[Q] How to Change 2.0.1.A.0.47 to 2.1.1.A.0.6?

Hello there!
I have a Xperia X8 e15a.
I want to change my firmware from 2.0.1.A.0.47 to 2.1.1.A.0.6 and since I can't make question on the development area, the only way I found to get some answers, is asking here.
So, I live in Brazil and I want to use the "[ROM] MiniCM-1.0.0-Beta2 port for x8" on my X8, but I need to change my firmware and baseband.
So, I found this topic, and I have some questions.
If I use the method in the post #4, will it work properly? Can I make a backup of my firmware with xrecovery, so anything goes wrong I can restore my smartphone?
And I found these other topics http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=825228 and http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=825228.
Wich code is not operator locked for Brazil?, there's the "REM 33 "E15a Claro BR" that's not my operator, and "REM 112 "E15a Customized BR", should I use the last one?
Can please someone explain me the steps I should make, or point me to a n00b guide to do it properly?

The method of post #4 vorks good.
You can't take backup of firmware,but system and data.You can't restore data and system from a old firmware to a new one.Maby only data folder restore would work.I use titanium backup to backup all aps just in case.
In minibeta there is no customization code,and i'm not sure how things with operator works there. haven't heard anyone having problems, so just try it.
PS i'm not an expert in android,but i hope i helped some...

Download firmware from my Mediafire folder. (Customized RU). Flash it with FlashTool. Then download X8a baseband 15, from my Mediafire folder too, and flash it.

I have a question: When I download 2.1.1.A.0.6 from your signature and put the 7z or the extracted files in firmwares folder I can't see them in "Flash" screen... (I have Flashtool v029

You have to put *.ftf file in "firmwares" folder of FlashTool.
Yes, it will work properly, no bugs, etc.

Open FlashTool -> Advanced -> Bundle creation. Select folder with extracted 7z archive and add all files to the bundle (click right arrow for every file from left side of window to switch it to the right side list). Then flash.

Dude, I used the firmware update to change it, now my smartphone is X8i and not x8a and the 3G, Edge and HSPDA doesn't work.
If I put the baseband 015a into it, i'll the services work properly?

That's strange... try flashing X8a 06 baseband first, maybe it works...

Did you have bootloop issues or did you include the bootloop fix in PRFcreator while building this ROM?
Could you please take a look at the PDFcreator screenshot in the first message of this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z2-tablet/general/prerooted-zip-vmo-ru-ua-kz-t3393112) and tell me if you used the same settings?
What about sharing your ROM with the other users?

ok , SHORT GUIDE
You need:
- Rom SGP521_23.5.A.1.291_1281-8844_R9D.ftf , you can download it using Xperifirm, included in Flashtool
- RecRootV4_combined.zip
- Z2-6.0.1_575_bootloop_fix.zip (yes it's working)
- SuperSU-v2.71.zip or other version It's not so important
- Tool: PRF Creator 1.3
Procedure:
In PRF Creator check all on the right side of the panel, in Extra File field add the bootloop fix, in Recovery field add Recroot v4, in other fields add supersu and tft files, then press Create.
When done you ' ll find new prerooted rom in the same place of the program PRF C reator, copy in the memory of your devices , reboot in TWRP and flash rom, you will have new rom with TWRP 3.0.2.
To enter in recovery, at the boot, when green light turn, press volume down button. sorry i'm not a good teacher

Thank you, I already knew the recipe but a review is always useful.
My only doubt was about the bootloop fix, I wondered if it's still needed because when I released the previous ROM some user complained about auto brightness not working. I suppose the bootloop fix could be the culprit since it's not built for our device.

SGP512 can be flashed on SGP511? Or do i have to use the SGP521 for SGP511?

Any chance for a prerooted zip?

[GUIDE] Flashing XA Ultra with Latest Flashtool (Where FSC is need)

The Lateste flashtool requires the right fsc script in order to flash something. This script is not available by default in Flashtool and let us use the 0.9.18.6 version buggy as f**k. I was getting "Error while processing whatever.sin" over and over.
Flashing with the 0.23 results in "FSC script is mandatory, Aborting flash". I don't know if this works with every firmware and every model of XA Ultra and I'm not responsive if something bad happens to your device. I'm just saying that I wanted to downgrade my .109 to .111 (service unit bla bla bla in XperiFirm) and what was getting tons of errors.
This is what I did in order to simulate a FSC script:

Now rename this FSC script following your model and your firmware you want to flash.
Now open the latest flashtool and try to flash normally the firmware you want, when it asks if you want to use the FSC script, choose yes then wait for it to finish.
I do not guarantee it'll work or whatever, I'm just saying it worked to recover a Soft Bricked F3212 to .111 and got it rooted with xposed, with fully working front camera !

Hi am on F3211 xperia ultra and after flashing recoveery and pssible a wrong bootloader I found myself wana restore to stock firmware. am currently the same error you got. please sharre with me if u find a pplace around it.

Searched for a solution but didn't find anything on it, so I simply gave up. But I'll sure get back to you if I find anything.

Found that my F31XX Folder did´t have a Default FSC, instead have a "33.2.fsc".
Thinks this will work?

I used the 33.2 I think, I just replaced the version in the name by mine this evening I could attach the fsc file to the thread

you can use the SUPERUSER MOD from here and pick the common APKs from the deodexed ZIP file and make your own

These values are normal? Any possible damage for torch, battery etc.? Where did you find reference max values?

Hi sir, I can't seem to flash the ftf file. I successfully installed three driver for the flash tool. Then when I boot in flashmode and selected flashmode on flashtool , the firmware is detected but the content is empty? The section on the firmware has the word xperia z5, the the section on the right which is the firmware content shows nth.The flash button is greyed out. I check the file size is 2.6+GB and I downloaded it without interruption.

STEP:2 Edit this line on Build prop.
Before:

Just a lil advice needed from u
I got z3+ and i have rooted that and also installed twrp nd a rom too after some day my device shows no service but sim was inserted tried several methods including flashing stock rom
After that i gave that to service centre they said need to replace motherboard of it and got replaced
And now i am worried about to unlock bootloader bcs it screwed my device i dont know is that rom specific or hardware one....
So is there any way or app that can do the rooting and recovery and install this awsm mod

did u mean android os, if so i use 7.1.1 and i am having the same issue,

Try 7.1.1 customized US VERSION

I am on amdroid 6.0.. same problem here no volte symbol

its not working for me sir....rather i lost my both sim icons(indicators)...no signal at all.m on xperia z3+ dual E6533 stock fw : nougat 7.1.1 malaysia fw

U already tryed to flash any zip file Volte it well not work newly flash the Rom and try it follow each STEP correctly...

Whats Your status now, u are missed any steps, it shows ims not registered

I heard that Customised US version is having so much bugs.
That's why am not flashing 7.1.1 US customized.
Any Idea about India customized 7.1.1?
