Gallery App doesn't work well with Dropbox - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I sync my photos with Dropbox, via Gallery app.
On my Galaxy S4 the Gallery sorted my photos from Dropbox according to their folders.
However, on Galaxy S5 all of the thousands of Dropbox photos are shown as one album: Dropbox, and after entering this album, there is no way to show each sub-folder separately.
This is very (very) unfriendly way to view my photos.

Also, on the S4 there were much more options on Gallery App (like showing as Spiral etc.), which are missing on S5.
Is it reasonable that the MORE advanced phone will have LESS advanced features?

I'm having the same problems. Any solutions ? Please help x

Auto upload pictures??

Can someone help me. I have no apps on my device but it still continues to upload picture onto all my other devices, how come? Any idea how I can stop this
Do you have Google+ or Picasa enabled? If you do, it will sync all images to cloud.
Why would you not want this feature enabled? Is probably the coolest thing to have all your pics into Gallery, as images are not even stored into your device. Here it is how my Gallery looks:

"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
How do I disable this?
Sent from my EVO using xda app-developers app
go to settings then accounts then click on your gmail account and uncheck sync for google photos and maybe instant upload. (idk what instant upload does but sounds like it prob uploads to your google+)

Can someone explain what would cause this?

Hey guys, I've been having this issue with most of the custom ROMs I've been using (haven't tried touchwiz yet though), I noticed my phone for some odd reason duplicates my files :/, like by a lot sometimes, like sometimes when I check my gallery, I would have a folder with a default pic of like a could hundred pics, then when I check it later on, its up to like a thousand plus because my phone duplicates them, even my ringtones, I will upload screenies, could it be my SD card?, I got a samsung 64gig class 10, idk help?, note thank the images that are not shower are the ones duplicated, I'm guessing

Click to expand...
Click to collapse
Nope, I did a wipe on my phone and the problem came back after a day. Going to the service centre soon.
I downloaded a program QuickPic which now reveals everything within the app, BUT that is still not a solution for the main issue

Camera Modes disappeared

Today I wanted to take a panorama and when I open the camera app I see only auto mode.
I tried clearing data and restarting but its still the same. On tapping the + icon on top right, galaxy app store opens and I see additional modes like beauty face, rear cam selfie etc but the ones that were preinstalled (panorama, pro, selective focus etc) aren't there. I'm running the latest update.
Build number: NRD90m.G950FXXU1AQI7
I really don't wish to do a factory reset unless it's the last resort.

Samsung Galaxy S8 SM-G950FD Instagram stories direct shortcut trouble

On my old Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9505 16GB with latest GearCM (CyanogenMOD) i have a direct desktop shortcut to record a stories on one of my instagram accounts (image attached). Recently this phone crashed. I bought a new one Samsung Galaxy S8 SM-G950FD (Exynos) with latest official ROM. Install Instagram and i can't find this feature on it. No direct link or shortcut, or widget at all And it means for me that i have to make many clicks to start a storie record instead of one click with direct button...
Somebody help me with that, please. I need this shortcut.
