Issue 3G / 4G

Hi everyone,
I have a problem with my S4 i9505.
When I try to connect my phone on 3G or 4G, I have no data connection, I can't make call and nobody can call me.
In About phone > Status my network type is Unknow:0
If I force 2G only, no problem and earlier 3G/4G works well.
I try to flash stock firmware with Odin (HOME, Kernel, Recovery, Modem) but without success
My operator is Proximus (Belgium) and I'm in stock MGA.
Anybody can help me please ?

Did u try factory Reset after flashing stock firmware from your device

Yes with stock recovery, TWRP and Philz

I got no problems here got 4g in most of antwerp i also got proximus genneration connect and i use omega v9.1 rom and faux 009u kernel

Can't understand why it doesn't work now...
2G / 3G / 4G depend of kernel or other ? Is it possible that somewhere there is a script (or other file like init) that cause this problem ?

Have you lost Imei/ issues with efs folder? These problems with network are common when the efs data is corrupted...
I don't had problems with Imei, but I have the same problems with the network...

How to fix not registered on network

Hello XDA family here is a solution to fix your corrupted IMEI
first of all you must only use this for the devices below
Samsung galaxy S3 GT-I9300 model ONLY.
Samsung galaxy Note 2 GT-N7100 model ONLY.
Samsung galaxy S4 GT-I9500 model ONLY.
Samsung galaxy S4 GT-I9505 model ONLY.
DO NOT USE IT FOR ANY OTHER DEVICE!
Before starting:
Backup your important data first just in case of this process corrupt your data.
Download and install Samsung mobile driver (Skip this if you already have Samsung Kies) (Link below)
Download MODEM.tar.md5 file then unzip it only one time (Link below)
Download Odin3 then unzip it (Link below) Disable the antivirus software, Close Samsung Kies and disconnect any device connected to USB
ports on your computer.
Flashing instructions :
1- Run "Odin3" as administrator, Click on PDA button and navigate to Modem.tar.md5 file that you extracted.
2 - Shut down your device and make sure your device is completely off
3 - Put your device into download mode by pressing and holding (Volume Down + Home + Power) buttons
4 - Press Volume up to continue
5 - Connect the device to your computer by USB cable and wait until you get a sign in Odin (ID:COM section) and "Added" in message box.
6 - Make sure re-partition is NOT SELECTED!
7- Click Start and wait a few seconds until you see "Added!".
P.S:
In some cases this won't fix the wrong IMEI or "not registered on network" message
If your device stuck in boot loop after downgrading, factory reset your device from recovery mode (Vol up+Home+Power)

Bro .as you mentioned It's DMG1 Modem for N7100 & if I am not wrong it's for JB 4.1.2 only.
Wondering,if it's working on 4.3/4.4.2 Stock firmwares.

I thought I had stuffed my note 2, do not know what went wrong , I changed my rom a few times just for fun and then one time, would not register to network, looked for 2 days, tried all sorts of stuff I saw on internet then found this, thanks, thanks, thanks and thanks. I really like my note 2 as I am older and need the screen space to see. :good:

got the same problem .. will it work for note 2 for the UAE stock ? .. and if this didn't work .. do you have any other solutions .. got this problem 2 days ago but i had this phone for 9 months and this prob appeared .. did'nt apply any update to be exact

flashed it but didn't work at all ... isn't ther any solution .. i just got sick of this problem .. tried every thing but no work

I'm facing the same problem with my Note 2 GT N7105 (not registered on network) but the IMEI seems fine.Is it worth a try and where can i get the Modem.tar.md5 file i can use for the N7105. Only calling/texting is giving me issues but data is working just fine.
And is there an alternative solution ?

I was trying a different rom , and after i flashed it i noticed i was not getting a data signal, also i have signal for calls but when i try to call it says not registered on network. The imei is coming up normal , i tried flashing stock through odin and that didnt do the trick. If anyone can help it would be much appreciated, i have not had a phone for 2 days . thanks

I'm having a big issue with my galaxy S4 I9505 with stock 4.4.2 the thing is when i turn mobile data i only get edge, and when i try to switch to 3g only mode i get emergency calls only, i'm freaking out because this happened just like 2 days ago, before everything was working just fine, the coverage is perfect here, i tried to factory reset i reflashed stock, i even tried cyanogenmod, still no luck .. i'd appreciate if u help me out with this.

