The last days my phone has been having trouble detecting my sim card. The things I've tried to do to solve the problem is to take out the sim card, factory reseting, reseting to the latest upgrade through LG's PC suite.
The thing that works is factory reseting and this works a while but then my phone stops detecting my sim after a while and I have to do it all over again. First I thought it was rooting or xposed modules that was the cause, but then I made a backup with LG's tool and after rebooting the problem occured again.
Anyone had the same issue?

I followed the original root method on my mytouch slide but lost it recently from the OTA update. I followed the New Root Method as of 8/13! (Even for latest OTA) to try and get rood again and the second time you enter ./exploid it worked but wouldn't give me root access in any of my apps. I rebooted and tried again without luck. Now my phone refuses to see that the sd card is inserted even though the card works fine in my laptop and I can't get usb debugging to work anymore. I just did a factory reset and cleared the cache partition through recovery but still no luck. Is there a way to fix this?
For some reason the sd card only worked in hboot so I tried flashing the stock .img and that still didn't fix the problem.
Just a suggestion. have you tried reformatting your sdcard? Not possitive it would work but its worth a shot. Strange things can happen. and well it happened to me back in the day with the g1.
Hello, my Nexus 4 cannot detect my SIM card anymore. It has worked for the past week but now all of a sudden it asked me to reboot after installing the SIM card.
After I did, it now refuses to read my SIM. I have tried multiple reboots but nothing works. ..
This happened on .48 radio, on 4.2.2 rasbeanjelly ROM. I have tried flashing back to my previous nandroid backup (running the same things but on PA 3.10 rom) but to no avail.
I have tried my SIM card on my friend's HTC One S and it is working fine so it is just my phone... can anyone help me please?
EDIT: I have managed to fixed it after restoring it to Google Factory images. Please delete/close the thread mods!
ok my phone is ef'ed up . i installed optimusg3 rom and i was getting force closes on a few things so i wiped and installed it again and the previous force closes were solved but new ones started happening. So i wiped again and reinstalled again but now my phone says that theres no sim card. i took the sim card out and tried it in my wifes phone and it works fine. I rebooted my g2 d800 with the card back in and it still says no sim card. i flashed back to stock with lgflash tools and it still says no sim card found?
Hello. I will go through what I have done thus far to fix this and describe the problem as best I can.
Upon booting up a fresh version of Turbo ROM, after being on TruPure for quite a long time, I booted up to find the SIM card and SD card no longer functional. The menu for cellular networks is greyed out and the sd card is not recognized in the phone booted up, or in recovery. Windows does recognize the SD card and functions as normal.
What I have tried:
Obvious things like reseating, removing, reinstalling. Reinstalling when in recovery, when booted up, everything you can think of.
I downloaded and flashed new modems through using internal storage.
I updated TWRP in case something was going on in recovery.
WIFI still works in terms of getting data
The only thing I haven't tried is backing up the contents of the SD card and reformatting due to being at work. But given this is both the SIM card and SD card, I do not believe this will solve the problem.
Has anyone had this issue or has any advice? I am obviously rooted and unlocked and sending this in for repair probably isn't a great option.
Thank you
Edit: Just wanted to add that this SIM issue first popped up after flashing the Pure Nexus ROM, then Turbo, then back to TruPure. All the same result. But it was fine before I flashed Pure Nexus.
try flash NON-HLOS.bin, hope this will help
So I ended up using the back-to-stock tool and went the nuclear option. This allowed the SIM card and SD card to be recognized. If anyone else seems to have this issue, using that method will get you back up and running at least.
Hey team! I replaced my screen from a local vendor:crying:. my phone keeps on Restarting itself. After many Reboots it finally booted up. but whenever i pop in my sim card and turn on mobile data it keeps on rebooting. and whenever i go into security settings for setting fp this issue occurs again n again. even fp is not working
*Tried factory Reset
*wiped cache
*Tried custom Roms
The time i gave him phone was rooted. so i thought might be Root issue. so i flashed stock rom with build no. NPJ25.9-14. and Relocked the boot-loader. But the problem was not solved so i tried flashing customs Roms. but the problem wont solved!!
After many Reboots it works perfect till the time i switch on my mobile data and setup my fp.
Idk what is the problem but it is not a software issue. because i even tried flashing marshmallow. but same results
Help!!!!
Seems like your device is done. There might be some motherboard issue I guess. Visit authorised service center only.

r.i.p phone.
imo you should've repaired it yourself. Replacement LCDs are only $40, and repairing the phone isn't hard at all.
Sounds like your repair vendor ****ed up your motherboard.
