I had the same question and need to know what's new in this May update N5100XXDNE2. Thanks
Checked sammobile and its there. Whats new in this update and has anyone updated??
New firmware
Seeing that nobody seems to answer, I'll ask another question. I've downloaded the new firmware twice from sammobile and both were corrupted.
I see there's a newer firmware from United Arab Emirates, can i flash that version over my current polish one without any issues from knox?
You can download it from samsung-updates.com
I am using Poland DNE2. I didn't try the April version, but current DNE2 is OK so far. Except for occasional freezes while switching wifi status, everything runs smoothly.

Just updated mine from DND8 to DNE2 using Odin. To my surprise, it doesn't clear my data.
All apps and settings still intact.
Sent from my LG-D802 using Tapatalk
What about the Nordic Countries? Can this be flashed on those devices?
S-Pen Offset
Can anybody confirm if the S-pen offset issue has been fixed?
Confirm

Hi,
I installed N5100XXDNE2 version on Friday. I didn't found any updates in software or differences between DND8 and DNE2.
For me this version fixed stability issues. In DND8 I had problem with crashing the applications (e.g. S-Note) and also sometimes rebooting. DNE2 I found out more stable but this is only few days experience.
S-pen offset issue has not been fixed It is funny because if I am using S-Note to write text then cursor is on right place and there is no any offset. But when I am writing something in gmail than there is so big offset between cursor and S-Pen.
If you have any other question regarding DNE2 version I can check it.
How is performance and battery life? How about the SD card issues? I'm still on 4.1.2 never got any updates on my CSC(XFA) so I'm going to flash one from a different country but would just like some more feedback.

Hi all!
I bought my Gnote online i sweden and the version of my phone is says this:
PDA:KKA / PHONE: KK5 / CSC: KK5 (AUT)
My question is what is (AUT)
And do I have the latest version?
Thank you
Best regards /equalness
Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk
Your phone is from austria (aut)
KKA is not the latest firmware but
it's the latest the phone comes shipped with.
There are two ROMs for Austria:
GT-N7000ZBAATO - N7000XXKKA/N7000OXXKK5/N7000XXKK5/N7000XXKKA 12/11/2011
GT-N7000ZBADRE - N7000XXLA4/N7000DREKL1/N7000NELA1/N7000XXLA4 16/01/2012
LA4 is the latest leaked for the moment.
Thanks now I known, but is it possible to change it to the Nordic version and get updates with kies / on the air?
Best regards and thank you for the info!

Switch to Nordic countries version
I think you can flash this FW to switch to Nordic countries version (you have to root ur phone first and use CWM Recovery to do flashing). Remember to Backup data!
http://www.hotfile.com/dl/137300051/62531bc/N7000XBKK4_N7000OXXKK5_NEE.zip.html
It's stock rom listed on http://www.samfirmware.com and for that, you can update OTA by Kies.
Thank you! Just another question before I flash.: do you think its necessary for me to flash to the Nordic version, or I can stay with this one?
Thanks in advance
Best regards /Adil

Only in case you have to do special things directly with Nordic language. Otherwise, no need to do so if your device is working smoothly. Plus, UK/English versions trend to be updated very soon, if not the soonest.
It's my private opinion.
Hi,
I have been waiting for a new firmware for the WiFi version of Note and one was released yesterday.
You can grab it from here - http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-N8010

I'm running the N8013 so I'm guessing that wouldnt be for me. Is there actually anything new in it or just the release firmware?

Sorry I only found something for the N8010. Isn't the N8013 the same as the European WiFi version anyway?
I flashed N8000 software on my N8010 and it was fine.

ill check the Ota option in settings when I get off. does samsung post the drivers/tools needed for manual flashing of firmware?
Guys where can I find the description and differences N8010, N8013, N8000 please?
Is Note 10.1 3G+WiFi 16GB called N8000?
Interestingly I just fired up kies and the update isn't showing.
Still showing :
PDA: LGC
CSC:LG7 (BTU)
On closer look its a BTU region / Germany update.
I've downloaded both files, and one is a kernel, and but what is the other - its a really small file.

I have had CyanogenMod 10.x on my P5110 for a month or so now and I miss Samsung's stock firmware.
According to SamMobile, the latest firmware for "United Kingdom - BTU" is XXCLK7 (4.1.1, dated November 2012). This seems old.
4.1.2 is available when you do not choose "United Kingdom - BTU", but is it wise for me to choose non-UK firmware? Will it be in a foreign language etc.? Are there any specific ones to use if I'm based in the UK or speak English?
You can use anyone but i´ll advice you to use the latest one from Holland (PHN) from here http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-P5110

When will stock 4.2.2 be out for the P5110? I know it's out for the Tab 2 7.0 (P3100).

Someone tried to root this by CF Auto Root?
Any other ideas?
Thank you been waiting forever, its a great help to have all on same OS version.
CWM AutoRoot seems to work, but be aware of KNOX flag... and if you update to 4.4.2, with new bootloader, you will not be able to downgrade to 4.2.2 again (in a stock way).

Use the cf-auto-root... after reboot go to play store and update the supersu. Disable knox when you got the message from supersu.

Just download the zip file, unzip, Open Odin 3.09, Select the file in the AP slot in Odin, and go.
When it finished, everything was still there and it's just fine sofar. Everything looks like it does in the 5100 version.
Before I saw this thread... There are a bunch of peeps installing this firmware and are falsely reporting improvements.
Please be advised, that the comments given by the OP are hearsay and are not fact.
At this time 4.2.2 Stock firmware with Xposed 2.6 and proper setups is about the same speed wise as 4.4.2.
As for battery... 4.4.2 won't beat 8 hours with streaming video, and if any small improvement will probably be with apps hibernation. Wireless printing works on all Androids, and full screen as well. SD card is best served by 4.2.2, though some improvements are being made to allow such function with 4.4.2.
4.4.2 is too buggy with apps and what not for me to be happy with such an upgrade. Gosh, it took 4 months since owning my 4110 and 4100 to get apps that function well with 4.2.2. I can imagine another year or so for 4.4.2.
You can root 4.4.2 without KNOX flag... though many are too misled about how to root, and are using old root tools, not the latest and greatest.
Just hate to see someone blindly move to 4.4.2 without really understanding pros and cons. Seems like peeps are wanting what others have on newer devices. There is a reason Windows XP users scoff at upgrading. Not that I am pro 4.2.2, just find it more useful to my expectations than the upgrade, one being SD card compatibility... over 7,000 MP3 songs and video, with mapped system folders to SD.
