Need Help as well
I attempted to root my S4 by Aio, SGH-I337Z using the methods for the AT&T version and both failed. Its currently on the MH1 firmware.

Sadly it was never rooted by @garwynn was looking into it a while back, I think. I'm not sure if it was achieved or not but I have something you and other aio device owners can try!
Try the kango root method. Its a one click program that worked on att latest firmware.

I just got this phone today, and Kingo didn't work. It says something about a file not found. Really bummed. Google isn't finding anything of any help.

thats the same version (1.0.8) that was initially posted. the download link automatically grabs the latest release. :good:
As I posted on the main Kingo thread, new version released today. And it worked for me. Give it a try.

Im sorry if theres another thread or info for these questions, but I havent been able to find them. I have the i337z its unlocked and rooted. Couple of questions. 1. can I upgrade to kitkat yet? 2. I cannot wifi tether, how can i achieve that. 3. If i use a custom rom will i be able to use the tether and if so...which one is recommended. Thanks in advance!

Here, works for both SM-T230 and SM-T230NU (you said you have the second one)
Alternatively, different guide but same method if I understand correctly

Try Kingroot app first, the latest version. If it fails( it wont for sure. Internet connection is neccessary) then try pc version of kingroot
