Well i agree with that accept maybe a functional LTE, but like i said i don't need it. Will probably wait to be the second tester
Anything is possible, but by time a Dev has taken the time to port it over it would be more trouble for them then its worth.

but i can install developer preview for nexus 7 wi-fi on nexus 7 LTE?
No, the developer preview does a device name check before it will install. If you tried it would give you an error about wrong device.

4.2 in nexus 10 is only 2 days away so I believe 4.2 for Nexus 7 should be floating around some where...:fingers-crossed:
No. The Nexus 7 will not be getting the 4.2 update.

Not possible. 4.2 and higher is/will be just completely incompatible with the nexus 7, no matter what. Google decided they didnt like the nexus 7 anymore

Here you have the Nexus 7 with Android 4.2:
http://www.google.com/nexus/7/index.html
So it will be in dev forum in 2 days for sure....
Where are you getting this information or are you just making it up? The 7 will be first in line to get 4.2.

It has been proven, "facetious" and "satire" don't work on public forums.
Forums only activate the lowest 10 percent of available brain cells.
Only thing lower would be Yahoo news report reader comments.

The Question is Do you need Root Today.\?
You do not have to ask permission to root or not..With this being a nexus and knowing you made backups(well even if you did not) you can very easily go back to Stock or near stock.
I think google is going to skip the 42 update . They are may be afraid someone will have a heart attack caused by over excitment for the push of the file.. They will delay it to a less enthusiastic time...
I can't help but think that we can somehow get this:
http://www.anandtech.com/show/6499/...ix-slimport-microusb-to-hdmi-and-vga-adapters
to work with our Nexus 7....
Anyone try this or have any idea what we will have to do to make it work?
It's a no go I'm afraid. Nexus 7 simply doesn't have the hardware in order to make it work, been discussed on here a few times.

Have you tried it? I don't have a clue what hardware you are talking about, the operating system handles secondary displays, not the hardware. The Nexus 7 has OTG support which makes me think this could very well work.

Okay, I see that it does not work, but no one has really confirmed that there is no way of doing it. Hopefully someone can figure out a way to get video out on the Nexus 7, but right now it seems like it's not gonna work.

Can anyone verify anything about this? Nothing in the US so far but I assume that's because if it's really legit they want to test on a smaller market before upsetting more users if something goes wrong.

reported is a strong word. they are just reposting the same information over and over. nothing new. even if it is a test build it could have useful information and we need someone to do a system dump or something.
I'd love to get my hands on that .44 baseband

Yeah sorry about that. I couldn't perform a search to see if threads containing 4.2.2 existed. Doesn't seem to be an option anywhere for me to kill the thread either.

One of the links in one of the other threads on this that I read reported that 1000 test units were built in a factory in Brazil with 4.2.2 as they will soon be making the Nexus 4's there. They only other reported device was 1 in Malaysia and it was suspected to be a prototype as it was a 16GB model and only 8 GB models were sold there.

'port s4 to our nexus 4' - you have a way of porting a whole phone?! Will it turn plastic and everything?
I'm sure people are already trying and posting threads like these really won't make development any faster.

Less flashing and rebooting.
MultiRom exists for quite a while in geenral:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1304656
Ubuntu corrupts my backups, so I can't easily switch between Ubuntu and android roms with out completely starting from scratch. Duel boot would solve this.
