Hi
Is there a ROM which is stock rom and it is know free for i9500?
If not, which is the closest to such rom?
There are many Stock ROMs, knox free but you will need to root your phone to get access to those. You can even get the taste of S5 with some ROMs

Hi all!
I've bought a new S4 (i9505) and fortunately I don't have knox on my device...
Now I'd like to install the last 4.3 GE and may be the CM 10.2 when in stable state.
My first question is: if I flash the recovery (CWM or ... ?) and then the GE and/or CM ROM the knox will not installed right? I'll only need Triangleaway app to reset counter?
Second: if I get trouble and I'll need to flash back to stock for warrenty, can I flash the actual stock ROM via kies and bypass the know problems?
Third: I saaw that there's not only one post for the GE ROM... where can I find the last standard GE release flashable via recovery?
Thanks!
You should read the forums more before you start doing anything. It will save you lots of trouble in the future. I know its a lot of information in this forum, but read read read before you start doing things to your expensive phone.
If you stay away from knox enabled stock roms, you will be fine. That is with stock roms that also flash bootloaders. My advice would be to stay away from flashing stock roms in general and look for a custom rom that suits your needs.
Don't use kies, but just use Odin if you want to get back to stock.

Thanks! I've really appreciate your help!
I've read a lot of posts but is not simple to understand all and/or read all the messages, so apollogise if me and someane else write down a new post hoping someone point us to right thread.
Well... I've understood that ODIN is my friend and I'm downloading from sammobile my current stock ROM without knox so I'll be able to reflash stock ROM if necessary keeping my S4 far from knox.
Now.... someone con point me to the last 4.3 GE ROM because I still can't understand wich is the cleanest (similar to the real GE) and stable ROM to flash...
Thanks guys!
Hi!
First time posting on this forum, after installing like 40 custom roms from this site.
I have a question, with the current Knox issue, I would like to know if its ''worth it'' to install the stock google edition rom. I have in the past, as noted before, flashed ALOT of custom firmware's on my old Galaxy S1. Although I didnt care much about warranty issues back then, I do know. And the Knox flag is not making things much easier for me as I cant hide the fact that I flash custom firmware.
So, is the google edition all that good for the S4, and might it be possible that in the future, you can install custom firmware without tripping knox 0x1?
Thanks in advance
hi. i have a 9505 running 4.3 stock rom (yes i have the knox during the update, thanks sCamsung for not letting me know, *****es)
i know i can root 4.5 stock. my rom is MKF.
but what comes after root, im not too sure about some things
i dont care about knox 0x0 or 0x1
my questions is :
-how can i install a custom recovery without ending with a brick ? which one is appropriate ? remember i got stock knoxed 4.3
-can i install a custom rom after flashing recovery ? which one is appropriate?
maybe this kind of questions has been answered 10000 times with old 4.2 roms. but for stock 4.3 i didnt see much things about it and want to be sure before trying to flash.

Head to this:

1.cf root
2.yes-rom recommendations are against rules of forum.
3.rubbish
4.you dont need a custom rom.just remove all the unecessary crap using tb or system cleanup
I'm a little confused about which ROMs I can use on my N3. I have a N900W8 Canadian Rogers hltecan phone with bootloader and CSC version MJ4. I am on 4.3 stock right now and I intend to keep knox at 0x0. I have rooted it with Kingo so knox is ok. On my old S3, I just used ROMs from AT&T section of S3. But it seems N3 is quite different.
From my understanding, to install custom ROM without tripping knox, I can go the Mobile Odin Pro route and make sure the ROM that I install has no custom kernels (and also that ROM does not require custom Kernels). The other way to go about it is to use Safestrap, but I don't think there's support for Rogers yet? Also, I cannot install custom recovery (safestrap exception)
Some other questions I need to ask is if I want kitkat 4.4 on ROM's, do I have to find one with the same bootloader version? How would I know if a certain ROM is compatible with my device or can I look in the AT&T Note 3 sections like I did with my S3?
Hope you guys can point me in the right direction! Thanks

Hi mate
You can root with this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2292615
The only problem is that the knox bit will be set and the warranty gone......other than that it will work, unfortunately there is no method to root the i9500 without tripping the knox bit .
