I had kind of slowed development on it since I didn't see much interest in it, but I'll finish it up tomorrow and hopefully have it uploaded by Monday.
Apparently I over estimate. Released here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=53411658

a question: is the problem with the missing circle icon on the lockscreen fixed with the 4.4.3 update port ?

The lock screen itself didn't have an issue, the active display screen does. Still working to remedy that.

This may be a dumb question, but when flashing the Moto X faux kernel on the stock 4.4 rom, I had to Uninstall the active display app and reinstall it from the market to make it work. Is it possible that's all you need?

No luck. Uninstalling then reinstalling from the market has actually made active display "inactive" lol. Oh well...like the port otherwise. Seems like significant battery life improvement over 4.4 stock and the 4.4.2 port. Nice job.

I side loaded it from the update.zip here at XDA so of course my has an S also. Wonder if it is a finished bake or if there will be an updated version that will be pushed out to everyone else and the "official" soak testers leaving those of us that used the soak to update out in the cold.

I wouldn't say that. I had a full system freeze which has never happened before. Had to hold the power button to restart phone.
Normally when that happens it is an app and you can hit home key and go back.
First time on a stock build this has ever happened.

Well, with the exception of the people whose stock phones bricked, there isn't too much wrong. The home key is a pain in the neck. I'm also having higher battery drain since the update. Otherwise, anybody who picked up my phone would have a hard time figuring out if it was running Jellybean or KitKat.

You said easy root. Are you talking about the root path (being rooted and then making it keep through the update)? Or did you have some other root method that worked for you on kitkat? It may be a long shot, and I know it's not known to work, but I've been meaning to try root on 4.4 to see if I get lucky.
