Recently my samsung galaxy s4 i9500 is asking me to update software. I am in 4.4.2. Is it 4.4.3?
I read this article (http://au.ibtimes.com/articles/556954/20140625/samsung-galaxy-s4-android-4-2.htm) and i thought of asking here because i dont want to burn a possibility to have a root without tripping knox.
Can someone help me? Thanks!
No worries. It isn't android 4.4.3 and that article don't speak nothing about it either. You can update relaxed.

l think u are confused. Read again the article. Android 4.4.3 for Samsung devices isn't ready yet.

Can anybody tell me if I can safely flash this latest firmware on my sim-locked Note 3 N9005? Just checked thr OTA and Kies and something tells me I need to wait for some time to get the update.

So long as the region is fine, it doesn't affect Sim-Lock - I'd just hang tight and let KIES do it's thang man, safer that way
Too bad then. Since I'm in Asia and that firmware belongs to Poland.

I have a Note 3 N9005 with android 4.3 from UK baseband N9005XXUDMJ7 i want to update it to 4.4.2 but with the baseband from Romania N9005XXUENB4 is it possible? And if someone can point me to all the steps that i need to do cuz i am new in this.Thanks in advance.

Its doesnt matter as long as its an official rom, just know that once go to kikat theres no way to go back to jelly bean, u should look for the steps to flash the rom, it pretty simple.

Thank you for your answer! That is why i didnt update untill now cuz i wasnt pretty sure that 4.4 is better but if i will do it do i need to have the 4.3 rooted? If yes can u plz point me there?

Don't update. the KitKat version has a lot of problems!
For one, the SD Card read/write problem.
Second, for me, I have a problem with device heating while gaming and doing some intense things on KitKat.

Hi folks, I have problem with Samsung account synchronization.
I have stock Android 4.4.2 with root (KNOX 0x0) and SELinux status changed to Permissive (also with Enforcing is not working). But before update to Android 4.4.2 I had Android 4.3 without root and everything was working like a charm. After update with root (because of SD fix) I just can't sync my Samsung account. I need this synchronization because of Gear Fit which I'm already using.
Do you have any idea how to fix it? Or I will have to remove my root? Thanks.

And how do you explain that my friend have S5, root and don't have problem with Samsung account?

There's a downgrade bootloader available in the Note 3 Developer Discussion's KNOX thread. Go check that out. Look for the guy called RuchRa or something.

Just use the pit and then use any 4.3 firmware and it will downgrade greatly.
How to root WITHOUT tripping knox on Galaxy A7 A700FD model.

for s5 towelroot by geohot has worked.... but for A7 i am not sure...

Kingroot works on my A700H, and it doesn't trip knox counter. However it might trip the custom OS counter, so you will have to use Triangle Away.
P.S: I only tested this for 4.4.4, and is A700H, which is 3G Dual-SIM, so it might not work for the FD.
