I am having a strange experience with my Note 3 Neo Duos (N7502). When I install any other launcher (Go, Nova, Solo, etc). It installs fine and I select a theme of my choice. It all looks great. But after SOME HOURS, the wallpaper is replaced with the default wallpaper, which is all blue. Once that happens, I can no longer select ANY non-stock wallpaper with ANY launcher. Even with Go Launcher I cannot select a Go wallpaper. Has anyone had this experience?

The default is just the plain blue wallpaper. But that is not the issue. the issue is that any non-stock wallpaper I select is NOT selectable. But I can select any stock wallpaper, including the live wallpapers.
Every sim has its own wallpaper ! when you change the wallpaper you actually chnage it for the default sim. when sim 2 is used, the wallpaper assigned to it shows.
to see wallpaper being changed: put "Dual sim" Widget on your screen ; change the active sim and you'll see your wallpaper immediately changes.
I hope you understand my English.
I'm guessing a screenshot will help us to help you solve your problem.

Yes That's The Reason!!
by switching your sim card, the wallpaper and screen lock wall will change!!
and even when you switch it,even the sms will be send via that number with 3rd party sms apps Like Go SMS
i.e. if u select sim 2 and rply a sms, go sms will send your MSG by the second SIM Num!! LOL
Many thanks! I now see it is related to the active SIM. I followed the advise here and it works.

After a reboot I could no longer select any live wallpaper anymore all of a sudden. I have tried clearing cache and removing all data associated with the Live Wallpaper Picker but nothing has worked! Every time I am getting "Unfortunately the Live Wallpaper picker has stopped" when picking a previously installed live paper. This is VERY frustrating. I am running stock ROM rooted and have re-enabled all previously disabled apps and have unstalled greenify as well just in case. Have rebooted a few times and has not worked.
What I could remember doing was trying to clear all icons from the stock Touchwiz launcher as I am trialling other launchers. Would I have accidentally deleted some vital shortcuts? Removing the shortcuts does not remove the apps themselves, however.
I'm at a lost at what to do and really would prefer having to do a hard reset if possible. It has taken me 2 weeks to set up my Note 3 almost perfectly .....
UPDATE: I just found that I could still load Live Wallpapers IF I return back to touchwiz and set wallpaper via the menu (left) button. However I am still unable to set Live Wallpapers normally via the settings menu - the picker always crashes....
Any advice would be highly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

you could try this go to google play download any live wallpaper ,when downloaded press open and see what happens
tried already. The wallpaper picker will crash just like before. The only way is to get back to Touchwiz interface and use the menu button to set wallpaper. That way I can still select the custom wallpaper. This only occurred AFTER I went to Touchwiz and cleared up all the useless icons from the apps....I must have stuffed up something in TW...

there are some wallpaper picker apk on here do a search see if you can find one for n3
I am too scared to replace the stock apk if its still working via touchwiz. At least it still works. I have probably broken something when i deleted off all the shortcuts in the TW desktop.

This happened to me when I had too many live wallpapers installed, it couldn't load the list. (about 30). Don't suppose that could be it?

I get this as well, in Nova, LWP crashes. If I load Touchwiz Home, it works fine. Kind of irritating to swap launchers just to change the LWP settings.

Thanks for posting this, hadn't thought to try setting the live wallpaper from tw home. I had touchwiz home frozen with TB. Unfroze it, set the live wallpaper from tw home, and live wallpaper is back in Nova. It wasn't enough to merely unfreeze tw home, I had to set the live wallpaper from there too.

I have touchwiz running, simple and easy and I swapped between them, but the live wallpaper still crashes. Even after putting the .apk in the system/app folder and changing the permissions, etc. I'm running Sacs rom on an S4.
Unfortunately Live Wallpaper Picker has stopped - Fix
1. Backup and Uninstall the system
[Live Wallaper Picker]
{livewallpaperspicker.apk}
ONLY (NOT livewallpapers.apk) with [Lucky Patcher](you need to enable system files in Lucky Patcher) or some other App like that (you don't need to uninstall any already installed live wallpapers).
2. Download many livewallpaperspicker.apk you can find all over the internet for different Android versions(doesn't matter even if the version is not specified, download anything you can). (btw, I am using a LiveWallpapersPicker.apk by cycloneblast which I found in another thread. I've no idea what version it targets)
3. Install the livewallpaperspicker.apk for the Android version you are running.
4. If it still says unfortunately live wallpaper picker... then Install other versions and test them(you don't need to restart your device).
5. If still not working, then remove odex file of the Live Wallpaper Picker with Lucky Patcher and then repeat steps 3 and 4.
6. If STILL not working then remove corpses with [SD Maid](you need to enable system files in it's settings first which is usually turned off when you install it). WARNING: Use at your own RISK.
Hi. I have outlined the fix for this in my video on youtube here: youtubeDOTcom/watch?v=7DlTBr8r2Ws
How do I set the lockscreen wallpaper on OOS Beta? I use Muzei and it changes the desktop wallpaper, but not the lockscreen wallpaper. There used to be an option to set the lockscreen wallpaper to the desktop wallpaper.
Much thanks!
Try this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.alicantedevelopers.lockscreenchangercm13 maybe this works.
But your phone has to be rooted.
On the stock oos beta, just go on the [wallpaper / widget / settings] (by touching the drawer on a blank 2 sec), and you'll have the option to change the wallpaper, just swipe to the right, and you will have an option for the lockscreen. (don't forget to click on save)
I would love to know this as well

Well, that's actually not the problem. The actual problem is, that there is no option for the lockscreen to use the same wallpaper that is used on the homescreen. It's also not possible to choose Muzei as wallpaper source for the lockscreen, which really bothers me, and as I guess, the op too.

