Hello,
i want to know if our Z supoorts the Quick Charge 1.0 technology. Because I hate it to wait about 3 hours before my Z is full. Actually im using a 2A Charger by Samsung, but it isn't really faster than the orginal charger? Has our phone a Charge Limit at 1.5 A?

If you want something like that so you need custom kernel that support it. But if you fast charge the phone it will fast drain too!:silly:

Use the default or original charger that came with the phone, not samsung's.. Then your phone will charge faster.. Mine takes like 1 and half hr to get to 5-80% and then another hour max to get to 100%.. I have seen the actual time it takes to go to 100%.. Its like 2.15-2.30 hrs.. Its never crossed 2.30 hrs..
using charging dock: from 30% to 100% - 71-75min
using microUSB: from 30% to 100% - 77-80min
using car charger: from 30% to 100% - 75-90min
using my old LG charger: from 30% to 100% - 70-75min
I set low battery power saving in stamina to 30% so i always charge it when it turn off all options. I dont use my phone in this time so screen/wifi is off, I have only one app in white list in stamina mode and LTE/NFC turned on all the time.(stock 4.3 ROM)
so its really weird that you need to wait 3h to charge your phone... maybe something is "sucking" your battery?
Maybe you have low network coverage? and phone use loots of energy to maintain network?

Yes, it charges crazy fast. The phone is cold as ice while charging, I'm not sure how you concluded it's harmful.
It's fast because it uses high amps 1.8 to 2.1

The charge is amazing fast, and the discharge is nice and slow!! I love that about my G2.
Does it charge fast only with the original charger or is it the same time with galaxy s4 charger too?
I didnt try i just charge orginal charger which is 1,5 A i have htc charger and it is 1 A i will try it.

the galaxy s4 charger is 2A so maybe it will be faster
Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 is built in to the Snapdragon 800 chip.
From what I've gleaned on the net, even without a charger specifically designed for Quick Charge 1.0, the previous iteration of this technology built into the S3 for example, there is a reduction in charge time. So it might stand to reason that Quick Charge 2.0 would have an improvement in charge time even if the charger supplied isn't a Quick Charge 2.0 spec charger. The two systems, 1.0 and 2.0, are interchangeable compatible, just that a 1.0 device won't get the 2.0 chip benefit from a 2.0 charger. You get the idea.
Apparently 2.0 chargers will be available in early 2014.
So this is at least partially what is driving the fast charge times on the G2, AFAICT.
first i have note 3 LTE N9005
My battery will show 100% after charging. When I take it off the charger, the battery level drops to 99% after 2 or 3 minutes
is it a problem in the rom or the charger or the usb cable or this is the normal ???
thnx

battery takes a little more time after 100% make sure to charge it till its full.
But if it gets to 99% when your phone is in use then its normal.

Directly after unplugged (after Message BATTERY FULLY CHARGED) Then unplug and directly plug in again, wait for Message BATTERY FULLY CHARGED.... and again and again
But....if it works....one or few days later you will have the same issue again [emoji16]
I ignore it after Samsung changed my Battery

No, I don't think that is a battery problem. Maybe a Software Problem in the Charging electronic or just a wrong information.
Sorry, bad English, maybe can't explain correctly what I mean [emoji16]

charge until 100%, unplug your phone, switch it off, plug the charger and charge for 5 to 10 minutes. Unplug the charger, turn the phone on, plug the charger back for another 5 to 10 minutes.
Actually, guys, the reason for this is completely different.
Modern smartphone charging works like this - the battery is charged at high rate until 80-90%. At that point, the charging rate (how much current is directed to battery) is decreased to avoid overcharging. When battery is fully charged, the charging process is stopped until the battery level drops to about 95%. Then charging process is restarted.
The lowered percentage happens if you unplug during the so-called pause in charging. Android itself may still show 100% in the first place, but then shortly after decreases to the real amount. It is just the way modern batteries are built and there is no way to fix it.
Besides, does the 2-3% of battery really matter that much?

