Hello,
In my Android watch (LG) there is a microphone and a speaker...
Is it possible to receive a call directly with my watch without touching my phone?
I want to answer and speak to my watch directly
(Like bluetooth handset fonctionnality.)

Call yourself from another phone and try it. We all want to know if it really has a speaker.

You are literally the ONLY person who has said that about the watch...is there some way you could post a video or something? Not saying I don't believe you. not trying to be mean either....just that its rather odd everyone missed this.
If it does indeed have a speaker, I'm sure SOMETHING can be hacked to allow calling from the watch, might take a while, might even have to be a hack on the PHONE rather than the watch, no idea...

I have this watch now and I cannot use the speaker anymore... Sorry but it's seems that I made a mistake.
I had my phone near the watch when I try maybe it was my phone who react to my "OK Google" question.
I'll do more tests

The watch does not have a speaker in it, it only has a mic so i am assuming it was your phone talking back to you.

I got a nice idea btw...
Voice in->Watch microphone
Phone->Voice Out->Headphones connected to phone.
Anyone? Would this work right away? right now if you connect headphones to phone you can hear call audio through headphones but saying anything doesn't work at all, cuz headphones don't have mics.

That's nothing new. And yes it will work straight away, just connect both bluetooth devices and set to use the watch as mic and headphones as speaker.
The watch does not show up as a mic in Android BT settings. And I don't know of any BT profile that have audio in without having audio out too.

Or you know, you could get headphones/earphones with a mic...Most phones tend to include a cheap set.

Sure they can. They also make adapters so you can use a microphone with any set of headphones.

I'm very iffy about these kinds of things. I usually use a DAC which is connected to my headphones. Again, the point is not that there are alternates but that this is an option I would like to have, I use very expensive audio gear, I'd hate to ruin that experience with an inline mic-adapter thing (or buy one with good wiring, which would cost reasonable amount of money...etc).

Well aren't you hard to please. With high end audio hardware as you say, I really doubt an adapter or inline microphone is going to be the quality 'bottleneck' (for lack of a better term) when we're talking about a watch or phone...
This is all possible, but I mean...look at the level of development this will take. You'll be changing the fundamental way the watch is meant to function...all so you can use it in a way where there's already existing alternatives (e.g. the tizen galaxy gears). I don't really see anyone tackling this. Voice messaging, sure...but not live access to the mic for two-way communication.
Is "to look /feel cool" a valid reason then?

Roll on the A2DP update. Anyone seen them cheaper?
Be aware that I owned a set of these breifly and they do not activate Voice Dialing... So cannot be used with voice command.
The highly informative comment I got from Bluetake support was
Sorry, the BT450Rx don't support voice dialing function.

And it took them 2 weeks to come up with that helpful statement!
If anyone finds some nice stereo BT headphones which support A2DP and still activate voice dialing do let me know!
Otherwise I did really like the BT450Rx...
I'm looking at getting some headphones, so far I'm inclined to get either
i-Tech BlueBAND Bluetooth Stereo Headphones or Motorola HT820
Any opinions on both of these would be appreciated (positive / negative) as I'm hoping to do the purchase this weekend :?
I have the HT820's, though of course they don't quite work fully with the Universal (no A2DP), but work fine as a normal headset. I just listen to music with the cable, which is a useful intermediary option.
The sound from the headphones is not too bad, many ppl say that in A2DP mode it's rather quiet, but wired, it's more than adequate. The one bad thing about them, though, is long term comfort. After about an hour, they pinch the ears a little too much, but you can shift their position every now and then and it's not too bad.
HI there,
Has anyone modded their headset to fit decent headphones??? IF not can anyone recommend a good sounding bluetooth headset or an adapter so you can plug your own headphones in yet retain mic functionality.
Ade
I'm getting a set of Jabra BT8010's.
Got the jabra bt8010, and is excellent with our device. The caller ID is a god send, works a treat. However the named contact are limited to only 30 names. Performance using A2DP is very good. Range and performance and reliability are excellent compared to previously tested devices. I got mine from Amazon for around £66 delivered.

If you are looking for ultimate sound like me, then you should always use a wire headset
I have wired Sennheisers as they are fantastic quality, but I also bought the Jabra 8010 for it's caller ID, vibrate function and phonebook. The quality of the sound in stereo headset mode is not fantastic, but easily as good as the usual wired solutions you get with HTC phones. It's just if you're used to Sennheisers, you're a bit spoilt and nothing else seems as good. I am still waiting for a stereo BT headset with phone functionality but bass-enhancing Sennheiser style earpieces, though.
Cheers

I am using ACS T2i for my music headset (you might not know this). And for answering the call, i have iTech Clip D which has caller ID. They work together smoothly. If you have the wired headphone plug in, you can still answer the call from your Bluetooth headset.
I notice that itech do one call the s38, its the same as the clip d but has a 3.5mm jack so you can use your own headphones. THs that this might bethe way forward. Definately worth investigating

it's not the same, there are lots of iTech headphone and they all look the same, the clip D has an external LCD so you can display caller ID. s38 don't have external LCD, but it has media control

Try an app called BTMusic. This is supposed to push audio through any BT device with a speaker. This was done for this exact purpose. I tried it a few times, but never really got it to work with my Blue Angel.
Give it a go, you may have better luck. Before you ask me for it, google it as it is not in this site (as far as I can remember)
Hi all,
When i'm driving, my phone is always connected to the headphone jack, so i can listen to spotify over my car's radio ^^
But when i receive a call, the phone always routes the audio output to the internal speaker, which is rather useless in this situation
Is it somehow possible to route the sound to the headphone jack, when receiving a phone call? Maybe some kind of a kernel patch?
Would make a good replacement for a hands-free kit

Yes, this is something I should implement soon in Voodoo sound.
In skype, I could make voice calls using a headphone without microphone. Skype all automatically uses the built in microphone.
Now, how do we make dialer the same?

What I do to fix this problem is to use a Nokia headset adapter since Nokia uses the same 4 pin configuration as Samsung and it works.
I don't really think this can be fixed software wise... I would be pleasantly surprised if it was

Thanks a lot. Thats perfect
Well most of you may already know this but I thought it was interesting enough to share. The oneplus, when connected to another device using bluetooth, acts as a speaker for the other device. So when connected to my macbook, audio from the laptop is reproduced by the phone. Plug in headphones into the phone and you've got makeshift wireless headphones. Works perfect and sound quality is fantastic. Just thought it was a pretty nifty idea to share.
Thanks! I didn't know that before.

That is awesome!
I'll try it out when I go home tonight. Super excited!
Two questions:
1) Can we change the track volume etc? [UPDATE: NO. We can change volume, but that's the phone's volume that we change. It is slightly different from A2DP compatible device volume. Wasn't able to change tracks.] AND
UPDATE 2: I tried the app: Tablet Remote and connected to another phone (many other apps to connect as remote to PC). Now I can even control the track, volume etc. Awesome . Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tournesol.tabletremote With a couple of other apps, the OPO is now a permanent fixture on my car. I'll write a writeup soon of what I am doing.
2) Now, if only there was a way to show up as 'Phone Audio' and receive phone calls from another phone, that'll be the icing on the cake (have a workaround sort-of for this. App=Tablet Talk. I get phone notifications and texts from another phone)
for me its unfortunately not working with my Samsung Series9 Notebook with Windows8.1

On your Notebook, once you connect, you will need to change the default audio output device from your Speakers to your Phone.
