Hi,
Can you give some more details
Did you build from source?
Port it from another devices?
Simply unzip a ROM for your device, make changes and rezip?
When you flashed the ROM was it a status7 error?
You say you made changes in the updatet-script, what were the changes?
The more details you give the better answers you will get

Dude I took my base rom as the standard custom rom for xolo q700i- the x rom and I ported it with the galaxy Quattro stable cm... it had almost the same specifications........ I had updated the updated script of x rom by cm rom but then I used original updater script of x rom... This guide I took was from YouTube on porting and he was from XDA.....
So you took a ROM from a similar device, replaced some files, apks and libs, then changed some things in the updater-script and rezipped and signed?
Is this about right?
If so you will need to be a bit more specific about what you changed in order to help you fix your issue, again, the more specific the better your help otherwise I and others helping can only give the best guess on what to do

It being a bad file so i replaced the new meta inf file with the original meta inf file but i dont know now what will happen shuld i flash it .......(u can ignore this) i also had a question dat when u rezip with winrar should the zip file be normal or best mode .........it asks .........when we archive it .....(u can ignore this)

so dude yes it is the status 7 error regarding the build.prop ....... so i need help to edit my updater script so should i use the updater script of the base rom .........or do some major editing ...
Thanks for supplying more information, now I have a better idea of how to help.
You should use the update-binary for your device, not the one ported,
All editing of the updater-script will need to be done in UNIX format, not windows as EOL differs, if your using windows be sure to use notepad++ and set it up properly,
I use 7zip normally not winrar but it shouldn't matter, you need to have compression set to store,
It has been years since I have tried to make a ROM in this fashion but I don't think much would have changed, the point your at now is to get it to flash (not get the ROM to work) this means you need to fix the status 7 error, which will be done by fixing your updater-script
If you want, post a copy of the meta-inf folder for your device and the one you are porting from an I can help further

Thanks so much.......... Ur thnx meter is getting one more thanks
Dude should I replace the whole Meta in folder or only the updater script....
Take a meta-inf for your device and replace the updater-script from the other one and swap it. Then you'll more than likely need to edit it to flash on yours
Sent from my Nexus 4 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Sorry I didn't understand anything.... I just swapped the cm 11 meta inf file with the original meta inf file.....
Well you can't do this, you need to have the update-binary for your device specifically and you need to edit the updater-script to work with yours as well.
So keep meta-inf specific for your device, and only swap updater-scripts, then you need to edit this updater-script to match the partitions of yours as well as make sure there aren't any get_props that conflict.
I highly suggest reading up on updater-scripts so you understand the changes that need to be made

@demkantor has guided you very well.
U should take advantage of it.
I repeat once again.
get the update-binary from any other ROM specifically made for your device.
Then modify the existing updater-script.
Make sure Mount points are correct.
That's it.
USE NOTEPAD++ else surely if you would get status error.
Good luck

How do we port gingerblur since its a backup?
Sent from my MB525 using XDA App
Use CWM and install it as a naindroid backup. Still have to wipe and such. Put the zip file somewhere on your computer and unzip it. Then it goes into clockwork on your sdcard and in the folder backup. The folder you want if you look closley at it is really a date. that's what goes into the folder backup. Then install it like you were going back and installing a backup. Need more help just ask.
Is that OK for the defy rom?
Sent from my MB525 using XDA App
To my knowledge it's not a Defy rom but one for Bravo. It may work on Defy but I don't know if it will or not. I don't even know where the actual rom is that the backup came from. I did try it for about three days but I didn't really click with it. A little too.......underdeveloped?...no....Just too basic for me. I like to mod, and mod, and mod some more. I can't do modding with this one the way I like to. Always have to do a CWM update to mod since I don't have it as a real rom. That help you out any? There's got to be some kind of program or an app that'll take nandroid backups and make them into rom but I woulden't even try to run them on my slooooow a$$ computer.
Well there is a ginger blur ROM in the defy section and I wanted to use it on my bravo but it's a nandroid.

cd \paste path
Then type

How do i make a update script with all of thease(and any more if i missed anything ) and to mount data cache and the system as ext4?

As what my title says, how do i do it? The script most specifically is "Blazing Thunder". It doesnt state in the OP how to remove it. If you are asking why i am gonna remove it? Its because i plan to install a different but similar mod/script.
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE and GOOD DAY TO ALL!

Just locate that script using any root explorar nd delete it..
Mostly the scripts are in init.d folder

Then you will have to replace it with the originals
do it carefully , take a backup first .
another way would be replacing the files in the mod zip by original and then flashing it again by cwm .
the extra things you can remove

Nandroid is the backup you make through recovery
Okay. Well i have searched around several times and i can't seem to fine anything that on resizing CMs nav bar.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
You can't change it from within CM, but you can flash different mods in recovery (like the one posted above) to change it manually.
Ill be honest if You dont know what a nandroid is you may want to take some time and do some basic research before you end up bricking your phone. Messing with the OS of a device is NOT fool proof. Things can go wrong and then you are stuck with a non working device that you cant return.
Ok just learned what nandroid is and so i guess the next step is to nandroid backup my phone and then flash the mod from the link right?

You probably didnt do anything wrong, its just that the mod didnt work lol.
Try out this tutorial. It should work, but its a bit of work.
These are the lines that you have to change:
Code:

<dimen name="navigation_bar_height_landscape">[COLOR="red"]38.0[/COLOR]dip</dimen>

Anyways this is basically what you have to do(may require some other searching):
-navigate to system/framework and copy the framework-res.apk to your computer
-decompile framework-res.apk
-in the decompiled folder navigate to /res/values/ and open the file named dimens.xml in a text editor
-edit the lines that I posted above to your liking
-recompile framework-res.apk and push it back to the phone. Also make sure the permissions are set to rw-r-r

-Make a nandroid backup just in case
-Download an root file manager. I would recommend root explorer (paid), but there are other free ones like es file explorer.
-Copy the framework-res.apk from your computer to your phone. (just use the usb cable and transfer it over using MTP)
-Open the root file manager and copy the framework-res.apk from where you put it
-Navigate to system/framework and rename the existing framework-res.apk to framework-res.apk.bak
-Paste the new framework-res.apk
-Long press the new framework-res.apk and go to permissions and change them to rw-r-r
-reboot
yep I do that but as soon as I get done renaming framework.apk.bak the phone restarts and goes into boot loop.
I reflash CM10.1 and nandroid backup and everything is fine again. then I tryed just replacing framework but same thing happens.
ohh and mbucks911 the reason why I dont use AOKP is becasue my battery life with AOKP is terrible it causes my phone to run at around 38c which is warm enough to make my hands sweat and my battery drains 10% for every 10mins my screen is on. when I use CM my phone barely gets over 30c and operates around 27c for every and 10% of my battery thats almost 2 hours of sot thats why i am trying to stick with CM.

Try using adb to push it.
Code:
adb remount
adb push \path\to\framework-res.apk /system/framework/
adb reboot
I installed all apk found under system/framework with apktool.
*framework-res.apk & another apk
Then decompiled Settings.apk of Xperia pro stock ics Rom.
After that ,without making any change I compiled the apk. Then I surprisingly noticed that the size compiled apk is 1/3 of original stock settings.apk .
Then I flashed the apk using cwm to my phone to test if it work .after flashing, the setting icon is invisible in launcher menu !
Plz anybody tech me how decompile and re compile stock settings.apk of Xperia pro properly..
