[Q] Waterproof case? - Galaxy Grand 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have been wearing out the Google box trying to find one for the sm-g7102. Anyone know of one, or one that is for another phone but is compatible with this one?

I have taken insurance cover for Rs1600. Covered against damage, breakage, water ingress etc. So that happens to be the best waterproof case!!

Spares for the Athena, anywhere?

Can anyone lead me to where to find a spare enclosure (not an external case).
The one that holds the whole thing together. Ok I need some help here to find the right term
My Athena fallen and I now got a bent Athena. An art piece I'm sure, but rather have it back to its shape, you know?!
So does anyone know where to find spares?
why dont you take a picture so we could see what exactly you need
Will need to find a mirror as it is the only camera I have
Anyhow I just find what it is. Is the SHELL. The black aluminum shell.
Is anywhere to be found it as a spare?
Thank you

Thank you.
I ordered the spare casing. Will post how it goes....
Sorted!!
I have received the casing, followed instructions and I now have a bright new Athena
The only bad thing is that the camera button and the volume sliders are missing from the replacing casing. and the camera button is a nightmare to take it over from the old one.
If anyone needs assistance with replacing the casing, just PM and I'll do my best to help.
So which did you get in the end, the brando one?
I'm contemplating doing mine at some point, it's pretty scarred.
I did go for the brando and it took about a week to receive it in Scotland.
The instructions are quite easy to follow, but the tools are a must, specially the flat tool to push the parts open. I got mine here when I repaired my powerMAC a few weeks ago.
does someone know where to get a new digitizer? my one is broken (the LCD itself is still fine) and I ordered this one. But they refunded me my money and said they are out of stock
Any suggestions?
Try the brando website.
It looks like they have a lot of spare parts...
If you can't find it, try to contact them, I got a few parts not listed this way.
Good luck

You can try here
http://www.gpsmidlands.co.uk/index.php?category=Pda Digitisers
but this is £90 of her majesty money
the one in your ebay link for £19 is unbelievable, are they for real?
Regards
they said they are out of stock but they promised to contact me if they get some "digitizer-only"
currently they only have full LCD screens for £150
as far as I can see the dealer seems to be realiable...

Question 3D printed S7 Edge Case

So I have a 3D printer, the Ultimaker 2+, and I designed a case for my S5 with the official Samsung wireless charging back on it. I'm thinking about designing a flexible case for the S7 Edge that's compatible with tempered glass screen protectors. My question is, does anyone have a 3D printer so I may share it with you? And, no I'm not advertising my product. Everything I create I release for free online. This is merely a heads up to those wanting a case that won't destroy a tempered glass screen protector. I read the rules, and feel that this is allowed, if not then I'm sorry in advance Mods, do with this post as you must, just don't permaban me.
If this is allowed, I would also like some ideas on a case. I designed my S5 case to redirect the speaker to the front of the phone (won't be easy for the S7 though because it's on the bottom) and also allowed a lanyard of some type to be attached. I also created a dock that fit the official Samsung wireless charger inside so I could place my phone on it in my truck to keep it from sliding off as I drove. Any and all ideas will be taken into consideration.
try asking on thingiverse
Have you tried to ask someone from Makerbot "thingiverse" to help you out I would help you but the delivery will be really expensive since I'm from another country.
Sorry I can't help

I don't necessarily need help. I really just wanted ideas on a design that others would like. And no delivery, or charging anything. I don't charge people for what I design.
I have a delta 3d printer i'd be interested in printing a case for this phone, im in need of one too

Replacement Back?

Hey so my 6P has a little damage along the Volume rocker and I was wondering about getting it fixed. Obliviously I would need to get a new back panel and most Im seeing are from China for about $20-$30.... Im a little skeptical on this and have a few concerns... Im also seeing this as a way to change from silver to black sooo.... What ones have people on here used before???
Are these parts generally legit and will fit no problem? What about adhesive to attach it back to the phone??

Hello,
Try this site:
https://www.parts4repair.com/
Should fit without issues. Otherwise try eBay. Search for someone who sold a lot of them and check his rep...
I don't know for the N6P, i never opened mine. But on my N6, the replacement back cover already had a new adhesive inside. Wait for confirmation on the N6P or ask the shop/seller...
Good luck...
Hey I found a thread on here where most of the people were saying to avoid it. What other sites sell cellphone parts??

Hello,
Parts4repair or eBay?
Why not just Google "Nexus 6p back cover replacement" ?
Cheers...

Vibration motor replacement

I guess the LG G6 is one of those really popular phones that has lots of tutorials for repairs online. So I was wondering if anyone here has tried replacing the vibration motor themselves. Seems like iFixit even does an instruction guide for this and sells the tools to do it yourself, some of which I need for other projects anyway. I'm no expert but years ago I reassembled working iPods out of parts from broken ones I'd buy online. Just want to know if anyone has any experience with it, if it requires soldering, and whether it's a job for serious pros only.
Thanks!
No soldering, it has gold contact pads. It's glued in but easy to remove.

Hmmm.. Ok. How do you put a new one in? Do you have to get mobile pcb glue of some kind?
Nope just take the old one out and put the new one in.
Ok I just figure if I can try this myself, I don't have to wait two weeks for LG to get my phone back to me.
