Its a great news for Indian users who are in 4.4.2 still now. But there is no specific date and 3 days to go to end this week. Hope it will be here soon.
I hope they don't give us 4.4.4 early and then bail on us with Android L....

Do you really think they will do that? They said 1 guaranteed update.which means next major update.these are just bug fixes.
Besides they said they will give 4.4.3 and 1 more update is still there. So now instead of 4.4.3 they are rolling out 4.4.4
That's all. So don't worry about it.

I hope... :fingers-crossed: though I think they'll give us Android One, not that they should.... Our E deserves L
yeah....lets c ...what happens next....hope we get direct 4.4.4 instead of 4.4.3 .
And as promised by Motorola , moto e will b getting one major updates and that surely is Android L. Lets hope for the best.

Don't worry about Android L update. Motorola completely open sourced our kernel source code. If Motorola doesn't give us update it may not be a problem . There are third party roms like CyanogenMod which will work perfectly with our device . Moto E will run all Android releases perfectly for the next 2 - 3 + years. So enjoy the present.

Just FYI. Kernel source isn't enough to upgrade to new OS. But we have more than that. But moto didn't give out only kernel source I meant[emoji6]

Well, I've unlocked my XT1022 bootloader, flashed TWRP and rooted....
What do I need to do now if I intend to receive the 4.4.4 OTA or plan to update my device through MDM?
---------- Post added at 03:57 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:40 PM ----------
BTW for updates on the 4.4.4 OTA for condor, check out @motorolasupport Twitter handle...
They have officially tweeted about the 4.4.4 OTA, but I dunno what do they mean by the update still has to be released from the network provider???

Has anyone received the 60 mb update released by Motorola to fix the ram issue n apps getting killed issue?
Motorola loves #US ignoring Indians :/
That update is for Lollipop,
I think we will get update of Lollipop along with that fix (I mean may be we will get build 22.21.16 directly). And Motorola don't ignore India(ns).

So my question to you is, did something similar happen to you. Did it take few days for your phone to appare in my stuff of the Motorola account.?

Never install the update as soon as it arrives , give it a few weeks to see how it runs .
I remember the official 4.3 update on my galaxy s3 , it made the phone unusable for months until they released a patch for it

+1 for not sharing ota but no one shared for Indian users too, till date not a single person proved that they got LP soak in India, n neither any of them shared the ota links...this is the reason have converted to Braz framework n now I got 5.01 ota too..
Edit: I can say Braz framework is way much better then Asian n m having no issues n no mood to revert to Asian.

LATEST UPDATE [06-19-2015]
Full deployment has started for US Retail, Brazil Retail and Rogers in Canada.
Source: David Schuster - https://plus.google.com/+DavidSchuster/posts/bEVD4De32Uo
UPDATE [06-09-2015]
"I wanted to give a quick update on where we are with the Lollipop upgrades for the 2013 Moto X (1st Gen) devices.
We have started full soak testing in France and Germany retail this week with the expectation of full deployment next week if all goes well.
In addition, we have addressed an issue we found in a previous soak test and should start full soak testing in the US and Brazil for retail later this week. If all goes well, full deployment can happen the following week.
There were some questions about support for Lollipop upgrades from our carrier channels. We are in a number of the carrier labs now so we don't anticipate issues in getting the upgrades deployed. As you guys know.... the carrier channels typically take longer.
UPDATE: If all goes well with the soak testing this week we expect to start deployment for 2013 Moto X (1st gen) in India next week."

UPDATE [04-22-2015]
Due to the "leaks" about 5.1 "updates rolling out" in Brazil, here's some trusted words in regard to 5.1 current state:
"We're still in testing. We'll post something in the parked comments when it moves to the Soak stage and then again when full deployment happens. Don't always believe what you read online."

Do you mean those who installed 5.0.2 test drive?
I don't think Motorola would leave the official MFN testers on an incomplete test drive version, furthermore it makes sense to use the same testers to test 5.1, so as soon as those users get 5.1 it will leak and those who sideloaded 5.0.2 will have the upgrade.
Otherwise, it would be as easy as return to 4.4.4 temporary (skipping gpt and motoboot) and sideload the 5.1 upgrade, not big deal.
No matter what, the situation is not to feel bad about them, maybe they'll even get the upgrade before you do.
I have an brazilian XT 1058 and take the soak. I will be able to update to 5.1?
Logically yes.

Have you even used it?
I'm not saying Moto did or did not fix anything, but so many people keep saying "Ohhh its version XXXX which has XXXX bug!"
1.) We don't run AOSP
2.) When google updates android, all of those changes are published. 5.1 is NOT a full re-write, sections of code are fixed. These fixes are published and if moto REALLY felt like it they could apply all the same code changes to a 5.0.1 base... At that point what is "version number" is is kinda semantics....
Moto started work on 5.0.2, so that is what their build is called, there is no reason they cannot include the already published bug fixes from later versions of android so they they can release their tested a developed build rather then throwing everything away and starting with a new base every time google updates.

Motorola does extend invites to unlocked devices. AFA rooted goes, that doesn't affect their invite because they don't know if you're actually rooted or not. The soak will not install on a rooted device though, but if you unroot the soak will install on an unlocked bootloader.
only noobs got the update..
Really true..

Yes u right ,, alrast sooner or later we will get it but I fear we may have to wait 10+ days more ,, these excitement makes it really hard .
Here When huwaei announces Android 6 beta for UK region they publicly acknowledge it . And here Moto ,even when they release ota final one ,,no one knows until they receive it . Wheres the Marketing Pr team for it ,here Moto G turbo oficial anroid 6 rollut and no one knew it until they saw the notification
Anybody can post simple steps to capture ota update, as if i get ota but not know how to capture it then how can i post it?

They are retarded af. I asked twice for a TWRP backup at least if they don't know how to capture the OTA. But they helping nobody and they don't care.
I'm finally starting to understand why we have so full of bug stock roms if people testing this rom are retarded and can't even capture the ota or make a twrp backup.

If you got the OTA and flashed it then it's too late. You have to be rooted while downloading the OTA zip and copy it from system cache folder with for example ES explorer.
But you can still make a TWRP backup of your system by flashing TWRP recovery. Can you help us?
Final release date is 24th January
