I remember using this app on my nexus 10 a few months ago, back when I still owned it. It was also on kitkat 4.4.2 and it had no problems. But now when I try to open it out says it's not compatible with 4.4.2.
Anyone else experience the same problem? Or maybe someone knows of a work around for this issue?
help!

ok guys I have the solution,
the thing is that we will do by ourselves, what the app do.
1. connect the tablet to the pc (must be on "developer options" "USB debugging")
2. go to "internal storage/Android/Data/com.ea.games.r3.row/.depot/eds
3. copy all the files named "Android****" and backup to another folder
4.delete the files on storage/Android/Data/com.ea.games.r3.row/.depot/eds "Android****" than we recently copied and replace all with the copy of the file which we want to in relation to the visual config, each one must have the name of each config
5. enjoy
I left you the link on youtube with the tutorial.

I didnt understand a thing from 4
I meant to say that, we'll leave just one archive on the directory "eds", the one with the config which we decide, but we extract x number of the archive with another config, and this archives must be there too, soo we use one archive with differents names.

Hello All,
I found this on another board for my friend who is a BIG NASCAR fan and got it to work on her Mogul by following the included instructions. I have tested and it is working. The final test will be during this weekends race. Keep in mind that it's a Java App and you will need Java installed. The stylis isn't used, you have to use the arrow keys to control.
Enjoy, I will try to support it any way I can, but no promises.

i dont have a windows folder on my mogul?
never mind, I found it...it was hidden
confirmed, this is working on my mogul also!!!! awesome I have been waiting for this!
Can someone make a cab file for this application
I installed this on mt VZW xv6800 and it works great. I probably cant get the subscription stuff being on VZW but i will test the rest of it on race day.

I don't think this is possible because of the procedure to get it working. A cab file cannot determine what the file name of the file created is, (At least as far as I know).
i must have done something wrong. I followed the instructions correctly I thought.
Using the second set of files that Brett posted I was able to get it to work and I'm not even a sprint customer. Here is what I did:
1. Copied the following files from Brett's zip file into the \Windows\Appdb\ directory. s40__d0.db,s40__d1.db,s40__d2.db,s40_suite.jar,s40 _suite.utf.
Click to collapse
I had no appdb directory, so I created one, then copied all 5 files into it. I didnt however copy the bin directory over, since it didnt mention that....
I also tried copying with the folder and running things from inside the folder....
Excluding the above files make a note of the highest set of numbered files that starts with an s.
Click to collapse
I had no files in there.....
2. Using my phones file explorer I browsed to \windows\appdb and opened s40_suite.jar.
3. I went through the normal install steps and received the same error that everyone did.
4. Closed java.
Click to collapse
that worked fine, java ran, but it never got to an error. Just a white screen with exit and pause on the soft keys.
5. On your phone browse to the \windows\appdb\ folder.
6. There should be 2 new .jar and .utf files that that start with 's' and are one number higher then the number you made a note of earlier.
Click to collapse
there were a bunch of s0 fies
7. On you PC rename all 5 files by replacing the 40 in each file's name with the number of the new file that was created.
Click to collapse
went back to the original files from the zip file and renamed them all to s0
8. Copy all 5 files to \windows\appdb
Click to collapse
copied everything back over and overwrote whatever files it asked to
9. Open java and launch app.
Click to collapse
Went back to Resco and ran the s0 jar file that I had just copied back over.
No good. I get a 955 error

that is simple. you have root explorer? do you have the copy of bootanimation.zip of screaming droid on your sd card?
simply open bootanimation.zip location using root explorer then copy that file to system/customize/resource folder. restart android and mwallah, you got a new boot animation! cheers!
no go again
that didnt work either..

are you sure you were able to replace the original file? You can confirm the replacement by comparing the file size from your sd card and the file size from your resource folder. Also, better check that you don't have the same file located on Android/root/system/customize/resource
This is what I observed with some builds also, you need to do the copy process 2-3 times before file will be copied. Also, make sure system folder is R/w.

I'm running EB01 2.6 sc. Have been trying to add shut down animation but my phone won't let me modify system folder. I've flashed back to stock and used a different method for root access and tried several different file managers. Whenever I try to make a change, it tells me the folder was created successfully or the move was successful but no changes actually happen. Does anyone have any ideas?
From my Super Frankencleaned Fascinate via XDA App
bump from 2nd page..
Hmm, There is a shutdown.apk in system/app that has appeared within the last 4 versions of super clean. I bet that has something to do with your shutdown ani's not being recognized or appearing.
good day.
Ran into the same problem. I had to use Super Manager. Just make sure u go into the settings for super manager and enable root function

It worked!!! Thanks a ton.......such a weird problem...why would only that particular file manager work???
Then again........maybe it's not entirely fixed. I'm now allowed to add system folders. I wasn't before. But I don't see a "move" option anywhere, to move shutdown.ogg (or whatever I'm trying to move) I only see Copy and Cut. When I choose one of those, it says "Prepare to Copy" (or Cut), but never actually does so.
Just rename the original to shutdown.ogg.old or oldshutdown.ogg . I remember that it says preparing to copy and it actually will copy the file/folder so all you have to do is navigate to the right folder and hit the clipboard icon to paste.

