[Q] Transparent Ongoing Notification? - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey folks
Is there an app that would hide (make it invisible/transparent) persistent notifications from the Status bar as well as Notification drawer but it would still be running in the background? I guess, I'm trying to say make them not to show up in Notif bar but keep them alive at the same time. It annoys me a lot when I have 2-3 ongoing notifications in status bar (such as AquaMail, Tasker etc). I would be glad if someone could point me into the right direction.
Similar thread here, but I dont know how to change that.

Push Notification?

Does this phone/Android in general offer push notifications?
I currently own an iPhone3GS (just got my PAC ,will be ordering Galaxy tomorrow)
I love Gooool 2009, keeps me up to date with scores in the football.I dont have to open an app to check the scores,it informs me as the goals go in.Is there something similar for Android?
And things like Facebook? Will I be informed if someone sends me an IM ala IM+ on iPhone?
I don't know about push notifications really, but your apps can stay connected to the internet in the background so 'live notifications' shouldn't be a problem.
The notification on android works differently (and, coming from an ipod touch, I'd say better). Your notifications will pop-up in the top bar, where your cellullar signal aswell as battery level and other things are displayed (at the moment they appear for the first time the notification bar will show text, like "New updates for program X" or "IM contact A says 'hey there, how are you doing?'", and then it will revert to the normal notification bar with icons for every missed notification). You don't have to click on them nor will they stop you from doing anything else. If you want to go to the app or the specific update/im chat, you just have to slide down the notification bar, and click on the notification. If you want to clear the notification bar, just slide it down and click clear.
edit: here's an example of the pulled-down notification bar on another android phone: http://thecellularguru. com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/android-g1-50.jpg (correct the link, I can't post links yet)

[Q] Lock Screen Issues- Status bar

Hollow xda community. I am having an issue with my lock screen. I am running action launcher and the Pacman ROM. My issue is that the status bar clock disappears on the lock screen. I tried running the stock launcher and it still disappears. I've attached screenshots of my issue.
Alex
Nice wallpaper.
Do you really need the notification bar clock?
What happens when you pull down the notification shade?
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda premium
It's normal. Its because it shows the clock widget on the lockscreen already, so there's no point of showing it in the status bar as well.
Thanks. If I pull the notification shade down the clock appears but then disappears when I pull it back up. I understand that its not really necessary but I end up missing notifications because I think my status bar is empty. I know. Kinda stupid.
Anyways if there's a quick fix I'll be glad. Otherwise I can learn to live with it

[Q] BajaROM: Any way to disable a specific icon in the Notification Bar?

Hey Guys,
I'm still running BajaROM (4.4.2) (SM-N900V).
Was wondering if there is any way to disable a specific app icon from the notification bar? Going into the app settings and turning off all notifications for the app isn't really helping, as I still need to be notified by vibration or LED flash when there's activity there. I just want to get the annoying icon out of the bar (the app is Kik). The app has options to turn off vibration and LED flash, but not to disable the icon.
Was hoping there was a way to block just the icon within Baja or to go into the app files and hack it. Anyone have any ideas/suggestions?
Thanks!

Location icon missing on status bar

Hi there...
Before to ask I must said that I have done a huge research and check every post mentioning status bar issues, I even look through the Home screens post and similar post where members where showing their home screens to check if I could see the location icon in any status bar.
I have a S7 edge with HydraRom 1.4, Xposed is installed and the Flat Style Bar Indicator mod is there too working wonderfully but, I can't get to manage to see the Location icon on the status bar when I activate it and I have try all.
I only use Location active when I go out in night time to do Astro Photography, together with some apps helps me to do the polar alignment of my tracking mounts. I want to see the icon on the status bar to be sure it is active without the need to unlock the phone and drag the status bar down to check, I am starting to be afraid it is not possible like the sync icon which is not showing neither but, that one is not bothering much.
Any help will be appreciated!!

Disable notifications

Hello All,
My question is that how can I disable the notification on the notification bar per app.
I just want to disable for example Viber icon and notification on the notification bar, but I want the LED notification only.
If I disable the notifications in app settings, the Viber want to enable it.
I just do not want the Viber icon on the notification bar, but the LED notification is "nice to have".
I checked the Play for this kind of apps without success.
I just surprised with this Android version, because on my old Galaxy S5 (android 6.0.1 note 7rom), this setting is available, when I long press the notification on the notification bar. I can simple disable it.
Or it is because of the Custom rom? I don't think so...
I'm using the below rom on my S5 deivce:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/development/rom-skiesrom-ux-v1-1-note7-t3519130
Click to collapse
For better understanding I just attached some picture about my problem.
When I turn off the notification on notification bar, the app will require to enable it. On my old phone as I mentioned, it was easily to disable the notification on statusbar and on the notification panel.
Is there any solution or app for do that? For better understanding: I want the LED notification, but without notification panel notification. just hide the icons...
The last picture contains the setting what I looking for... it is from my old Samsung Galaxy S5 (note 7 custom rom) marked with red.
I was curious about the same lol and was wondering if is there a way... If I am not mistaken, there should be such option in oreo...
