I'm guessing you want unmodified build.props? Just want to be clear so people don't add ones they have modified to stop OTA updates from being applied.

Yes, un-modified build's but you can still post your prop if it's modded just state so. Also just to be clear, my ota blocker in the toolkit does not touch the build.prop.

[Kernel][KK4] Samurai Kernel 1.4.3 [CWM][init.d][EXT4]

Alright decided to clean up this first post since these are verified working.
~ topiratiko's ORAM+ inspired LMK settings (not exactly the same but similar)
~ Tweaked TCP settings from pikachu's modded Zach's tweaks.
~ Other tweaks from Boog's Kernel
~ Recovery from Boog's Kernel with custom background (at least until I can get a better machine to compile my own on unless someone else wants to take up the task)
~ Supports BOTH bootanimation.zip AND sanim.zip
~ Zipaligner script which zipaligns any non-zipaligned apks in system/app and data/app
To enable the various scripts:
On your internal sdcard is a folder called "Voodoo". Inside this folder, create a blank file accordingly and then reboot:
"enable-zipalign-system" to enable zipalign for /system/app
"enable-zipalign-data" to enable zipalign for /data/app
"enable-sqlite-optimize" to enable the modified sqlite optimize script from ThunderBolt by pikachu01.
I would like to note that all these scripts run while the kernel bootscreen is being displayed (AT&T World Phone by default) so don't be too alarmed if that screen lasts for a while. Especially if you're running all of the scripts and/or have a lot of apps.

To get root just download the Superuser.apk from the market.
If you lose root after flashing Samurai try clearing Superuser data.

Thanks goes to:
~boog for all his help with unpacking and repacking and for making the custom recovery as well as other miscellaneous help
~mtcarey also for his help with unpacking and repacking and as well as other miscellaneous help
~existz for helping with my research by answering questions and for TalonDEV
~pikachu01 for ThunderBolt and all the sharing of his research and findings. VERY helpful.
~DonaldTsang for pointing out the fixes that needed to be done to be able to boot with lagfix enabled
~TRusselo for pointing out that custom boot animations weren't working and creating the CWM flashable zips
~erad1 for the name suggestion
~Jsmokey for his Kernel tweaks and miscellaneous help
~Anyone else I may have forgotten.

Really? I might see if his kernel allows me to boot with ext4 or if it does the same as mine later this week.
dont run the "exec umount" in init.rc
give "fat.format" in /sbin execute premission
inside init_function.sh, use below to find the battery level(found in mtcarey ki1 kernel)
battery_level=`cat sys/devices/platform/i2c-gpio.6/i2c-6/6-0066/max8998-charger/power_supply/battery/capacity`
and your kernel is is working fine, great job man, you even fixed the robot sound problem~
Thank you, you are the best!
Kernel is work on my stock odexed KJ2. Thanks!
Confirmed to work on fasty rom KJ2 edition. Nice and smooth.
Quadrant score - 2179 (up from 1400-1500).
Antutu score - 2921 (up from 2800ish).
Working on my custom build too!
Just need voodoo sound now! Voodoo options in cwm.
and the older versions of cwm had install root option built in, that would be nice too.
And custom boot logo!
But great work!
Running smooth on custom KJ2. I flashed it right over the KI2 kernel w/o disabling lagfix and it worked fine btw.
sgs kernel flasher doesnt flash this, or it does nothing upon reboot.

Most of that requires source cep root which wouldn't fit...
Noticed KJ3 was just leaked. Guess I know what I'll be doing when I get home from work.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using XDA App
Just added a KJ3 based kernel. Let me know how it works out.
"Sorry for the noob question!
.tar goes into the PDA correct?"
Sure does. And so far so good with KJ3!
i noticed that kj2 didnt support bootanimation.zip or sanim.zip
was this intended? in the future to come?

It should... I'll have to look into it and see what I can figure out...
as soon as i flashed your kernel (SGS kernel flasher) i had the samsungloop.qmg boot instead of my custom zip.i duplicated the zip with both bootanimation. and sanim.zip names. neither worked with your kernel. was working 30 seconds before....
Alright think I got it fixed just need to test it a bit then apply it to both kernels and I'll have them fixed up.
Ok fixed the custom bootanimation for both KJ2 and KJ3 (KJ2 isn't tested but the fix should be the same).

As for Voodoo Sound seems I may have misinterpreted what I read about it requiring source. Will have to see what I can dig up about adding it.

