I am currently using 1.4 firefox for ZTE Open C, and to me it's a nice improvement over 1.3, has more features, plus just looks better, I am including a Link to some pics below.
Firefox has a way to go to catch android, but this is a great start, I really like my ZTE Open C phone, I have an advantage over most people as I am a android developer, so I can get more out of any OS than most people can, ie make custom recoveries, make backups, compile from source, and so forth.
From a devs point of view this phone has lots of potential.
http://postimg.org/gallery/c3k5jcdi/
I agree with you. From a pure aesthetics point of view, I think v1.4 is the best. It blends the horizontal home screen with static "favorites" drawer with the cleaner icons and colors of the v2.x branches.
I'd advise against you moving to v2.x as the usability of the homescreen took one step forward and 3 back in the v2.x branches.
You're also lucky that v1.4 is stable on your Open C It is highly unstable on my Open unfortunately.
It is pretty interesting to see how much each version changes from the one before it, especially since I've tried everything from v1.0 up to v2.1 so far on my Open
Both 1.4 and 2.1 are stable on Open C, 1.4 looks better to me though, I have compiled both versions, in the end I use 1.4 as daily driver.
I will be looking for beta testers soon.

I don't know when ZTE will release 1.4 you can compile your own if you want, that's about all you can do til ZTE releases 1.4.
I like the ideal we can compile our own version anytime we want, instead of waiting on ZTE.
I doubt there is much difference between US and EU ZTE Phones, A lot of US users are running EU version on their phones already.

I should have the rom uploaded Friday with instructions how to install, the recovery I will just post else where, Everyone is posting links to their roms, so I should be able to do the same. My Rom is for Open C, no ideal why the other guy is wasting peoples time posting links to roms, that even he knows wont work on Open C.

I was wondering why its been so quite after HTC released the new kernel for the Sprint Hero, I thought that was the missing link that was needed for complete 1.6/2.0/2.1 roms?
It hasn't been quiet.
Also the kernel that HTC released needs to be ported to 2.6.29 to fully work with 1.6+.
All this info is on the forum & easily obtainable.

I just thought we would see some 1.6/2.0/2.1 releases now that the kernel was released, that's all
There's been 1.6+ releases for a while...
Let me elaborate a little here:
This kernel that was released is not a magic bullet, it allows us to see what code needs to be changed to get the correct Kernel to run these newer versions. It also lets us make any performance changes we can find.
All of the changes need to be put into the current kernel source, making it a .29 or whatever we need.
It has been fairly quite, we aren't seeing tons of Roms being thrown out to the market, thankfully. Our devs are taking all the time they need to make sure everything works and is stable. We should see some big stuff happen in the next week or so.

the honeycomb sdk was compiled for arm v6, the ics sdk was compiled for arm v7. zte blades only have an arm v6 processor.
so, we need the source code so that it can be recompiled for our arm v6 phones. There's a little bit more to it than that, so don't expect ics for the blade on the same day as the source code is released, but we need the source code before we can start work on a blade version.
hopefully we'll get a working port of cm9 (which will be based on ics).

once he's worked it out the source code for cm9 will be available, then you can use that.
using the aosp source code, once you have it booting there are still other problems to fix, like the touch screen, audio & ril.
everyone involved with cyanogenmod should be very busy fixing those problems, so it's best to leave them to it if you can't help them. they don't need to be bothered with questions.

Do you think we will have a lineageos build for huawei nova?
That would be great, but first we need a rom base for any rom....
After my exams in february I would like to try porting Lineage OS to our huawei nova...but thats not a promise, it's an "Let's try and hope.."

I figured since this is a snapdragon device the chance for roms will be much higher. Since they don't really release anything for their own chipsets iirc.

DISCONTINUED
Hi Kenzoers,
I have a great pleasure in introducing a new Android OS to the world which is based on Lineage OS Source code and I thank Lineage team very much for the device tree, kernel and ofcourse the total Source code of it. We are starting rolling out this ROM only for Redmi Note 3 (Kenzo) - The SnapDragon Version as of now and soon it'll reach other popular devices as well. This ROM is named as BigBrains OS as this rom is build by BigBrains (That's us - Prast and Me. Well i'm Uvneshkumar and Prasat is my friend). Is this yet another ROM which has the features of almost any other custom ROMs? The answer is both yes and no. This ROM is almost nearly the same as that of the Lineage OS, but it has something apart from that. Well what's that? Have you ever thought of modifying something in android which you almost don't like? Or add an extra feature which you'ld love to have? May be most of you would've done the both. But how many of you have tried to implement that? Again ofcourse, many of you might have tried that also, but most of you might've failed and stopped working. Or some of you may not have enough resources to build a ROM. So why am I saying all this to you? Well, BigBrains OS is the solution to that. Sounds cool right. How? We've decided to develop BigBrains OS with the base source of Lineage OS and the idea of BigBrains OS's users. We code what you say into BigBrains OS and that'll reflect in the next update. And ofcourse this only happens if there is a good support for any new features.
We've added our own app into this ROM - BigBrains Touch - through which you can update your rom, and give us suggestions or even have funny chat with us. You'll have to check for updates manually and you will not be notified for any new update. We'll resolve this in the next update.
So why we've started this ROM? Well, it's a proven fact that "Unity is Strength". We may have some ideas which you don't like and if we add that into our ROM, you'll simply change the ROM. Right? Yes. So instead, all our users unitedly give us ideas, and you'll enjoy that in your next version. Isn't that COOL? Yes. So what are you waiting for? Give this ROM a try and give us your suggestions in BigBrains Touch app, so that we could improve ourselves.
You can find the ROM in this link. https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=178249. So that's it guys. If you have any questions or doubts, feel free to message us here or mail us at [email protected] or [email protected]. We'll be eagerly waiting for your messages.
Stay tuned and help us get tuned.
Thank you all.

It's still in preview stage. I'm running it on my pixel and really don't like it.
Nexus will get it's turn when it's stable. We probably still won't see a beta, but when they finish making it an ugly iOS clone they'll roll out like any other update, then we all can go back to flashing the same roms with different names.

I know how that feels ten roms a week because you can't find one that meets all the features you want.
As far that I'm aware, neither the 6p nor the 5x will receive Android P officially from Google. Support will end on both devices with Oreo 8.1.x , other than receiving security maintenance updates and whatnot.

Bugs as in it boots but doesn't fully work? Or bugs as in it won't build? I actually just finished a build but I have no way of testing if it even boots (my usb port seems to be shot, it only charges and won't connect via adb or fastboot).
If any brave souls wish to flash it and let me know what's broken (or if it even boots at all), I'll share a link.
I could test it if you mind to share
