Hy Guys,
I've got a curious problem.
My GS4 have currently CM 11-20140125-NIGHTLY and i just want to flash the newest nightly.
But if I 'Reboot to Recovery'
It Reboots and shows the "Starting Recovery" logo on the top left ... stuck for 10 sec. or so
And then just Boots normally into CM
If I try the VolUP+Power or VolUP+Menu+Power it happens the same.
Any clous?
[EDIT]
Could be marked as Solved
I Just reflashed PhilZ Recovery via Odin ... Two Reboots later ... I'm in the Recovery Mode
Flash recovery again via Odin or mobile odin see how that goes
hi,
my S4 i9500 won't boot.
i have tried loading several versions of stock roms, recoveries and non-stock roms.
all stock roms fail in odin, and i get "unsupported dev_type" error on the device.
other non-stock roms install with no error, but the device won't boot after reboot.
finally, out of frustration and recklessness, i guess i used an S4 boot loader fix wihch loaded successfully from odin.
unfoutunatly, after rebooting the device, boot message sais GT-I9505 instead of GT-I9500. turns out it was a 9505 boot loader fix.
is there anything i can do to bring my device back to life??
currently, device won't boot to recovery (blue "recovery booting" on top left corner of screen), won't boot to system, but can enter download mode, and be identified by odin.
update: i also tried flashing stock rom with pit file. in this case i get "secure check fail : pit" error message on the device
thanks!!

if you dont want to be on stock rom then try flashing a custom recovery by odin eg philz touch link here and then just flash it via recovery and you will be able to boot into recovery and then you can just flash a custom rom.
if you dont want to install custom rom do a clean wipe and try flashing the stock rom again
hope it hepled .
Hit thanks if it helped.

Hi mate,
Flash a stock rom with odin , who knows what happen when you flashed the boot fix plus all the custom rom
Easiest way out is flash stock start from beginning

and bro please hit thanks button.
I have a SM-N9005 (on 4.4.2) which is facing boot loops (doesn't pass the animated Samsung logo). Tried to enter recovery mode but it reboots after a few seconds after seeing the blue recovery booting wordings.
I am able to enter to download mode and managed to successfully flash the stock firmware (from samfirmware.com) using ODIN 3.09. Phone reboots after ODIN finishes flashing and tries to enter recovery mode but it fails as per before.
Tried to root using CF-Auto-Root and tried to use TWRP or CWM recovery modules but unable to boot up to these modules as well.
Any other ideas guys?
Hello Guys,
So i managed to fix my previous error. Now I'm at the end almost. I'm installing CynagenMod 13 on my N9005. I installed ClockworkMod Recovery, I think. I say I think because when i try to boot into it I get the below message.
"Recovery Booting"
"Set Recovery Bit : recovery"
Then it goes black and vibrates twice and boots normally.
I have the CynagenMod in a zip on my SD and the guide i am following refers to the ClockworkMod Recovery menu. The normal Recovery menu loads fine, ClockworkMod Recovery doesn't seem to load. Can i use the normal Recovery or does anyone know a way of getting ClockworkMod Recovery to work?
Root is not required to flash a custom rom or recovery.
Try flashing twrp and then flashing a rom from twrp.
I used odin to root, worked fine for a while then restarted the phone and the it is not boot looping. i can not get the recovery mode to load anymore. When recovery is suppose to load i only see "recovery booting...."