Debloater for all xperia devices

Debloater for all Xperia Devices below KitKat, Remove Sony stock bloatware from your phone, to speed up performance download from the link below
http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=7987
@Ambychy buddy, it's not for all the Xperia for the following reasons:
1. In the updater-script you have added as target only /system/app/. Kit Kat 4.4.2 and 4.4.4 have the system/priv-app also that includes some bloat too
example in the Z1 latest Vodafone fw:
a) com.vodafone.vodafone360updates.apk
b) FBMusicLike.apk etc
2. It's not universal since some devices have other bloat too (some regions or carriers specific fw have this "issues" see examples a and b)
So my advice is to make a new debloat script for the devices that are running 4.4 and the list of the apps that is gonna delete
There are some errors too.
You must write it like this:
delete("/system/app/Backup-Restore.apk");
and not like this:
delete("/system/app/Backup-Restore.apk",
also you must add the delete(" before every line.

[Q] Deodexing problem

Hello, I'm an owner of XPERIA Z1, using the latest Customized Lollipop firmware (.242), struggling very much to deodex his device. I've tried 2 different methods, which both lead to problems:
1.) Using a flashable zip provided by venkat kamesh, in this thread: link. After flashing, I don't face any prominent problems, like FCs on system apps e.t.c. But whenever I'm trying to launch any app requiring OpenGL ES 2 , I get an error message/toast notification, about that, saying that my device is incompatible. And Google Play refuses to even show these apps in the search results, listing them as incompatible.
2.) Modifying the flashable zip to use my own /app, /priv-app, /framework, and even /vendor/apps fully deodexed folders, leading to a bootloop, and refusing to show more than 2 seconds of the bootanimation before rebooting. I thought that some package may be incompatible with my firmware, but this theory can't be proved yet.
*I've tried fixing permisions using both terminaland adb using this method: link. No result either.
Is there any other solution? Thank you!

Are you deodexing every odexed file? I normally only deodex those files whose smali I'm going to mod. There's not much point deodexing anything else..

Well yes, I just suppose that a fully odexed or deodexed system is more stable than a mix of those two.
Is there any red-line that I must not pass? Like a paricular .apk or .jar file, for example. Also on KitKat, we had to have fully deodexed system for some mods to work (like the 4K Mod by Chocolatetrain). This restriction doesn't exist on Lollipop, which utilises ARM?

No. You can, in theory, deodex as many or as few APK and JAR files as you like.
The whole point of deodexing is to make it easy to change smali files. It doesn't affect stability or performance, it's solely for modding. I normally deodex SystemUI.apk, framework.jar and android.policy.jar then leave the rest of the odexed files alone.
(Well, technically a deodexed ROM takes longer to boot if the Dalvik cache has been wiped but that's about it.)
The only reason I ask is that, if you only need to deodex a few files, there are various tools available for deodexing individual files instead of whole ROM's. I could mention that Tickle My Android can do it but that'd be a bit cheeky.
Oh, looking at that 4K mod you mentioned, it doesn't actually need the whole ROM to be deodexed. But there are so many files that are being replaced that do need to be deodexed that it's probably just simpler to say the entire ROM needs to be.

OK, thank you for the answer, I will try then deodexing just the essentials: SystemUI.apk, framework.jar, framework-res.apk and SemcGenericUxpRes.apk
Final question, as I see in your program's thread, Lollipop editing/deodexing is not supported yet, so do you recommend an automate tool for the deodexing process (like JoelDroidLollipopBatchDeodexe or any other), or the manual method?

Altered Miui 12 bootanimation

This is my new thread for Miui 12 Bootanimation based in official images, clean and simple.
How to install:
1-- If you are root :
a) Manually:
With some root app like Root explorer, copy this zip into main memory and copy & paste to system/media, and replace the original one.
Apply permissions like attached image .
Reboot.
b) Install as a magisk module from Magisk app adding it.
Download it from here:
Simple : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Ro0cj_DpyW668y39eUdYVD-8GDAoFGaK/view
(Thanks @ogutolopes)
Coloured official with logo:https://drive.google.com/file/d/1QIBPWWw-_V2-brebXrYjUYre0dzp4zP_/view?usp=sharing[/URL]
That's all.
2. If you are NOT root ( and for root users too), you can install like a theme in the Themes app, importing the file
"MIUI 12 bootanimation.mtz" attached.
Hope you like it.

Great method for read-only devices!
Fun fact: You can modify this module with a custom bootanimation,
Simply extract the files, replace the "Bootanimetion" folders zip with your desired bootanimation,
Compress to ".zip" and flash it with magisk!
Works great, thanks!
