Is my Note3 soft bricked??? - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys been looking for solution for two days so decided to ask so here is my story.
I have a SM- N9005 international model rooted and running "Stock S5 origanal Rom" http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2771454. I had some problems with messaging so the network provider suggested I switch of my phone ,remove battery and sim card ,put all together again and that is where the problem started :crying:
1.When I turned the phone back on the phone semi wiped itself (Launcher was back to default settings but sms and contacts were still there) And tried other sim cards (Mine is working on 3 other phones.
2.The big problem is that the phone doesn't read the sim card no matter what I tried (Wiped and reinstalled Rom/Roms nothing all the same)
3.So decided to install stock Fimware with odin but still the same (doesn't read sim) but another strange thing happens, when I shut down phone it turns off then vibrates and turns itself back on
4.So I tried to do factory reset(settings>general>backup and reset) but no go the phone just turns off and on again without factory reset I have to go in to stock recovery to reset but it doesn't fix the shut down or the not reading sim issue :silly:
5.So was wondering if this is maybe a soft brick, witch would explain the not shutting down issue and maybe the sim? Or my sim reader is broken but that doesn't explain the shutting down issue?
6.Do anybody think I should try this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2567133
7.Or have any other suggestions. Thanx in advance

Anyone??:crying::crying:

[Q] SGS4 i9500 boot loop from hell.

I was checking Facebook when suddenly the phone restarted, but it got stuck at the first boot logo over and over...then i tried several steps to figure out what's going on.
*First I took the battery out, leaved the phone without it for about 5hrs, then I put it back and no luck... (The SD card was also removed.)
*Later I tried with a different battery and no luck, the phone keeps restarting over and over...
*Tried entering in Download mode and nothing works, the phone does not respond, and then it restarts...
*Tried doing a hard reset, but the phone does not respond to (vol up + home + power)
*Changed the SD card with a new one, nothing.
*The battery is not swallowed.
*The device was rooted and running Omega ROM V17 Android 4.3 (rooted it in December and had no problem).
WTH is going on?, if at least i could use download mode to fix it
(another thing that looks strange to me is that as soon as I put the battery on the phone, the device turns on intermediately and I think it's not normal because the device does nothing until the user turns it on.)
Please any help, this issue is over my head.
Thank you so much.
Download mode and recovery is available??
It can be 2 things:
- You have a faulty battery.
- You have damaged hardware.
No flash is going to help you. It's just bad luck.
Probably your power button was broken and stucked. If you still have warranty, send it to repair in samsung service center. This used to happen to my i9500 once.

[Q] G900A w/G900F Rom, doesn't want to reboot w/out pulling battery.

So I need Chinese language support(Full UI and everything) I bought my father in law a phone and he only understands Chinese, now the deal is I bought an AT&T G900A, I recently unlocked it to work with any carrier.
I installed Safestrap and flashed with VisionX G900F international ROM. It boots up and works fine, the problem I am having is, when I turn the phone OFF, the phone doesn't want to restart. I have to pull the battery out, put battery back in then it'll restart and run just fine., no problems.
If I restart the phone it does the same thing. It turns off then doesn't want to restart unless battery is pulled and put back in. The top left LED light stays on and lights up blue, the two bottom button stays lite up. Phone doesn't seem to be turning completely off.
Is there a possible way for me to strip the Chinese langauge support from the G900F rom and install it to the G900A rom? Or will I have to deal with pulling the battery out every single time the phone is restarted or turned off, just to get it to reboot?
I finally figured it out;
First off, I did search the forum first before posting and wasn't able to find anything. Upon doing some google searches I was able to find a solution.
Apparently, running a rom slot caused this booting error_ I deleted the rom-slot partition and attempted to flash the STOCK slot and from my previous attempts I didn't uncheck Mount SD Card. Apparently having this checked caused the phone not to boot when finished with flashing on the Stock slot.
I unchecked Mount SD Card, Wipe stock rom, Flashed G900F rom and it now works wonderfully. :good: It restarts just fine now too which is what I wanted. I am now an ANDRIOD FAN and believer, coming from being strictly on iPhones since the release of the iphone 3G

Note 3 n9005 rebooting every 2min

Hello, I've bought a note 3 N9005 on a secondhand forum, but I'm experiencing random reboot.
Seller told me he didn't had any kind of problem.
First time I got the phone it was OFF and when I was pressing Power nothing happened.. I removed battery, put it another one (I have 2 batteries) it worked fine until I got a random reboot. (Like 3mins later)
The ROM was MIUI, so I flashed it with Official 5.0 N9005XXUGPOF3
Spent the evening setting up the phone, everything was fine (the phone was plugged meanwhile).
The next morning I gave the phone to a relative. He called me later telling me the phone was randomly rebooting...
I've made a video of these reboot if needed.
Things I've tried:
Flashing to custom ROM (Exodus 5.1)
Flashing Bootloader to TWRP
Rooting the phone
Flashing again to official ROM
Switching Batteries
Switching SIM card
Nothing worked.. right now I'm trying to put battery to 0%

Very strange booting problem with my samsung galaxy S5 (SM-G900F)

Hello,
I hope someone can solve this problem for me. On a day i wanted to check my phone and I saw only the logoscreen of samsung. My first reaction was to pull the battery out and put it back in. So I restarted my phone but it was not going further dan the logoscreen of samsung and always kept restarting automatically. The very strange thing is when I remove the battery for more than 15 minutes and than put the battery again in the phone and push on the power button it starts with no problems. When the phone is completely started and I restart the phone manually the problem comes back again and the screen is not going further than the logoscreen of samsung and keeps restarting all the time automatically. The phone is 2,5 years old and I used it daily
What I already tried to solve the problem:
- Reset factory settings and wipe cache partition with the "power, volume up and home button"
- Installed firmware from sammobile with odin (firmware completed but still automatically restarting at logoscreen)
- Blew the powerbutton with air
- Rooted the phone with Kingo Root
I hope someone can help me? Dont know what I can do more
Root the phone properly instead of using kingoroot

The problem with rooting is that it sometimes has to restart the phone and then I have to problem again that it is not going further than the logoscreen. How do you root? Do you have a guide?

Phone Crashing after Samsung Logo

Hi guys,
I am having problems on my S7 Edge. The phone is stuck in a black screen and I tried restarting my phone by holding Volume Down + Power + Home for over a minute with no success. The phone is stock and rooted with TWRP and has been working fine for the last couple months. I tried plugging the power cable in and the battery screens shows up and I am able to restart my phone when the power is plugged in (battery over 80%). At this point it starts but after the Samsung logo appears it crashes again. I tried running the phone in safe mode but that did not work either. I am able to boot the phone into recovery mode and tried doing a Dalvik cache wipe. I get to the screen where Android is installing apps and after all apps got optimized it showed the home screen for about two seconds before crashing again.
After some more troubleshooting I took the sim card out and the phone is now running fine but whenever I put the sim card back in it crashes again. I tried turning airplane mode on and putting the sim card in which worked but once I turned airplane mode off it crashed again. My phone is Canadian version under Bell carrier. Just wondering if it is possible for a sim card to become corrupt and crash my phone like this? Are there any other areas I should check?
If anyone has some tips on what I can try it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Flash the latest Firmware using Odin by following this Tutorial step by step. Read everything at least once before you start the process!
Yes, it's possible for a SIM card, like anything else, to fail. Before messing with your factory software, I'd visit a carrier store and see if they'll let you try a different SIM.
