No really. I do have the same problem. I've tried installing different roms, different methods but still the same problem. I think its a problem with the WiFi driver Samsung has created for ICS/JB
i did install XXLQ2 but wifi still not working !!!

i have flashed the official rom but my device disconnect automatically after about every few minutes but able to reconnect!
yes same here but you will be lucky if u can reconnect sometimes u have to reboot to make it work again !
Still no solution , hope someone finds a way to fix this
I have the same problem after installing with PC ODIN.
I flashed back to HC and back to ICS Hong Kong version and it's still resetting Wifi every 10 secs.
I've now installed Wifi Fixer from Play Store and it is resets it faster and holds the connection longer.
Although it still persists Wifi Fixer seems to improve it to the point where it's bare able.
Get Wi-Fi fixer from Play store. I did, and it works magic!

Update;
Well, Wifi Fixer only seemed to work for a few routers.
The one at home worked well but my router at work just wouldn't hold the connection.
I was about to give up and go back to HC.
I thought I'd give the new Austrian build a chance LQ2.
Since changing I noticed better Wifi signal for starters and no drop off like the Hong Kong version.
They Wifi seems fixed on the LQ2 build, it's working very well so far.

[Q] MIUI v5 - Wifi Problem

-- I don't have permission to post in nexus 4 android development yet. --
My nexus 4 have some problems to connect in wifi networks.
the wifi manager says 'not in range', but in the network details, the signal is excelent.
I tried:
wipe/format cache.
wipe dalvik.
factory reset (wifi works some minutes before drop)
delete dhcp files.
change kernel (franco/faux)
install other roms (stock / paranoid / cm 10)
use wifi fixer.
disable router security.
change router channel..
Please help.

So it didn't work on any of the ROMs you tried?
Then try flashing the factory images. If it stays the same, then it might be caused by hardware.
WiFi Works on OTHER ROMS !
the problem seems to have happened after the kitkat update of thestock rom. on 4.2.2 and 4.3, i would flash miui v5 3.9 and wifi used to work just fine. after flashing from kitkat stock rom, the issue propped up on ALL miui roms. INCLUDING THE OLD ROM I FLASHED WHICH USED TO WORK FINE.
Have you tried flashing the 48 radio. As if you're baseband is 4.4 then maybe you're radio is incompatible with 4.2 radio, 48 radio you need think. Might be wrong check the radio thread.

No sound

I rooted and flashed a Google edition rom on my phone. Worked great. Wanted to try a Kitkat rom so flashed a new modem with Odin.(UEMK9) That also worked great. Then I wanted to go back to a "stock" Samsung rom, I choose Mike's Arhd and flashed the rom and the wifi fix for my modem.I had sound on the first boot but the wifi did not work so i decidet to flash both rom and fix again. Full wipe both in phils recovery and aroma. Rom booted but wifi still does not work and now also no sound. Tryed to flash again but the same problems every time. Flashed other roms and wifi works but I still have no sound. Can anyone help me?
Hi..
Sound can be easily fixed by flashing the right modem.. so the problem now is the wifi..
To fix wifi do the following:
Open build.prob and change this value from:
ro.securestorage.support=true
To
ro.securestorage.support=false
And the wifi will work. . Good luck

Really strange.. remember when you flash a modem to completely turn off the phone then enter the download mode (don't use restart menu to enter download mode) and when you flash a modem, flash it twice (turn off your phone after the first flash)
But sorry all that problems caused a headache for me
Btw since all of that problems happen to you with AR rom try another 4.2.2 roms and always remember to full wipe..
Good luck..
I gave up the phone for a few days, downloaded everything again and flashed and this time it worked Strange since I had sound on the first flash But who cares as long as it works Merry Christmas and Thank you for your help.

(Q) unstable wifi on nexus 7 2012

Hi all, couple days before my nexus suddenly have an unstable wifi. It never been this before and it getting worse. Im using the latest purity rom with lean kernel.
I ve tried to factory reset and flash again with the same rom with the same kernel, but it only last for an our than it started unstable again. I reset it my router and my modem but no luck still unstable. But my other phone vs980 work fine.
I have read other topic about this matter and tried to install some of the apps but still does not work.
Is there any rom and kernel that might fix this problem. I am playing online game and it is very annoying to have this problem.
Pleasee help and thanks in advance.

I'm also having this same problem. It seems to have just started out of the blue. I thought it may have been rom related so I flashed a different rom (PA) but I'm still having this problem. I'll report back if I can find anything out. Or if anyone knows the cause or fix for this, that information would be greatly appreciated.
Just now i ve tried cm11 official and it seem the problem still there so i restore my backup and it work fine i think, but stock rom without any modified kernel is so lagging. So i return to purity rom. At first, wifi has stable connection but after that same problem occure.
Please someone advise me what to do .. please.
Do the f2fs fix this problem.
Thanks again and sory for my bad english

Bump
I've done a lot of searching and this seems to be a problem that quite a few people seem to be having, but I haven't come across any solutions. There were mentions of using a Wifi fixer app from the play store but that proved ineffective. Any one else running into this problem?
Same problem here.
I ve tried return to stock again with my backup and did not last for long because to laggy and i flash f2fs lego kernel with purity rom. And then the nightmare came back damnnn. Its is bizzare because a month before ot works just fine with the wifi. Probably with the apps or the router is not compatible . And the worst part, that ive got buffering when watching youtube from the first i had this nexus.
I think the best solution is wait for 4.4.3 to release.

I did update the ktu84l and wish that fix my wifi but its the same damnnn problemm appear. Still unstable wifi. Check my router and change to my old ones and still the same. My other phone lg, samsung and my old photon works well. Sighhhh oh well i am hopeless with this n7.