And when youre on the wcdma/gsm mode?
Only wcdma and only gsm at times causes a pain in the buttcrack.
Same with my voda here...

even in auto mode, i tried everything i could try and i cant seem to find a solution for this, my guess is it's either a hardware problem but i dont know how could that happen.

Fiest thing: you wrote CDMA module, what variant is?
The GT-I9505 has a LTE/WCDMA module, not CDMA.
Have you touched something with secret menu codes? If you don't know what they are, the answer is no
What carrier do you have?
Have you roaming enabled?
You data plan reduces connection after a total GBs used at maximum speed?
Try to flash latest available modem fw along with latest bootloader, you can find them here

First you are right I'm talking about the LTE/WCDMA module, and yes i messed up a little bit the with the secret menu codes but only after i got the issue, not before that.
I'm from morocco so the carrier is a moroccan one called inwi, the carrier does not reduce the speed, when u consume the GBs given the service is suspended.
the issue appeared when i was using wanam lite 3.1 i'm using wifi at home all the time so i couldnt notice until i went out and used data, i noticed that i only have edge in locations that used to give me H+, so when i tried to force wcdma by choosing wcdma only i got emergency calls only.
i messed around before with a couple of bootloaders and modems, I still cannot figure it out

I had the same problem on Wanam. What solved it for me:
Use Shortcut Master (lite) to go to this menu: 4636
Then go to phone information and change the bandwith to something else. Then set it back to LTE/WCDMA or whatever works for you. Strange but it worked for me.

Get the network cable changed or change it yourself.
The only easy "non software" related solution.
Or maybe if it is in the software, tried flashing the stock rom or any ither custom rom after a full wipe.
Mine was with the stock rom but ozcan rom + data wipe has solved it..
Not i get H+ in only wcdma amd E/H+ in auto mode. (depending on the network area)

Note 3 SM-n900 no LTE

I have had my Note 3 SM-N900 for a while and have just changed my sim for a 4G version, but I have no option for LTE option in Network Mode, so I am on H or H+
The phone was running Android version 4.1, so I decided to upgrade to the lollipop edition from here:

Having looked around the net for quite a few hours, I noticed a file needs changing, which is: persist.radio.lteon.xml
With the help from the Xda forums I managed to root my device via the cf auto guide, I have checked the root and it is currently working, I have tried to find the file in:
Data/Properties/persist.radio.lteon.xml
The only file in there is persist.radio.lteon with out the .xml, I have opened the file and the text in there says true
When I go back into the Network modes, only these are shown:
WCDMA/GSM
WCDMA
GSM
Can anyone please help on this matter as I am not sure what else I can try, many thanks to who all helps.
Do I need to reflash to another version?

Are u kidding? N900 is a 3G device. Not a 4G device. U won't get any 4G forever.

I apologise, I was told this phone was 4G when purchased last year.

SM N900 was not able to get 4G connection bro. Even if using custom rom that have 4G option. The hardware was not supported.
Now I'm using aurora custom rom that have the 4G option, but I believe that my device won't be able to use 4G connection

I use Aurora rev 3. A few bugs have been fixed by the op. Xposed was pre install in that rom. You should try it

Device not falling back to 3G from 4G

Hi,
I have a Lenovo vibe k6 note stock rom on Android 7.0.
Calls are working perfectly in Jio 4G (volte).
Recently I switched to Vodafone 4G (no volte).
When I try to place calls, the device is not falling back to 3G. I am unable to switch the network to 3G or 2G manually also. However 2G works when I change my primary data Sim.
I tried swapping the sim slots, toggling enhanced 4G services, restoring the device software, changing sim cards, replacing my sim card, the same problem persists.
I am using this sim with Lumia 640 XL LTE now. This issue is not present with other phones.
Any help would be appreciated.

Just Flash Stock Rom.. Issue will be solved

Try to lock bootloader through adb and chek your country code

Hey Swarnakanti,
I had tried that and was of no use. I tried to reset the modem setting via fastboot, lost IMEI. Finally I had to reburn the IMEI and WiFi address with QFIL and restore the baseband. I've put the method for the same on a different thread, please share the thread with others too, there are a lot of people with the same issue.
