How to downgrade from BajaRom KK to any 4.3 ROM? - Verizon Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there anything special I need to do? I was on Hyperdrive RSL 7 and upgraded successfully to BajaROM NC2/NC4 KK ROM... not happy. What do I have to do to go back to RSL 7? Any help would greatly be appreciated!

Did you take the OTA and root it or were you on 4.3 then upgraded to a rooted 4.4.2 ROM?

It's easy, just flash the retail stock MJE tar from the link below in Odin, root it with Towelroot, install SU, Busybox (install BB once you install the app), and then install SafeStrap 3.65 and flash any 4.3 ROM.

Rooted AT&T 4.3 MK2 upgrading to 4.4.2 (and root)?

Hi,
I read the news that 4.4.2 is out. Is it really out?
I have stock ROM rooted using vroot. I've disabled the updates so it's still on 4.3 MK2.
Is there a safe process to upgrade to the latest 4.4.2? Any way to keep root or re-root?
Thanks

There is no root for 4.2.2, nb1. There is a tar file that can be used in Odin. There is also a work around so you can run a 4.4.2 rooted rom. See the general forum

[Q] 4.4.2 ROM back to Hyperdrive

I am already rooted on the 4.4.2 KK ROM. During this process, I installed the KK bootloader as advised. Can I install the Hyperdrive ROM from here w\Safestrap or do I need to Odin\flash stock back down to ICS which Hyperdrive is based on?
Thanks much!

You would have to Odin back to 4.3 Jellybean to run Hyperdrive. Although sbreen said he will be updating the build to 4.4.2 shortly. So if your on the leaked rooted kitkat build just hang tight a bit longer.

As it turns out, he released the new version. I've flashed to it and it seems to be working well.

Can you flash a 4.4.2 rom on a 4.4.4 device?

I know you can't flash a 4.4.4 rom on a 4.4.2 device, but does it work backwards? I'd like to check out the ShoStock rom. I'm currently unrooting my phone due to me messing it up - so I am using odin to take it back to NB1. I'm wondering if I take the 4.4.4 OTA update, can I still flash Shostock's rom which is based on 4.4.2?
Thanks!

Yes you can, you just need to flash the correct module for the rom you install.

[q] sm-g900v root

I'm looking to root a Verizon S5 running 4.4.4 (G900VVRU1ANK2). I updated to 5.0 and didn't want it so I flashed back, but towelroot doesn't work for this version either. Is there a way to step it back to 4.4.2 and it work? Thanks!

Download this, flash via Odin, then root again. You will be on NGC, 4.4.2