I tried creating a symlink for /data/system/users/0/keyguard_wallpaper pointing to /data/system/users/0/wallpaper, didn't solve the problem. I also tried deleting the file, didn't help.

First off I'm using Apex launcher( not sure if it matters). I Press on a any blank part of the screen in the menu prompt choose Wallpaper, then on pick image scroll over to wallpapers. there you can set your Home screen and your Lock screen saving each one individually.

Yes, but here we are talking about having both the lock screen wallpaper and home wallpaper in sync. So for example using Muzei, which automatically switches periodically the Home screen wallpaper, it also changes the lock screen wallpaper so you have the same in both places.

Hello everyone. I seem to have a bit of a problem regarding live wallpapers with the new 7.0 Nougat update. I am currently using the Galaxy Pack app from Play Store as my live wallpaper and I was using it on both my home screen and lock screen. Now here's the problem, after the update I tested out some stuff (including changing the wallpapers) and now I cannot put the live wallpaper back on the lock screen. On the home screen it works fine. When I try to select a static picture as my wallpaper, after I select it, it asks me (Do you want this on your home screen, lock screen, or both?), but when I select the Galaxy Pack wallpaper it just sends me on the app's menu where I click set wallpaper and only the home screen one applies. I have tried different launchers including Nova launcher (The one I currently use) and Google Now Launcher, but nothing lets me put the Galaxy Pack LW as a lock screen wallpaper. Please help.
Also on a side note, does anyone know how to set the settings, quick settings tab, etc. on dark(black) theme? I hate all the white of it. Is it possible to do this at all? (without rooting)
Just downloaded planety of live wallpapers. None of them is working on the lockscreen, nothing really can be done here. But changing theme to any other colour is simple, just open the Samsung themes app and set the dark one.

All right. Thank you for responding. I hope they fix the live wallpaper problem soon. And many thanks for the dark theme. Cheers.

When you on homescreen open menu(I have it on long press fp sensor) then choose wallpaper and select one. When saving you can choose if it will be set as home, lock or both.

As I mentioned earlier, I use Nova Launcher instead of the stock launcher.
Every gallery that I tried using (even the stock one) has got only the "SET AS >> WALLPAPER" option.
There is no "SET AS >> LOCK SCREEN WALLPAPER" option anywhere except the stock launcher - which I don't like to use.
Am I missing something here?

You may not read my post correctly. You don't need any gallery for that.
Just follow my instructions. I'm using Nova Launcher since years and I have the option is always there just checked a second ago . Don't start by selecting a picture with any gallery app!

Hi, I've noticed an odd issue where the theme resets to default after a while. I feel like the whole launcher and system UI restarts?
It's a really annoying issue. Not unlocked and not rooted.

No it happens regardless of the theme selected. Even on default theme + different wallpaper, it happens. And resets itself to default wallpaper.
So this doesn't happen to anyone else then?

It hasn't happened to me. I use default theme with different wallpaper both on lock screen and home screen. It's fine.
I found the issue myself. I had a custom font installed. This caused the theme to be reverted. Once I came back to the default font, I can change the other settings as I please.
Thanks to everyone for the help.
Same happened to me. I try to use third party themes using different theme editor (ex. Mi Rape, MIUI Theme Editor, My Themer, etc. ..). It works actually and third party theme is applied. However, after a while, it reverts back to default theme.
Any advise how can this be fixed?

THIS IS THE SOLUTION
1. Open the theme app and select the default theme.
2. Look at the bottom of the screen and UNCHECK Lock screen, Favorite tray, and Icons options leaving only the General option.
3. Then Select Apply
4. Go back and select the theme you actually want.
5. CHECK the Lock screen, Favorite tray, and Icon options
6. Select Apply
7. Theme is now applied and will not revert to the old theme.
NOTE: This condition of reverting to the default theme developed after changing font on Redmi note 8
Hi, thank you.
But is there a solution that I can change the General option, because I want the costum Notification Bar?
Hi everyone.
I'm still not solved this issue that whole launcher and system UI restarts and resets itself to default lock screen.
I only changed to custom font in the Option->Theme->font at the Resion/India after load the font using the app called "MIUI custom font Installer"
Is there any other solution besides rooting?
Unlocked and not rooted. MIUI Global version 11.0.9

I was experiencing this issue a while ago. But I might've kinda fixed it because it's been 6 hours and my theme isn't resetting.
What I did was applying the stock font (roboto), then apply any theme that I download from theme store and check all the options (lockscreen, icons, system, etc), and reboot. After that I change my font back to what I was using before.
I'm in miui 12.0.3.0 and I'm using Mi 9T.

I think it's because of your unsupported font. This happens even with unsupported emoji set(bitmap font).
