A Question About Theming - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello guys,
I am trying to change my quick panel ( wifi, bluetooth etc.) icons but i have a dilemma. So far i decompiled twframework-res.apk and sytemUI.apk and found quick panel icons in both. (with slightly different names) Should i change both or just systemUI?
Thank you.

The icon is a shellres.96.dll file. The one you are searching for can be copied from the latest PhamQuang's builds.

How to change the statusbar buttons

hi guys,
i'm sorry that i had to post a new thread, but i didn't find the answer at my question, so.., is anyone who know how to change the buttons in statusbar(wifi, bt, 2g/3g, vibrate/general etc; look in the screenshoots below) to look like ics but i didn't find the right png and xmls.
the first screenshoot is what i have in this momment, and the second is what i want(the transparency i will do later)
(but without the 2 buttons encircled; but instead the 2 buttons i want the data(2g/3g) button )
So who can help me to do that?

ok thanks a lot, it works .
1. Now if you can, i want to tell me what to change to get that progress bar showed in the first screenshoot. In the second screenshoot is what i have in this momment.
2. And i want to change the buttons, for example in deskclock.apk these are the buttons(third screenshoot), and i want to change that buttons to this buttons(the 4th screenshoot).
LE: i found another problem: after i themed the contacts.apk and phone.apk everything looks and work good, but the number buttons they aren't visible(the 5th screenshoot), and i want to make it visible, to look like in your theme
LE2: sorry, but after i change the statusbar buttons(wifi, data, gps, etc) and after i put transparency i got this statusbar(6th screenshoot). Now, my question: is possible to make my statusbar to look like the ics statusbar(7th screenshoot), but instade of date i want the carrier.
thanks!

Looks like you are using G3 launcher. The theme you are modding is for the previous version of LGHome. Since some things have changed you would have to use a theme from the new Home to change those 'balls', but there are no good examples yet that customize all icons and widgets...

[Q] [Lollipop][5.0] How to change status bar icon alpha level?

I'm trying to modify the alpha level of status bar icons, but I can't seem to figure out what to change. In the past I've done this by setting status_bar_icon_drawing_alpha to 100% in SystemUI/res/values/dimens.xml, but that no longer seems to have an effect. I have seen references to tw_status_bar_icon_drawing_alpha, but that does not exist in the SystemUI.xml for Lollipop.
Does anyone know how I can successfully change the alpha level of status bar icons?

in kitkat it was a color with a hex-value alpha ... like #60000000 .... so the 2 digits after the "#" is the degree of trancparency in hex

You're talking about in colors.xml? If so I did a find and replace for everything #\d\d -> #ff so everything in colors.xml was completely opaque, but it still didn't chance the status bar icons :-\

i used this methond several times on kitkat and it's always worked,
but on lollipop nothings changes...
i don't undertand why ?
any suggestions ?
Thank for you attentions,

I don't remember off the top of my head if the status bar icons are regular png/pkm/wbp files or vector drawables, but either way it's easy to change them...If they're vectors, find the xml defining the vector and change the fillColor. If they're png/wbp/pkms, find the layout(s) calling them, and adjust color and alpha with android:tint and android:alpha, respectively....
FOUND !
Go to systemui\res\values\dimens.xml
find this line :
<item type="dimen" name="status_bar_icon_drawing_alpha">

This question is pretty old and most likely you've found a solution, but here it is anyway
