Is there any rooted stock rom which only can be flash with odin not in recovery or any costum rom with root acces and recovery (in power menu) ??
My volume up button broken so recovery mode is imposibble to reached. That's way i search any rooted stock rom flash with odin way only.
Thankss
If you know some one who had a phone like yours you can root it then make backup and then turn it into an Odin flashable package
Good Luck With That
How to make that backup to flashable package odin. That file must be .tar or .md5

Well you can flash a custom kernel after flashing stock ROM via ODIN.To flash a kernel of your choice, just download the kernel ZIP and extract boot.img from it.After that compress that boot.img to 'boot.img.tar' and flash it via ODIN.For rooting, there are some methods out there by which you can root your phone via PC.
Or Try This

Very helpful... But, actually my problem is in volume button (up and down) so recovery and download mode is hard to reached.
I think Odin is the only way, so i search any methods to root without recovery but not work (tried superoneclick).
The point is adding recovery mode in power menu needed root privileges so why i make this thread, and yeah if someone give me a method to flash rooted stock rom with Odin it's better, Isn't it ??
Thanks

you still wont be able to flash it via odin though with a faulty vol up button because although you can put the phone into download mode with a usb jig without button presses you need to push vol up to start the connection to pc - so if your vol up button doesnt work you will not be able to do this
best go get it repaired

Not broken, but just like volume down keep pressed infinitely. That was told hard but it can be to reach download mode and impossible for recovery mode, although my volume up was fine when booted to the rom and still dont get it why volume up can be 'read' when booting.
By the way i found this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2786395
My problem temporary solved with that tool. Still learn guide workaround with Odin flashable packages.
Thanks
edit: For now i installing rom manager for get into recovery and such easier, this tool need root privilege that's why i make this thread.
Thanks everyone

Hi i am new to the android as i just got my first android phone the s4. i have done resaerch and flashed my phone with this rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2308663
The flashing of the rom went smooth and everything works exept wifi.. so i want to revert to my stock rom i backed up to get wifi back but i cannot boot in to recovery twrp or cwrm. when i press boot into recovery via goomanger or rom manager it reboots says it is entering recovery but then reboots before it goes into recovery mode and boots into the os. i have tried uninstalling/ reinstalling twrp and cwrm but still nothing. i am desperite to get my wifi back any insight would be great! thanks
Are you familiar with adb commands? In your OS with USB debugging enabled you can issue the command "adb reboot recovery" from the command line and it'll get you there.
That is, if you're familiar with adb commands. Otherwise there is a key combination that will get you there. I'm too new to samsung to remember it but it involves the home button, power and volume key up or down. Search the forum I'm sure it'll be here somewhere
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk 2
Use the key combo:
Cycle the battery
Hold Vol-Up and Home, then Power
Release Power when it vibrates continuing to hold Vol-Up and Home
If the recovery is truly gone, use Goo Manager to restore TWRP

Thanks for the help but i not to sure about the adb commands and no matter what way i try to reboot into recovery it just restarts into the os after it goes to the samsung screen and says recovery booting in the top left
i have tried that and it says booting reocvery... then restarts it self and reboots into the os i have both twrp and cwm installed. who ever knew trying to restore to stock firmware could be so complicated lol not sure what is going on with my phone. everything works with the rom i installed exept wifi.

Re-download the zip file and check the md5. It could have been a bad download. It happens more than you would think. Then try Odin again.
Hi, I flashed this monday the leak of Lollipop for Samsung Galaxy S4 (9500) and after I followed all the steps one by one I'm the only one in earth that isn't able to start the phone in the recovery mode. For this reason I can't flash gapps. I am not able to downgrade even because for the KNOX.
Someone has the same problem? Can anyone figured out how to enter in recovery mode?
P.D: I have attempted to do it with the buttons (vol down + pow + home) and with adb and the usb connected to the phone. Anyone was the solution.

after flashing Rom with Odin you have to flash openrecovery-twrp-2.8.4.0-klte.tar
Installing Recovery and rooting steps :
1- download twrp from here
2- go to flash mode
3- run Odin load file as AP then click start
4- go to recovery by powering off your device and hold volume up + home + power button
5- when you want to reboot to system Twrp will ask you to install SuperSU (rooting your device)
6- swipe to confirm
More info here

I did all of this, still can't to initiate in recovery mode.
i had the same problem, try downloading philz (philz_touch_6.48.4-i9500) or twrp recovery (openrecovery-twrp-2.8.4.0-i9500) and install via odin (AP box)
I didn't try the above i just installed the rom again, doing this:
- only the AP file
- uncheck "auto reboot"
- After the process finishes dont reboot the phone to tw, just go to the recovery mode and the wipe cache/data
- Install philz or twrp via odin

So, flash the ROM again with nothing more than the AP box fullfiled and then, when it finishes hold (vol up + power + home). Wipe cache, restart and flash custom recovery.
Am I right?

