Question.
HDX 8.9 with 14.3.2.3.2. Rooted w/ Towelroot and have SuperSU installed. The HDXPosed module is installed and activated. Installed GPlay w/ KindleFree (wouldn't work with other methods and I'm sure I followed the instructions down to a T). Installed latest versions of Apex and Nova launcher. With Apex, I can only get the default wallpaper to show up; with Nova, can't use any wallpapers. Attempting to use any Live Wallpaper will lead to the "Live Wallpaper Picker has stopped" error. Attempting to use a wallpaper of my own by navigating to it via ES FIle Explorer leads to my selecting it successfully, but there's no change to the background.
Is this because I accidentally let the device update to 14.3.2.3.2? Seems like almost everyone else was able to change their wallpapers to their heart's content.
Edit: Saw a thread in the Android Dev forums, and one person recommended the "Image 2 Wallpaper" app. It worked beautifully. Still not sure why normal launchers can't change the wallpaper, though.

Ok, I give up. I have Googled for 3 days and read that **** manual cover to cover.
How in the world do you edit the Touchwiz settings? I remember the first day I went to the settings and changed the Show Windows from 5 to 7.
I for the LIFE of me cannot remember how in the WORLD I did that...
So, please, please do not flame me...first Samsung phone and clueless...

Hi I don't think you can change touchwiz setting short of rooting your phone and editing a few text files. The Epic comes with 7 homescreens and can't be changed from it unless a new launcher is installed. You can however disable the touchwiz launcher if you want the vanilla android look and you can also install an aditional launcher such as launcher pro, which is what I did. Installing a new launcher means you cannot use the touchwiz widgets such as the friend update widget or the taskmanager widget or any of the touchwiz clocks. However the comm manager in the notifications bar is still there as well as the task manager button on long home press.

So that option is not available on our phones? Or is this a "modded" Touchwiz...
We have a gimp version of touchwiz until Froyo comes. Many of us use Launcher Pro or ADW because Touchwiz mostly sucks and the widgets do the same.

I need help how to mod/remove this tab indicator in nova launcher, for me this a bit annoying when you wanted a clean theme
which part of the .xml or .png should i remove?

Why not just download apex launcher? The tabs don't have those points on them.
If I'm not mistaken, those tabs are there because you have something set where it has your system apps then downloaded apps and favourite apps separately. Try going to Nova settings and checking if there's an option like that somewhere and disabling it, that should hopefully get rid of the tabs. The alternative is to get a different launcher because Apex isn't really much different to Nova and as the person above said it doesn't have those.
There is no option to remove those tabs, Only difference in the pro version is there blue instead of grey.
Stick with Apex more customizable then Nova

Nova Launcher 2.3.3 decompile Squashed!!!!
Gents,
I have been working on this for literately hundreds of hours. I had to fix hundreds of xml's to make this work.
This is Nova Launcher 2.3.3 that you can now successfully decompile and compile.
Now we can all Mod and Theme Nova Launcher!!!

I don't know if it's just me but, the stock launcher is always more smooth and fast than other launcher like new trebuchet, Nova, Apex....

You can just install it like any app.
I grabbed it (Deodexed) and installed it on my N5 which is Unrooted. Worked just fine.
Also you can use Google Now Launcher too.

I already tryed to install it like any app, it doesn't work.
And i have some issue with GEL like i have in other launcher : soft buttons take 3-4 secondes to meet, lag during app drawer animations, etc...
And just un case, when i say stock laucher, i talk about this one :

Has anyone tried applying the pixel/pixel 2 live wallpapers on this device ? Everytime I try to apply the live wallpaper, the wallpaper picker app just keeps crashing. The live wallpapers also do not show up in Google wallpapers app. I have tried using the live wallpaper shortcut from playstore but it crashes. I just cannot find a way to apply the live wallpapers. Any help is appreciated

You might need to install this as system app which is not possible if you are not rooted though
Also rooting for applying live wallpapers is seems like a stretch , better wait for OTA.

Ya exactly. Don't wanna root just yet. Cause simply installing that app doesn't help. Thanks anyways.
I already installed google live wallpaper picker. But still, it doesn't work. Please asus, fix it on the next update ??????
Guys i installed google live wallpaper picker as system app with privilege and got live wallpaper running . Do this with magisk module app systemizer .
Hi guys try clearing system web view disable it and reboot. Then after the phone restart enable it again.
