Used to be you could just plug a WinMo phone into the PC, and it was automatically reverse-tethered, through Mobile Device Center I think. Can an old WinMo phone share that reverse-tethered internet connection to another phone via Bluetooth?
Do old WinMo phones still have a reverse-tethered internet connection over USB in Windows 8.1?

Hello there,
I have a Asus P320 Cell phone. With Windows 6.1 Mobile OS.
Whenever i connect the phone with my computer on USB (I connect phone directly to my computer, NO USB hub) for ActiveSync my entire wireless network ( 3 PCs connected on Wireless) get disconnected.
Till the time my phone is on connected with USB, my Access Point just repeatedly get disconnected.
Can anybody help me with this problem?
Hi All,
I have had a look through the forums, (I may just not be searching for the right thing.) so please excuse me if this has already been answered somewhere.
I have just bought the Hero everything is standard at the moment as I am not sure yet what I am doing with the Android OS as I currently have a Rhodium WinMo phone.
On the Rhodium you are able to connect the USB cable to the PC and use you PC's current DSL connection to access the internet from the phone and not the phones mobile internet connection, I have not been able to achieve this from the Hero, it keeps telling me I need to enable the mobile internet connection to access the internet.
Does the Hero have the same functionality as the WinMo devices?
Many Thanks
afaik this is not possible so far. easiest way to get landline internet on the hero is to use wifi.
Well, if you have Windows 7 in your PC, you can use Wireless Hosted Network and use PC's internet connection by connecting Hero to Win7 via WiFi. Manual instructions I used. Alternatively you can try Connectify or Virtual Router, but they are just a pretty interface for the same thing and I couldn't get them to work.
Many Thanks for the help i will try this out
