[Q] Bricked build.prop - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshootin

I had edited my build.prop file in /system and now phone is stuck. I have stock nc1 with root. I can get to download mode or stock recovery. Is there any way to adb sideload a proper build.prop file? or is there a way to flash from sd card?

Do you have safestrap and did you make a backup before changing the build.prop? If so just restore it. If not Odin is going to be your friend.

If the ota fails every time, that means that your /system partition is too heavily modified for the ota to complete ( most likely the result of xposed). You need to disable xposed, flash the ota (4.4.4 zip) and then flash the SuperSU zip again for root, and then re-enable xposed.

Thank you for your answer
I have tried what you said, sadly it doesn't work
I'm even did full unroot from inside the supersu.. I think I just need to have a modified update.zip to pass this.

Because it still fails, the best thing I can suggest is to download the 4.4.3 factory image, extract the system.img and the flash that through fastboot. This will return your /system to stock and you can flash the ota without issue, although you will need to restore any /system mods.

(HELP) Accidentaly Deleted Hiddenmenu.apk

Hi, i accidentaly deleted my Hiddenmenu.apk trying to manually debloat it what can i do to get it back and getting it to work the way it supposed to be?.
Phone: Samsung Galaxy S4 SGH-i337
Rooted, Unlocked
KitKat 4.4.2 NC1(nb1 downgrade to mk2 updated nb1 keeproot and then nb1 keeproot to nc1)
Must have been a hell of an accident. You can either hope someone will up load a copy of the apk and install it. Or, Odin and start all over.
Next time use titanium backup and just freeze the apk's until you're sure they aren't needed.

You're other option is to download the stock firmware, extract it and then use ext4_unpacker to pull the apk out of the system image

Safestrap.
Ok, I'm sorry, I'm with you now. After flashing a rom you need to flash the nc1 module to get Wi-Fi working. See the third post of this, the first spoiler.http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=53758227 Download the nc1 module and flash that in safestrap