It can not, because in the first flash has deleted the modem, bootloader, csc and others, so if flashing only AP will not operate the phone, only the PDA.
And masicen these questions have to do in the same thread firmware also behold the solution.
Flashes the firmware again, to start turn it off and go into Recovery by: Volume Up + Home + Power in this order and holding down until you see the Samsung logo there S4 loose and enter the stock recovery, do wipes and restart it, then download Philz Touch in its latest version and flash it with Odin and restart turn it off and try to enter the recovery now.-

A few months ago I rooted my N900w8, installed custom recovery (cwm), and flashed Android L. Today I tried to update the recovery, planning on updating the ROM as well. But now no custom recovery works at all, even the one I had running before. When trying to boot into recovery it says booting recovery... like it should, and then the screen just goes blank, then the phone restarts. Sometimes getting stuck in a bootloop trying to boot to recovery, but usually just regularly booting and boots normally to Android L. So now I am unable to update my ROM because not a single custom recovery has worked and therefore I cant flash the .img files. Please Help!

I had the same issue except when I try to load recovery it would "forward" itself to download mode.
This may work for you, try re-flashing the latest CWM update with Odin. Place your phone in download mode by powering it off and holding Volume Down + Home + Power. Press volume up to proceed.
1. Download and extract
2. Run Odin as Administrator (Download if you don't have already)
3. Select CMW file from your download folder and place it in the "AP" section.
4. Start
When finished, Reboot holding Volume UP + Menu + Power Button. Vola!
Let me know if this works for you.

Yeah depending on which recovery I flash it'll either forward to download mode, get stuck in a boot loop trying to start recovery, or restart and load the ROM.
Unfortunately it still isn't working :/ I used the tool from this page (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2446269) to convert the .img to a flashable odin file. Used the proper Canadian touch recovery (also tried recovery without touch) from this page (https://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager) and no luck. Tried to enter recovery mode, it says entering recovery mode, goes black for a few seconds, vibrates then restarts the phone in regular boot mode :/ Any more idea's?
Do I need to be flashing a recovery that supports Android 5.0.2 for it to work? Im so puzzled.
YES!! Finally I was able to get a TWRP 2.8.5.0 working. Downloaded latest version from the main TWRP site and flashed using ODIN, did not use the converting tool above, downloaded the TWRP as a .tar flashable file from their site. Thanks for the help!
Do I need to close this thread or anything? This is my first time posting on xda

Hi bro. İ have same problem 8 months ago and i know this fix.
First. Sorry for my bad english.
You must wait the battery fully discharge. Because you cant make anything now.
When fully discharged phone. You plug charge and press wolume down+power+home. You can go to download mode this way. You must flash the original firmware via odin.
And if you want flash twrp again this step is required.
Go Settings page in odin and untick the auto reboot.
And manually go to recovery mode by download menu after install.

Ok, do the 3button combination as if you are booting into download mode. As soon as screen goes black, keep power and home key pressed down but move to volume up. You have to be quick before it boots to download. This will get you to recovery.

Hey everyone. First of all I'm sorry if I create this thread into a wrong category. I'm new in this forum, just here to ask for you guys's help.
My phone is stuck, or better saying it's at bootloop. I don't have a Sd Card, but an USB and a port to connect it with my Galaxy S8.
I don't think I will be able to flash a ROM with Odin so I decided to flash it with USB.
I'm currently downloading a 7z file.
My question is that does it matter if the ROM that I'll flash is a .ZIP file or 7z file ? Would it cause any more trouble because I really do not know if it can get any worse.
I hope somebody can help me clean this mess . All I did was remove the root from magisk and ta-daaa it got me a bootloop.
Thanks for helps from now.
Can you boot into Recovery Mode?
Power off your phone, than hold: Bixby + volume up + power on button until you see the recovery mode (up to 10 sec)

I can get into recovery mode, there's no problem in that. I downloaded a Rom but my phone didn't recognize the ROM since it was .7z file.
And I cannot flash with odin, I guess my phone's usb debug wasn't on before it got into loop.
Then why dont you just reflash/ reroot Magisk?
To flash files have be in Zip-format
