Stock firmware flashing failed in odin - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi
I was trying to flash 3 ireland stock firmware on my sim free unrooted galaxy s5 g900f. Everything was going perfect but in the end odin gave an error saying invalid ext 4 image and since then my phone is stuck on an issue encountered during upgrade screen.
Any help will be highly appreciated.
Thanks

Try removing sim and ext sd, if you have one, this seems to work for some.

Did you shut down the phone, pull the battery and wait for 20 seconds? Then boot into downloadmode and flash the rom with Odin 3.09. Is Kies terminated in windows task manager?

No because not been nesesery for TOP rom. Kies not terminatet on task manager. Maybe need change Csc before flash NEE?

problem when flashing gs4 - odin stuck

hello, this is the first time i am posting on the forum so i dont know if the post is in the right place. i have a samsung galaxy s4 i9500 from mauritius. but it is infact a 4-core phone, i guess they modified it for distribution here. i download the pre-rooted rom from djembey for i9505 and tried to flash my mobile. the problem is that it gets stuck. At first it got stuck several times on setup connection but now it gets stuck at cache.img.ext4 and the phone will not even turn on. it says firmware upgrade encountered an issue and asks to recover using kies. can anyone here please help. i tried with different versions of odin and even changed my usb cable and tried on different usb ports.
my phone variant is i9500XXUAMDE
I think you are using the wrong firmware. You ideally should use i9500 not i9505. Both are different. Try using pre rooted i9500 or download the stock from sammobile and try flashing using odin

i am downloading a stock firmware to install back. But why is the flash process stuck on cache.img.ext4? im afraid it will still be the same even if i flash with an i9500 firmware.

If you have an i9500 phone you should flash a i9500 firmware.
It's not that hard really.

[Q] Which galaxy s4 i9505 ROM to chose.

Hello, im trying to reset my phone to stock, and while searching for stock rom it shows AT&T, Verizon versions etc... and nothing else. Where can i find stock rom for international i9505 which isn't bound to specific carrier.
P.S
I was trying to find it in samfirmware website, but there were only country/carrier specific verisons.
There are unbranded firmwares in samfirmware

You can only use that if you are running a stock ROM in the first place. Any type of modification to your device and kies will not recognise your phone. You need no binary count, stock recovery and stock ROM. Basically how was when you first took it out of the box. If you do install latest firmware you may well end up with the new bootloader and the e fuse security enhancement.

I ticked Re-Partition

Hello
I made a mistake, a ticked re partition while flashing... it stopped after 30 secondes, "FAIL"
The problem is that now I cannot flash any other firmware, even with re partition unticked...

Lost sound after flashing various modems

I'm baffled and have no idea what to do next
I flashed an mdj modem IIRC, and lost sound.
Running stable CM11
Current modem is MK6 currently.
I tried to flash through Odin back to stock but it failed twice - even though it was for my Rogers device 4.4.2
Im lost

Anyone know what the solution is?.
Do I need the stock kernel? Do I need to reflash modems?
If not and you guys think I need to Odin to stock can someone link me to the proper file and some steps?
I can't seem to ever get any stock roms to flash in odin

Odin can be finicky. Try different usb cables and ports. You should be able to get the firmware for your device at sammobile.com

It's not a connection port issue it's a Fail Auth when the stock firmware is almost done installing
Thank you for replying
