[Q] Nexus 7 2012 New Screen Issue - Nexus 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Help: yesterday half of the screen of my Nexus7 gets blurred from the center to one side as shown in the photos. What's the cause and is there any solutions for me?
By the way, yesterday my Nexus 7 has been upgraded to 4.4.4, and after the upgrade, I dropped it to the ground by accident.
I reconnected the FPC connector of the LCD screen both on Nexus 7 mainboard and Screen side, and nothing helps.
I also re-flashed back to the old version of ROMs, and still the same issues.

One surprising finding: if I observe the blurred screen part carefully, I even can see some an offset light background of the home page in corresponding area disregarded any pages you are seeing.

What setting do you use? Why?
I have a skin condition on the complete undersides of my hands (I believe it's called dermatitis or eczema) that causes them to be abnormally dry and peel thick layers off, almost 100% of the time.
Capacitive touch screens usually aren't sensitive enough for the weak current that passes through the tips of my fingers, but this setting, even with a screen protector, will detect one of my digits even if I hold it mere nanometers above the screen.
I also hated the jumpyness of swiping between homescreens due to 10 pixel movement detection. Bleh.
P.S. Did anybody else's Tapatalk favorites break recently? Mine just did.

I had the same issue last year, and it got worse. Luckily was just in the 1-year warranty period and had it repaired by Lenovo

need help from display hardware experts

I need help with my Note4's display. I paid a local phone repair shop to fix the cracked glass. when I got the phone back things looked different. most noticeably everything looked washed out, kinda greyish. I took it back to them and they replaced lcd. they said there was nothing more they could do and blamed the issue on the software. I reloaded the original firmware and the phone is now completely stock. I made a test pic with some gradients that confirmed my suspicions. the first pic attached, test2, is my phone side by side with a friends phone displaying the second pic, test. does anyone know what possibly went wrong?

Nexus 7 touch unresponsive

I have been using this device for more than 5 yrs. Recently screen rotation was not working so I tried to repair it by myself after watching some videos and forums. It was an easy process but due to my curiosity I dug into the hardware some more. During the process I mistakenly broke a piece from ZIF connector which was connected to the display. I don't know whether this could do anything to the touch. Now the touch becomes unresponsive. I am also thinking that the digitiser could be faulty but not ready to invest in a new one without knowing the real reason. Why this connector is for. Could this be the culprit? If so do I need to change the daughterboard? You can see the picture

Galaxy S6 Edge Green Tint and Flickering

Hi everyone, this is my first time posting on such forums related to my phone and such.
Been using my S6 Edge for over 4 years now, and recently I encountered an interesting problem.
During the pairs at college, I took out the phone from pocket, and noticed white lines on the right side of the screen.
On black color, there is a green tint coming out of the region these lines originate. Tried to find more information, but sadly nothing found.
I tried to tinker with the cables during the teardown, and these are still a thing. I hope hardware related posts are allowed here.
Any ideas what happened to the display? And do I need to buy a new one?
