Hi.
U might want to refer in here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2532210
Cheers.
I guess Applock is causing the issue, anyway...I factory reset my device and I'm having great battery life now.
Hi,
I own the S4 Google Edition (9505g) and in the last few days the battery started to drain way faster than it used to be.
I didn't installed any new apps nor changed any configurations whatsoever. Also, I did not see any system update which was installed.
The installed battery monitor app shows the regular usage, but the the battery just drains way fasted than it was before.
Any outputs or advice?
Thanks

I've noticed this too. I recently swapped from an i337 to the gt-i9505g. Battery has been amazing, but in the past couple days it's been draining like it's on fire. I dug deep and found that "Android OS" had a 4+ hour wakelock. Rebooted and so far no wakelocks, and battery seems to be back to normal.

Mine updated to KitKat (4.4) yesterday and I'm still good on battery life. Perhaps you should check out better battery stats?
Just received the KitKat update message, will update the damn thing later on today.
In the mean while, the drain carries on. Installed GSam monitor, seems like I'm having lots of wakelocks, and the built-in messaging app is sucking quite a lot of juice even though I'm not a heavy user.
Any further advice how to deal with it?
How long does it take for your battery to drain, on an average use?
I replaced stock messaging app with textra.. As for battery life I can usually get about 4 hours of screen time, b but on light use days I was getting about 20 hours or so. Haven't been on kitkat long enough to know, but battery life SEEMS better than it was. Fwiw in using art on 4.4 instead of dalvik.

Great.
I got 8SMS installed but disabled and I just got the call that KitKat was rolled out and ready to be installed. Will install it later and try to replace the stock messaging with 8SMS, perhaps that would help the phone to act better.
Do you happen to know if the ES File explorer still works with KitKat (allowing to create folders on the SD card)?
Thanks

Any of you guys running Amplify on the S7?
Used it on the Nexus 6P and managed to get pretty insane batterylife out of it. Talking days of use with close to 0% idle drain.
I've applied the same settings for the services, wakelocks and alarms on the S7 as i did on the Nexus. But as this is a touchwiz device i'm guessing there's loads more i can limit.
Used this amazing guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/guide-extreme-battery-life-t3095884
Has anyone made a list of wakelocks/services/alarms you can limit on the S7?
Thanks for any replies.

If that was the case i would of course go stock.
The phone using power while on is all fine and well. It's the standby drain that's bugging me.
i found greenify and amplify to be counterproductive. he's right stock rooted is best .minimal drain. the phone is already best equipped.

I'd like to see 8+hrs of idle with 0% lost. Screenshot if you don't mind.

Good battery stats, I can't say 0% idle drain though. Less than 1% no doubt. You seem to know how to use your phone though, most complaining is from folks that have literally all Samsung's bells and whistles enabled and are baffled by the battery drain they're experiencing.
Cheers ;]
Guys, phones are for Us. We are not for phones. I will not limit function of my phone because of battery. My mobile must have switch on everything, GPS, WiFi, sync etc. I have 20-24 standby and about 4 hours sot. Is fine for me, especially if We have fast charge and small powerbanks ( if We need to use them ).
So just before I continue this I want to say that I have Trickster installed and have done all the tips and fixes for root on the phone, and I notice that my battery drains pretty fast when in use.
I just was curious if it's cause of the Verizon version I'm on (before PE1) would anyone be able to tell me their battery life after root and give me any tips other than the ones already posted?
And please if you require more info on my battery stats, please ask, and I'll give you guys whatever you need.
Thanks in Advance.

I went back to stock after having almost all the possible modifications to enhance battery life on root. One small tip is that if you flashed the V15 fix zip, you didn't need to change governor settings manually. Even so, no matter what I did, I could only get to about 3 hours of SOT by the end of the day even without GPS use and all that before the battery is drained. After restoring stock, I'm seeing my usual 4-5 SOT of daily usage.
I'd rather wait to see if root is improved without the high CPU usage because of eng boot, from what I was told. Good luck.
I too have noticed decreased battery life though I can offer no suggestions to fix. I just downloaded a CPU control app to play around with. Right now I am able to get through the day so thats all that really matters, but its definitely decreased from before root.
Hi guys..im on 5.1.1 and the battery life sucks bigtime..due to cell standby. Is there any new updated fix for this? I tried solutions posted on youtube but no luck. I love my note 4 but this is killing me!! Thanks
Why not update to 6.0...? It might fix your issue with doze...
Sorry what do u mean by doze?

Doze is new feature in all.6.0.1 marshmallow devices by default to save battery life and apps optimization.
Lollipop is a mess the worst update ever for note 4 in.my opinion.
I recommend you 6.0.1 or 4.4.4 kitkat for better battery life.
Ok..are any of you having problems with the battery on 6.0.1??
