I wouldbt use 2.7.1 because there is a bug right now if you let the screen time out it freezes.
You can go into settings and elset it to not screen off, but im waiting till dr87 makes his twrp with a thermal throttle before i update twrp again.
Youre on 2.7 right? I dont see the need in updating to 2.7.1

The only issue ive seen people have with 2.7 was making LARGE backups. Ive made 1.7 gig backups np, i guess thet were trying to make 3gig plus.
Why do you want to update? Just to be "updated"?

If you want to update to 2.7.1 use flashify or the twrp app from play store.
If you want to go to philz or cwm, you should be able just to flash them in recovery to change. If they are not patched for us to flash then use flashify
Twrp is normally never patched for us to flash. You can try flashing 2.7.1 if you want though. Worse case it just gices an error message

Check the holofied twrp page for 2.7.1 if you want to go to philz or cwm try flashing it in recovery first.

Using autorec should have no impact on flashify. Both are escentually dumbing down the process for you, (removing adb from the equation)

So i was in such a rush to update to 4.3 that I Odined back to stock MF9 and then flashed the 4.3 update zip. Im really happy i got my watch working but now i miss Titanium Backup and all the goodies....has there been any word on a root process for 4.3 (flag indictator or not)

CF Root
CF root works and everything went pretty straight forward. I had issues with root sticking but after i ran it again it was good. But, I learned the hard way KT kernel does not work with 4.3 TW at this time. I did the noob thing and forgot to back up before. But, I was able to go back to TriForce till a better flash is capable of the 4.3, due to my firmware is updated.

It's because of the install-recovery.sh file in system/etc. It restores the stock recovery, if you have a modified one, one each boot. Just delete that file and reinstall recovery.

Hi, I tried to flash twrp recovery with some help from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2449670 but it keeps saying fail.. I tried both options.
if rooted freegee is easier from app store, it gets proper automagically.
If trying to flash via cwm, get the recovery flashable zip from the thread and not the img. Doubt thats the case
Where did you get that awesome avatar btw?

"Keeps saying it failed" What failed, in what part? Also currently there's no way to unlock the bootloader, but use loki bypass instead, basically when you have recovery installed, you don't have to worry much about bootloader or loki.

I am aware of the guides the nice people have come up with but is there an easier way such as an application? I remember, before I flashed back firmware, it was ten times easier and required no adb or commands on my end. I also flashed it over CWM which I had at the time.
Thanks.
