HI All,
I've been googling for it and looking here with no results.
I have purchased a brand new SM-G900F and I noticed an app in google play called "Plugin:SAMSUNG v2.0".
I cannot remove it, it was preinstalled on the phone and I can't even lauch it (or don't know how).
From what I understand it's for remote control of my phone.
So the question is: Do you know some more info about this app?
And more important: Is it legit?
I'm quite confused.
Any info would be much appreciated.
Cheers!
Its a remote support service....i jus uninstalled updates

Thanks for the reply.
I did not install the update for this app, but if Google Play wants to update it, doesn't it mean, that the app is already installed and there is a newer version available?
Yea....id think ud need to root do uninstall it completely

Hi everyone. I have a little but frustrating Problem with my galaxy. My phone came with some preinstalled apps like adiko ebook, layar, google maps...
To keep them updated I reinstalled them using the market. They were all recognized (a message warned me that the market version would subsitute the preinstalled one), but google voice search. Now I have two separate voice search installations running. One is version 1.4.0 and the other is 1.4.6 (it's fiom the market). Is there a way to resolve this issue? Thanks.

Another question would be how can i update it?
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
just uninstall the one that you don't want
or uninstall both, then only install the version that you want
some ROM apps, can only be removed after you Root the phone
I think that this is the case, cause I can remore only the one I installed from the market. The preinstalled one it's not even listed in apps management.
Thanks.

Currently I have lookout (free version) installed, however I do not use it for the security, but rather for the feature where you can track your lost phone on google maps. Basically, all the security apps just scan the installed apps against a list of apps that are known to be malicious, and warn you if it finds one. Some of the paid security apps also have browser protection... but to me that's not worth $5. So, they're not really necessary however some have other useful features...
I use lookout also on my galaxy tab

I am currently using the basic version which is simply called Mx Video Player...
Recently a ''Pro'' version was released and I was prompted to install it.
However when trying to do so it fails to install.
Even when manually downloading the apk from the internet and transfering it, it fails to install. I tried 3 different versions, same problem.
My questions is WHY does the standard version install & work fine yet the pro version does not?
Anyone else had this issue or a similar issue?
I have no problem installing and using the purchased pro versions on my two android phones, including the Galaxy Note.

This is strange... Even when trying to pay for the pro version I had problems.
Could you give me a link of where you purchased your pro edition of MX video player from?
Lastly, what's the actual difference between the free and pro version? Thanks.
Maybe u should delete free version and try...

Lol, dunno why I didn't try this before! As you mentioned it worked fine once I uninstalled the free version...
However I can see no difference whatsoever between the basic and the pro version, even the menu appears to be the same.
Perhaps the free version has ads and the paid version is ad free?
Thanks for the suggestion.

Sweet ! Also for you ladies and gents that don't know they brought it back But looks like it's only from within the device Play Store App, just touch the little circle with the line through it and its gone from your list of apps!
Removed 50 delinquent app's or so from mine!
Sorry if this is recent common knowledge I just was asking awhile ago and was told that this doesn't exist!
What are you talking about?

No! click that option and it never shows up in your Play Store history again, unless you install it again.
Each time you install an app or install a custom ROM with the ROM creators apps of choice it adds those apps to your play store list of app's! and they don't go away, and if you change ROMs and or try an app your list grows and grows whether you use the app or not it was always there in your list now you can clean those unused apps or unwanted apps out of your list so if you try a lot of ROMs you don't have to weed through all those app's!
I have 12 App's that I install and use, but 50 that I've tried and came on ROMs that I've tried now I have only 12 app's in my Play Store app history instead of 62 apps!
It is a list of apps that you have or had installed, so when you start from a new rom or a full wipe you can go to play store and look at the list to see which app you had installed earlier

Sweet! I already was wondering what to do with the large amount of garbage of previously tested and disgarded apps I would not like to be reminded of again... This is exactly what I needed.
Thanks for telling this. +1 Thanks from me!

I know what it is and can be useful for but when I have to look at all the free versions of stuff iv'e tried then purchased the full app for example XDA-Developers free app and XDA Premium oh great now I got to buy XDA PremiumHD.....lol, all in my list but I only want 1, now I do!
I wasn't aware of this functionality until this thread, so thanks! Now I have removed all those 'old' and 'trial' installs cluttering up my installed list!

I would recommend you Avast. In my opinion it's the greatest one, easy to use, high protection and some cool features.

antivirus apps on android are pointless. the only good that a few do is help find the phone if lost or stolen. but as an antivirus they are useless.

Install Google Play services (automatically when log into Google Play Store), enable Verify Apps in Google Settings (automatically enabled), don't sideload apks, disable USB debugging, keep the bootloader locked, encrypt the phone storage, If needed use AFWall+ and LBE Security Master.
