I have been looking around for a mini usb to 3.5mm headphone adapter for the hermes. I found such a device for moterola phones. Will this work on the hermes too?

No. The connector is different. At the moment the only way to achieve this is to "adapt" the original as shown here:-

When you get your phone back from HTC repairs, the car charger will work no problem.
I asked the question a long time ago....
but now i have the Blackstone and all cables work properly, with no problems
i bought some usb to 3,5mm adapter for my htc kaiser, that worked very well on it, but today i tried to plug one on the Touch, and it didnt fit. does the touch use a diferent usb port than the kaiser?
do i have to buy some special adapter, only for the touch?

I saw yesterday that USB host have been released for HTC Desire HD:

as USB doesn't work until now for Blackstone, it would be a dream to have USB host functionnality... mini-usb adapters are much easier to find than micro-USB host adapters!
Does someone knows weither it's feasable or not (hardware limitation) ?