I have 2 device note II and note 3.
But my note II have larger charging current than my note 3.
Note II 1800mA vs Note 3 1200mA
Note 3 have larger battery capacity, so why have smaller charging current?
Is it normal or my note 3 usb cable need to replace?
Charging power is controlled by the Controller. Depending on charging level, and maybe other things.
If your screen is on and maybe at high brightness, the Charging power is up to 1200 mA.
Switch Screen of or reduce the brightness and test it for a longer time, it should charge at 1800.
Let your Charging Power Test App run and wait more time, then check again.

I always use low brightness on both device.
And I already test my note II even when i run a game charging current constanly shown 1800mA
You can't compare the both devices!
Both Charger have 2 A. Okay!
But...
Note 3 needs more power if it's on, because....
Bigger Display
Full HD
Bigger CPU
......
all needs power and the rest is for charging the battery ☺
I'm not a Samsung technical!
But in my car it's the same.
If you drive with all electronic equipment on (AC full, lights, seat heating, Window and mirror heating,......) the Battery will charge at lower power from the alternator.

Recommend Tronsmart qc2.0 chargers, They are qualcomm certified, and featured quick charge brand.
I just bought a tronsmart QC charger for my car. How do I know if quick charge is working though? It just displays charging still...

On stock, it'll display turbo power connected. If cm, use Ampere from the play store
Hmm OK well I don't think the one I bought is really a quick charger unless my car simply doesn't put enough power out?! It only displays charging and I'm on stock.

Check using Ampere in market.
Charging time
Hi Guys does ant tested how much time it is taking to fully charged from 0%.
Does any one have turbo 25 charger if yes how much it is taking to fully charged with that turbo 25 charger.
I have the same question as sandeep,
how long does the turbo need to charge the bat?
Does the Turbo charger simply has more power than standard chargers, or is there anything else special or proprietary?
More amperage,my turbo charger is 2.4a, whereas standard ones are 1a I believe
There's more to it than just straight amperage in the charging circuit, here is a good explanation of it
http://www.androidauthority.com/quick-charge-explained-563838/
The newer fast charge systems use a stepped system to always give the most amps the battery can take for any given situation. There is actually 3 systems right now (I hate when everyone can't agree)
There is Quick Charge 2.0 (QC 2.0) used by Moto & HTC, 2nd the new USB-C connector has its own spec for fast charge but unfortunately a lot of the USB-C coming on newer devices are only using the old USB 2.0 spec - so no fast charge available. Last but not least One Plus has their own unique fast charge spec.
From what I have read if you have a good USB cable (one designed for charging) and you have USB adapter capable of at least 3.0 amps it might trigger the QC 2.0 circuit in the phone to go into turbo mode but it is not a given fact, more like trial and error.
The phone needs more than 5 hours to charge fully. The quick charger is a must have i my eyes.
I'll order the TurboPower™ 15 now.

Hi all,
I just installed cm13 on my oneplus 2.
I began charging the devices and it shows about 8 hrs to full charge (with the stock charger).
I changed the charger to a faster quick charge and still the device is slow charging.
Is there any fix? Or I have to go back to stock..
Cheers Gur
Oneplus 2 doesn't have Quick charge.
You have bug in Rom or somthing wrong with Your Phone.

8 hours? Yeah you definitively got a problem dude. One thing to know, if you use your phone while is charging, it will charged slowly. Try to leave 2 hours without touching it (twitter, facebook, whatsapp, viber, etc, they all have web equivalent) and see. But if it still continues like this, yeah, trying go back to stock.
Before cm13, it charged my phone in about 2hrs.
Change kernel to like boeffla or ben's then raise charge current. Stock values suck for some cable n adapters, especially USB charging dead to like 50-150ma. After raising I get about 750-1000ma on USB which is reasonable

This is the data I get when I charge the phone
Sorry can't load the picture I took.
I had this the first time that I've tried the cm13, than goes back to Oxygen and after some time when tried again, the charge time was the same of oxygen. Yesterday tried the vanillaos and again charge time to slow, so I assume that when you see this, have to make again a full wipe and reinstall the rom
