Donwload latest build from their thread, go into recovery mode, wipe cache data dalvik system, flash zip, flash gapps, reboot.
im a little worried somethings going to go wrong.......if something goes wrong would i be able to fix it?
Yeah dont worry. Just follow the procudre described in the rom thread and you ll be fine. Just to prevent any prpblems you should back up your standard rom before start flashing

no problem give me a sec
edit: you dont need to flash the baseband dont worry. that rom use kitkat baseband, and you already have it because you re on stock 4.4.2, so backup your stock lg rom, and then do the flashing steps.
Thanks so much im going to flash the rom in a little while!! again Thank you
No problem, if you encounter any issues pm
should i follow these intructions http://sonic-developers.com/downloads/d802/Installation Instructions.txt what does mount system and data partitions....... do i need to do that
I wouldn't if it was me!
My usual method is:
Backup
Wipe everything except internal storage (including system)
Flash ROM
Flash Gapps
Reboot

Searched the entire XDA forum and couldn't find a thread like this one (at least one that explains what i want to accomplish). Let's cut to the chase...
CyanogenMod7.1 - i've got it and i used it and i don't like it (don't ask me why, maybe i used touchwiz for too long so i got accustomed to it ), so i want my original kernel and ROM back... And I know exactly which ones to use , got them downloaded right here. The thing is - I'm not sure how to do it. Should i use clockworkmod recovery and flash it? Should i use RomManager? Should i use Odin? Any help from someone who has done would be appreciated.
And also , one more question... Somewhere i found a comment by a guy that says that if i was to flash back original ROM and kernel i would still be stuck with a custom recovery. Can anyone explain that too ?
If by ANY chance a thread like this exists I'm sorry i opened a new one ( I really did search for a long time ). Cheers everyone

Hey, im pretty sure your answer has been answered many times before in guides how to flash ROMs.
You haven't stated what ROM you were on previous so i will assume that it was stock.
if you are flashing a full stock ROM use Odin, look at the following thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278
It has a full guide to which files go where to get back to your stock rom and kernal.
ps. the comment you mentioned, that person might have been referring to a custom ROM, if you chose to flash a custom rom based on stock then you would stay with a custom recovery.

Thanks for the reply, I know about intratech's thread , that's where i downloaded my stock from. The thing is I wasn't sure which way to do it. I read more about recovery last night and i found out that on sgsII it is linked to the rom, so basically when i flash a stock rom and a stock kernel using odin i would get the normal - default recovery partition? Should I wipe data/cache before flashing back the stock ?

If you downloaded from Intratechs post you will get a stock rom with a stock kernel, this will give you a default recovery. All of the downloads there are 100% samsung so there wont be anything modded or changed.
You wont have to wipe data/cache before you do it as when flashing via odin you will be putting your phone in to download mode and odin will do the rest.
Just make sure to read the guide in Intratechs thread to the letter.
My advise to you for the future is to read up completly before flashing something just so you arent stuck with something you dont like on your phone.

Flashed it and all is fine now... Altough i did get an infinite boot loop so i had to wipe data/cache anyway for the phone to boot properly... So I guess it wouldn't hurt to do it before flashing stock... Btw i knew what i was flashing , i wanted to try it out... Ty for the reply

Yes there is a way, theres an app you can install called Autorec, this application will automatically set up a Custom Recovery for you to backup your files, here's a Link to get started.

Thanks for the fast reply, well i read this comment on the link you game me, im just curious and also worried that i might brick my phone, cause im a total noob when it comes to these things,
Here's some of the comments i read about D802T
"Please note you cannot install custom recovery in stock KK via any method for the D802T Australian variant and get it to boot. LG has not released kernel source code for Aussie variant, for KK, so Loki exploit does not work. If you want a custom recovery under KK you will have to install a custom ROM with already patched kernel. If you plan to stay on JB 4.2.2, however, you can indeed root and/or install TWRP without hassle on stock."
"u cant use this on the Australian version D802T.
It will soft brick your phone."
Now what should i do? im just very confused.

there is a way to do it. Follow the guide and root kk but before you install autorec, make sure you have a custom rom zip ready to go on your phone sdcard and whilst still in TWRP (dont try to boot into kk yet), simply flash your custom rom, and then the phone will boot normally.

Scroll down to the end of second post. There are files, like i said above. I don't know this will flash everything correctly, without any brick, but i will try it, sounds safe.
Patch return KK droidh
Yes, if your'e on stock based 5.0.2 or cm 12.1, flash PATCH RETURN KK DROIDTH and DONT FORGET to then reboot to recovery - then you will be able to flash KK rom.
Try it yourself you will learn the difference.
Rly worth it? Lp is not bad at all..

I am currently running OptimusG3 V1.4.1 rooted, used TWRP, for over a year, and it's time to change. I have d802.
I need a new ROM that will be fast and clean. My main uses are surfing the net, whatsapp, music etc... nothing too demanding.
What ROM do you recommend?
Also I need a guide that tell me exactly what to do because I don't want a brick. I don't want to mess something because the modem version is not okay or something like that.
I want to make a clean install and remove all the things that are currently on the device. I want everything new and fresh on it.
If you need more details, please ask.
Thanks

if you have KK d802. this is how i do it .
you already have root and twrp right? i asumed as you have that rom on phone.
if not just search for root method for your variant/ and search for KK autorec for your variant.
then i would recommend updating your twrp, with blastagator thermal control twrp from here.
choose your variant. just flash thermal twrp to installe it.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/development/twrp-twrp-2-8-0-0-kernel-f2fs-tools-t2898705
this is to take you to lollipop. am not sure if you want to stay in KK. if you do all you got to do is follow the roms installation instructions.. in rom thread. ... if you want to go lollipop then follow procedure.
back up al your data to pc.
go into thermal twrp. wipe all partitions including sd card. this will be a clean installation.
you can transfer files while you are in twrp too..
install this bootstacks for your variant. when install, reboot into recovery NOT TO SYSTEM. to take effect.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/development/lg-g2-bootstacks-t3173715
download flahable zip lollipop 30His latest i think.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/development-d802/rom-stock-30d-flashable-zip-t3070383
flash stock rom from above...it should install stock LP rom.
if you want to use custom rom based on stock LP the ndo the following.
search for root method for your variant.... on playstore search for autorec lollipop for you variant install and flash twrp.
update with the thermal control twrp. wipe required partitions from post..
and flash rom... thats it. :fingers-crossed:

back to stock like from factory ithink you need to use TOT or KDZ method using flashtools.
follow the guide here . no when you do KDZ or TOT id deletes everything puts phone to zero state resets everything. no need to worry about baseband..
