Hello! I have installed the CM10 from pershoot whit recovery, modem and bootloader .tar from droidbasement.com. Recovery is able to wipe cache but when i want to wipe data it force restart in recovery and nothing have been erased. Do i can wipe all whit Odin or something else?? :cyclops:
If i format every folder From the recovery on my tablet do i will able to flash original rom whit odin to return to stock or it will break something?
I had these experience as u described.
You likely have to flash any ICS stock rom from Odin and then root your device in order to get this resolve.
i updates successfully to cm 12 ota, unlocked bootloader , installed twrp recovery ,rooted without any problem
after two months i deleted all files present in internal memory using PC and did other things like deleting files from internal storage like ANDROID folder etc
i tried to factory reset my phone so i went to settings > factory reset> Erase everything... mobile rebooted and YU logo popped up and booted as normal boot... { factory reset didn't occur}
and then i wanted to install blisspop rom so copied zip files and advance rebooted to recovery... still no recovery window popped up (only normal root occured) ... tried to go to recovery pressing buttons but still cant go to recovery
how to repair these.. or how to install official rom again so that i will not have any problem... plz help
same problem here bro... but again flashed twrp..
Hi,
I have G935F, installed TWRP 3.0.0.0 and rooted, WITHOUT wiping. System boots correctly, but I cannot do factory reset or wipe with TWRP, because I got some messages like "Cannot mount Data" and "Failed crypto loader". I understand that it has to do with encryption. Can someone please enlight me, and give me tips about the issue?
Thank you

You have to download dm-verity and force encryption disabler from here , put it to SD card, reboot into TWRP, FORMAT DATA (not wipe) and flash that file (dm-verity and force encryption disabler). All your data will be erased.
No way to unencrypt without loosing you data for the moment(
"All your data will be erased" means that after boot I'll find a clean system installation (as factory reset)?
I hope not to be posing stupid questions, I'm completely new to this world
Thank you very much
Yes just as a factory reset

No, you cannot perform a backup, because your data is encrypted by default and the only way to disable it is to format your data.
I have a unique problem. I have a HTC Desire 612 from Verizon and I decided to revive it to playe PoGo. But it was stuck in a boot loop and I couldn't get any custom ROM.
Finally a gentle soul here gave me the stock rom and I flashed it vide TWRP and played PoGo for weeks. Then yesterday the phone bro led and when it came up it was stuck in a boot loop.
So I decided to flash the stock ROM again. But before that I tried to factory reset. I could go to TWRP, select wipe data, enter yes and the wiping was successful, then clear dalvic and cache and system beforehand finally I flashed the stock ROM.
Surprise surprise is NOTHING happens. The phone boots without the apps telling me they are installing. Then I get back the exact same data in my phone including my selected wallpaper and apps. Before I can do anything the phone restarts.
Point is wiping and restoring the stock ROM does NOTHING to the phone yet the processes are successful. Can somebody help?

It really is about TWRP failing to wipe
Before going into the subject, I'll say that I have tried to seach this matter in XDA and Google, but nothing showed up.
Okay, so my matter is that I can't restore my backup of stock rom(8.0) after I flash a 8.1 rom. I've backuped with official TWRP "recovery-3.2.1-2-oreo.img".
My procedures are :
back up stock 8.0(system, data, cache, efs) with official TWRP "recovery-3.2.1-2-oreo.img"
flash oreo rom(with wiping internel, data, system, cache) and boot it fine.
restore my stock backup with same TWRP
boot system
The results are :
Goes past boot logo
Boot animation('android one' with colors sliding) shows up
and... just infinite loop of boot animation.
The ROM I used is RR.
I think the main problem is related with encryption.... Just my thought, tho.
So what I'm asking is :
1. If you face the same problem as me?
2. If you aren't and you restore goes fine, please tell me your procedures including ROM used and TWRP used.
3. Whether it is safe to decrypt stock rom?
Thanks in advance!
You don't need to flash stock ROM again. You have a system image backup(system, data, cache, efs), right? Wipe data , system, cache if you are coming from any other ROM. Then reboot to bootloader. Boot into latest TWRP from Fastboot (don't flash). Then go to restore and restore the system image you had backed up. Don't restore efs if you haven't lost your IMEI.
I've done exactly as ypu told, but it doesn't boot...
Did you manage to restore without problem with your method?
Yes I was able to. No problem here.
What TWRP did you use? Also, what ROM have you flashed?
Used the latest TWRP by MohanCM for Oreo. I did it when I was on Lineage os and wanted to go to stock
@guy_infinity Okay, thanks for your answer! Gonna try out later, once more.
Hmmm.... Still didn't boot up.
I thought I had to do everything from the begining, but flashing stock with save userdata option rescued me.
P.S. does anyone know about the error E: recv error on uevent?
try flashing stock rom using mi flash and after flashing restore normally using latest twrp/deadman's without system image voila everything will be back
@arjunbalan1994 Big thanks for your suggestion! Will try that too later
Hi, did you solve your restore problem? I have the same w/ my Redmi Note 5 and stock Miui backup after flashing RR.
Thanks for your help
I was use 8.1 root and twrp recovery. Yesterday fastboot flash may rom and update 2nd may OTA
Don't understand : May rom is Miui rom?
And did you restore your miui rom 8.0 backup ith twpr after the fastboot flash stock?
Hey XDA. I have a question, I just got this phone and I was wondering how to flash properly? On my old phone I would just wipe everything in twrp and flash a new ROM, but when I wipe in twrp on this phone all my files get encrypted including the ROM that I'm trying to flash on this OP6T, any help would be appreciated

Can't help you with the root but searching does help. Search a guy on YouTube name techibee he had a good video. But one plus has a backup so if you mess up one boot partition you have the other to correct easier. Basically a backup so your phone boots and not bricks

Flash magisk
