Galaxy S4 recovery of files

Good afternoon
I am from Brazil and I love my Galaxy S4 with android 4.3 it is a sensational phone. On the other hand I lost some files in it and I have been digging up ways to recover them. One way was through Dr.Fone. which required root for android 4.3, and I could not find any other solution. I was looking for a trouble free solution without root, but my best shot until now was Dr.Fone.
Do I have to root to recover those files?
Is there anyway I can recover those files without root??
If I have to root how do I do it?
I am newbie so sorry if I seem retard.

To recover deleted files using a mobile app, you probably will need root. There are good guides available on how to root your device. Start by looking here:

But is there any solution even using the PC if necessary without root?

[Q] Galaxy s4 i9506 root?

Hey, does anyone know how to root i9506 cause I can't find any I always see i9505. If anyone can link me to it or tell me how to do it, it will much appreciated. Thanks

Have you tried the method recommended for the i9505? CF-Autoroot. Worth a shot.

Have you tried to look in the i9506 forum here?
I know i have, and i'm rooted!

Dont want to take any chances with using the i9505 method.

Thanks but they only have the file. Do I just boot into download mode and download the root zip from there? Or is there something I'm missing?

I have a also galaxy s4 i9500 indian...u should go to chanfire post and know about root guide.......and but i want to say something i am suffering the flashcounter problem because for i9500 triangleaway not supported yet.

Root i9505 without freezing screen and reboot

Please someone can tell me how can i root the phone, only root without having problem with freezing the screen and random reboots ? I have this model -

You need to delete everything Knox related after rooting.

Already did this 1 time and my phone dont started anymore.

Be careful with what you delete.

Now i will delete only knox from system/app and nothing else. Thanks again

Glad you got it work mate.

no no,it's not working this is the second time i have delete all knox file i made all from description,same thing after restart bootloop on samsung,maybe the cf root i have flashed its not good one ? i dont know

- Reflash the rom you are on.
- Flash a custom recovery
- Flash this script http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4/general/scriptknoxout-complete-brutal-knox-t2807172
- Flash cf auto root
