Hey guys,
I managed to convert the demo calculator on the Polymer Project website into an .apk so we can use the material design calculator on our phone.
Let me know what you guys think.

Let me know if it works properly. Thanks!
Works on my moto x!
Is it just a webview to open polymer project page or a native app.
Also if its native app how did you ported it ?
Works on LG G2 with CM11. Looks great! Thanks.
Results seems incorrect.

What the hell is 50+10%? 10% of what? That doesn't make any sense.
The graphic is very nice but I've noticed lag in addition to wrong results, a good place to work..

I was just testing the calculator.
This is the first thing came to my head. Calculation makes perfect sense,
10% of 50 is 5
So it’s 50 + 5 + 10
Don’t think this calculator can handle percentage.

Actually they're right. Regardless of some calculators spitting back a result, that expression is mathematically meaningless.

ATZ is right. His math is a bit strange. However, a calculator should correct this and change 10% to 5. Try the math with most calculator and it will give you 65. More advanced ones will change 10% to 0.10 which would give you 60.1.

You have a point, the correct answer to that should be 60.1, but in any case is a bad mathematical expression and shouldn't be used.
Hell I never use the % symbol when doing math in the first place, but that's another matter.

Sorry guys, my math may seem strange but I do use % at work and sometimes I use my phone to do it. This calculator can't calculate % so that I'd point it out.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Free mobile app
So back to the app. Any number longer than 7 digits will be cut off. Font size does not change to accommodate for large numerical values. And no, this mathematical expression does not make sense. It's only to show an issue with font size adjustment.

The point we're making is that it's not that the calculator doesn't handle %, but that your way of writing it is wrong.
50+10% doesn't mean 50+ (10% of 50). In principle, as I said, I'd call that wrong because is not clear what you want. Or in any case it would mean 50 + 10*1/100, that is, 50 + 0.1

Screen Filter. It's free from the marketplace. It tones down your brightness significantly under the lowest setting in TouchWiz.
I used to keep sunglasses next to my bed for sleepy-time Reddit browsing, but not any more!
Here's an A-B for you non believers. First photo is at lowest brightness setting in TouchWiz. Second photo is at 34.1% brightness (toggled by Screen Filter widget)

that is so not true. i use flash everyday on my phone with embedded youtube videos on sites, watch the euro on my phone thanks to flash support and a lot of other stuff. It's true that a lot of the bigger budget more mainstream site have converted to HTML5, but i find it absolutely revolting that when i'll need it, i wont be able to use flash. I really hope some devs cook something up for that.

The apk will be floating around until html 5 takes over completely. Flash for desktop pc's will not require websites to use beyond flash 11 (if ever) until long after html 5 is in full force. We will be ok.

Its not like its not going to work anymore. Its just no longer being supported or updated. Flash 11 is all we need for every website. Iphone users would give there left nut to have an apk that works. Even if it never gets updated. Maybe even both nuts.

Im not saying that its not outdated, i'm saying that a very large number of sites still use flash and our apk will work until the site goes to html 5. So it no longer getting updated is not a big deal. Its old news.
Now, If our flash apk simply doesnt work on jellybean, then you will have some upset folks.

Yup. I had a LOLApple moment a few days ago in a bagel place. My 4yo wanted to sit next to another ~4yo and his mom. After a few minutes, my 4yo asked if he could use my phone to play a game on the Nick Jr website. I gave him my phone. When the other 4yo saw this, he asked his mom to do the same with her iphone. Ruhtroh, Nick Jr is a flash site and so her iphone wouldn't load it.

You'll need a BT keyboard, because there's no way to open up the virtual keyboard when you get to the login window, and unfortunately you can't go fullscreen since the applet is fit to the size of the window. So you're stuck with the bar at the top.

Jumping into the game seems to give you a black screen as of right now...
... but going into settings and manually tinkering with it I GOT THE GAME TO LOAD!!!!! It takes three and a half years (not even exaggerating that bad, literally took half an hour), but it works!
Basically, just tap the gear at the top right and set it to low, then refresh if you need to. Try not to scroll if you can help it. Then start up the game!
Once you can see everything on the ground, the game's still not done loading. Give it some more time and THE SKY APPEARS!!! (...along with a subscribe button)
Aaaand a couple years later, your character will finally appear.
Be careful taking screenshots, this is super intensive on the hardware so it'll lag really, really, really bad. The audio will snip and your screen will flash like 80 times.
The FPS is terrible if you were wondering.
Here's a video.
Haha
I stopped playing that a long time ago - here are a few screenshots that I have
Supposedly it runs poorly on PCs too. The game itself is still beta and hasn't been optimized yet.
I'm not even sure Chrome will utilize the GPU, so maybe forcing GPU rendering in Dev options will help.
Sent from Nexus 7 FHD from XDA Premium HD
That probably wouldn't help since it's a 3D game, right?
I stopped playing this a couple years ago but its quite neat that it actually loads in Chrome.

Sure, I bet he did, but it's still a live wallpaper that needs to download images and use the CPU to blur them. It's probably not too much though.
Would only drain battery while the wallpaper is showing. Although using their featured images would have to connect once a day, I doubt the battery drain would be much.

The CPU doesn't actively need to be used to blur (it could just be a blurred overlay and the opacity cycles to transition).
Additionally, I use it, and since I have it using local images only, it doesn't take a hint of battery. Unless you manually change it, all the wallpapers it cycle through are blurred by default.
Nice find!!! Lovin'it!!
Only question is if any one knows which calender app the screenshot of the app shown in the GP is by any chance??
It looks so good!!

That would be this:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.underwood.agenda
It's not an app, it's a widget.

You're welcome. It's quite a pretty widget and really shines on blurred wallpapers.
Woow, simply fantastic
Hypothetically...
If one were to develop a plugin for Muzei, where would one start? I'm art professional and I think this has a lot of potential as a platform for museums and galleries! But I am new to development so how should I approach this... Thanks and if it's posted in the wrong place kindly refer me to where I have to ask!
Is it just me or this LWP takes 150 MB of RAM :what:
