Hey Guys,
I want to update to 4.3 now with the Tools offered here, but this time on my Phone are a lot of data that I want keep save.
So what is the best method to backup and restore them? Shall I use TWRP and save all of it? Or shall I use other Stuff.
I also have Titanium Free Version. But this will not save my Data I asume?
best wishes,

Hi,
TWRP offer "nandroid backup" which is a phone backup solution, it work best to restore everything if you system data goes wrong and unable to start your phone. It also means you cannot selectively restore certain apps that you want with TWRP alone.
You can either use Helium (formerly Carbon) or Titanium Backup to backup your user apps. It will save your data so no worries here. For Titanium Backup to work, you need root. Helium works fine without root, but you need to install the desktop client.
Hope it helps.
Thanks for this tipp:
so if I make Nandroid Backup and Flash new Rom (4.3) and restore a nandroid Backup it go down again to 4.2.2 or it recover just apps / Images etc. to it?

Nandroid backup works like a system snapshot, so yes it will go back to 4.2.2 in ur case. Pictures & musics in /sdcard (/data/media) is untouched, they won't be backed up when nandroid or wiped when you do factory reset. It's an isolated zone for custom recovery.

Need a bit of help regarding nandroid backups.

So I have A little bit of a problem here, I want to make a nandroid backup so that I can safely install a Marshmallow ROM, now my problem is this: my memory is almost completely full. So I cannot make the backup on my phone using CWM recovery. I read about the way to make nandroids directly to a PC, but is it possible to restore those too/open the backup to view the files? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

[Q] Backup/Restore Process - w/ TWRP & TiBU Pro

What are the proper steps/selections using TWRP and Titanium Backup Pro together for backing up and then for restoring after wipe? Include steps if BU's need to be moved to PC or back to phone please.
Also, backup/restore work arounds necessary due to current state of TWRP.
Thanks much

ROM hoping

Hey there,
Probably noob question, but since our device depends on these dual boot slots...
I want to try some ROMs but I want to fully backup my current ROM exactly as it is. Is it possible? Say I use twrp to create a full backup, then when I get tired of trying other roms, how's the restore process? Did anyone try this? Thanks
try doing a fastboot copy of all the partitions
There's no restore process: your just flash the official fastboot ROM back and optionally relock. That's it.
I think i did not explain very well. I'm using resurrection remix right now.
My goal is to backup my phone current state. All the apps, definitions...everything. So i can try other ROMS, and when i'm done experimenting, i want to restore to my resurrection remix.
I don't want to go through the process of configuring everything all over again
Just make a backup in TWRP and restore it after, simple as that

Need help with TWRP backup

Hello!
After rooting and setting up everything I need, I wanted to make a full backup via TWRP.
Unfortunately it fails, as TWRP cannot create the necessary folder.
Also, I did not need to enter my pincode in order to use TWRP. That's not normal I suppose?
How can I get the backup working?
Thanks.
You might want to read through the twrp thread. https://forum.xda-developers.com/on...unofficial-twrp-touch-recovery-t3861482/page7
Thanks, that helped.
