ive got a d802 and i flashed this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2728727 btw i dont understand anything about basebands and kernals im a noob. anyway i now want to change to the cloudypro 2 rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2680745&highlight=twrp but i think the first rom i downlaoded changed m kernel im not sure about my baseband and i dont no how to get them back. i have got a backup of my stockrom on twrp but i read that sometimes restoring them can cause a bootloop/brick because of different kernel and baseband. if you want any more info just say. i would be really grateful if anyone could help me thanks

Flash the ROM
After boot if you lose rotation just flash KK Baseband in recovery.
Make sure you have at least TWRP 2.7.0.0.
Find baseband here:
http://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=12880
Dont think is a good idea to use the backup.

Hello there everyone,
I'm new here (mainly registered just to ask since no-one could help) and in need of some help.
I have a samsung galaxy GT-I9500 and I cannot upgrade above 4.4.2.
When flashing an AOSP roms or roms above 4.4.2 (eg. 4.4.4) my device seem to lose it signal in for of:
Baseband Unknown and Null IMEI.
I have tried flashing different modems and kernels with no effect, The only thing that seem to work is flashing stock 4.4.2.
Currently i'm on stock:
PDA: I9500XXUGNH4
CSC: I9500OJKGNI1
MODEM: I9500JKUGNH1
*I think the problem might be a the EFS partition formatting getting wrong partitioning (Again I have no technical idea what-so-ever)
Any help will be appreciated :^)
Thanks in advance,
Old Geezer

Maybe this problem is caused by an old recovery? How are you installing custom ROMs? Throug recovery? And if yes, which one are you using?

I install roms thrugh Philz touch recovery and I make sure to erase everything (eg. cache system data etc.)
When checking my efs folder though I got bunch of files no Idea if they need to be there or not lol...
If on stock rom it works, then your partition is fine. Stay away from the /efs folder.
Try a different recovery / update your recovery. Try changing the modem.
If it still doesn't work then it's probably a bug in the rom.

I can't flash ANY 4.4.4 roms I don't talk about specific one, and as I mentioned I tried changing to all available modems.
As for recovery I use the latest philz touch and in TWRP it won't work either.
So it not the recovery fault.

That's because ANY 4.4.4 is based on CM. So if it's a bug in CM, then ANY 4.4.4 will have that bug.
You could try some older builds from CM and see if they work.

maybe not supported by the rom? but i don't know exactly sorry. might be a kernel thing too
I have tried all 3 kernals for ls98p stock furnace and dorimanx ive. Compared build props between d802 and 980 im pretty sure its in the rom just trying to vet more feed back on what to try im not no dev but i have a pretty damn good understanding. Of whats going on i try compiling both roms the. I get the usual force closes of trying to unlock 980 througb build prop. Aparantly the rom developer will help other people with there issues but he will now answer me back to help so im kinda in a hard place i just cant believe no one else is asking about this issue
Cloudyflex, cloudystock, cloudyg2 all have the fm radio and are unlocked out of the box. Why mess around with a locked rom and build.prop edits?

Hi all, this is my first ever post so please bear with me!
I have a Note 4 sm-910f. I rooted recently and have the latest TWRP installed. I have tried to install a number of ROMs but:
If I install AOSP based I get a "Failed" error and a note to say that the ROM is not the correct one for the device - it seems to get my device wrong too?!
If I install a Touchwiz ROM such as NoteX it appears to flash OK but it just keeps bootlooping upon restart.
Any ideas? Could it be anything to do with the modem or bootloader? I'm currently on stock 5.0.1.
Any help greatly appreciated!
Cheers

Hi, thanks for the quick response.
I did mean X-note. I have tried a number of other ROMs too, Aliance - Emotion Revolution.
Right now I tried flashing a new bootloader/modem as per this ROM "http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/snapdragon-dev/rom-robomix-t3069298" but now I'm stuck in a complete bootloop!!
I think I need to get the correct bootloader and/or modem - I just don't have a clue why or what is what. I an't find any guides!

Currently have TWRP 2.7.0.0 installed and a rooted stock 4.4.2 using the D800.
Does anyone know of any tutorials that can tell me what to do? I'm not new to all this but this G2 has got to be the most discombobulated phone to tinker with that I've come across.
I'm reading that the go to MM I first have to flash KK but then I read that I need to upgrade my TWRP or something to flash KK then there's all this about different bootloaders and etc etc....
I'm just lost. Everything I can find is all from like 2-3 years ago so I don't know what's changed since then, etc.
*sigh*
Can anyone help me? Thanks!

I can help i have same phone , but i see other question in other thread . whats the situation.? right now of the phone. and ill do my best to explain the process never been in jb but i think its the same..
Which specific Marshmallow you're asking about? There is no official LG G2 Marshmallow, but there are several AOSP ROMs. Usually, the process is explained on the ROM developer site or here on this forum in the ROM's announcement.

From what i understand omega v20 does not support 900I. It also uses phoenix kernel which I have heard has compatibility issues with 900I. Try Omega V18 (lolipop) or if you want a marshmallow based rom, try something else. Remember that these posts were posted years ago and that last year's "latest TWRP" is not THE latest TWRP.
you may want to flash original firmware via sammoblie to get you out of this predicament first.
edit. also post on a more appropriate thread next time. or else no one is going to find ur question