Guys,
Last night I attempted to create a .nomedia file for a folder that has Application generated pics that I want to hide from the Gallery App.
No problem in accepting the creation of the file but that's where it ends.... the .nomedia file does not display in any of my file management Apps inc My Files.
Later I then tried to copy from my Galaxy SII to the Galaxy Note over bluetooth a file named .nomedia
This time the Note refused to accept the .nomedia file
So... what is going on here?
It works fine on the SII but not on the Note!
Maybe it does not show hidden files. In linux any file that starts with a dot it's hidden.
You can try also in Terminal Emulator:
$cd /sdcard/desired_folder
$touch .nomedia
$ls -a #optional to check that the file is indeed created

Without checking, I would agree it does not show hidden files..
I suppose the question though is WHY??? It shows them on the Galaxy SII so I would have assumed it should be the same on the Note.
If this is the case, (without rooting) I now need to get the system to show hidden files.
EDITED:
Just tried using Terminal Emulator and it says "Permission Denied".
I can see hidden files using the "My files" app. Just need to enable "show hidden files" in settings.

I've also just tried again to create a file titled .NOMEDIA and it says "Operation Failed. Please use a different name"

I've just created a .nomedia file.
It's working great on my SGS I9000.
I'm going to buy a Galaxy Note this afternoon, I'll test it and post my impressions.

That's weird. I just created a .nomedia file and it showed up fine. Let's use the Note's s-pen thingy to show what I mean .
How are you creating the .nomedia file? I just used
Code:
echo "" >.nomedia
.

I'll give it a go... purely to see what happens.
I don't like using additional Apps to do this ~ hence why I normally just use a .media file instead.
It will however allow me to hide the files until I sort this issue out.
EDITED: I've just come across 'Hide It Pro' which also does this and has excellent comments.

I'm going to Factory Reset it later tonight and try again.

Yes, I can see it is working for you.... As mentioned above, I'll try a Factory Reset later tonight and try again.
Well, I've done a Factory Reset and I don't know what was causing the issue but everything is now just fine.
Obviously an App had interfered with how the OS was handling hidden files.
Thankfully it happened in less than a week of running the Note.
Now I need to rebuild my App list slowly and see if any one of them recreates the problem... However, thinking about it I didn't enable show hidden files until after a few days of using the Note and I never checked after doing so that it did infact enable them. As such the problem App may have stopped hidden files from being deactivated.
I tried everything and the only thing that worked for me was to rename the folder by adding a . In front of it. So rename the folder from FolderName to .FolderName and it'll stop searching the conté. Ts in that folder
All of a sudden, I can't copy files to Nexus 7. Windows 7 64 says device has either stopped responding or is disconnected....which tells me nothing. I see others have posted this topic for this tablet but there are no replies. Tablet is rooted, running LiquidSmooth Beta 2 and seems fine. Same USB cable and I can see internal folder and files from Windows, but cannot perform normal file transfers. Where do I start looking for issue?

MTP or whatever its called sucks. But that usually either means that your device doesn't support that file format, the files are too big, or you actually disconnected your device. Try a different USB port, and give us a bit more info on what you are trying to copy.

Trying to copy a 7MB zip file. I looked at settings -- MTP is checked and there's 12.79GB available out of 13.24GB. Weirdly, I thought I'd try a file that was completely different, so I just copied a text file (2K) and it went fine. Now what's that about?
I usually use WinRAR to create zip files, but some on xda recommend 7-zip (changing file extension to zip) for stuff like boot animation files. Is that the problem??
I had the same thing happen... I tried an 11mb zip file, no luck. Text file or image worked fine... I'm guessing I'll just have to use something like AirDroid to transfer any file. This is disappointing that Google has done this. My older Android phones, I could copy any file I please.

Well, one thing I finally discovered is that zip renamed from 7z may be an issue...the system probably checks the file header (I assume) against extension to see if there's a match. Possibly to catch exe files with zip extensions that may be viruses.
solution
Just put the files you want to copy inside a folder, then copy the folder. works for me on Nexus 4

Just had the same problem. This worked! So the problem looks to be that the device can't handle certain files by themselves.
