I have a Note 3 and suddenly out of nothing the keyboard changed template and instead changing languages by long pressing+sliding the space bar it now shows a globe icon wich must be pressed to select the language.
I have already messed with all possible settings in order to go back to the space bar method wich is much faster with no success.
I know it worked on the space bar way until a few days ago, and I see there was a Samsung Keyboard Update wich was installed.
Have someone here the same issue ? Anyone knows if it is possible to go back to the previous behavior ?
Thanks for any help on this.
Me too having same problem
I actually got the swipe for different language. but all of a sudden the globe appeared. i seriously dont know what i did. tried resetting keyboard settings. nothing works. thebutton takes spaceand irritating while typing.
Same here, it working fine. but suddenly have globe icon and everything mess up... then few days lster, keyboard suddenly back to normal and everything is fine again. This happened couple times and each time it last few days. Anyone know why and how to solve this permanently? Thanks for your help. ..

OK so I noticed that when I turn off the accessibility of my Pebble app (I have a Pebble watch) under settings, I can swipe the spacebar to change the input language but right when I turn on the accessibility of my Pebble app, I can no longer swipe the spacebar. Anyone have any ideas why this is happening?

Thank you luckybun.
It worked for me, only the accessibility setting was for FBQuickview (that works with the Galaxy Gear). I disabled it under the accessibility setting and the spacebar started working again as a language changer.

OK! But...
I have 7 apps in accessibility list... And I DO want to use at least 4 of them...
Wristn - forwarding notifications to Sony SmartWatch
LastPass - filling passwords inside apps
NiLS Service - collect notifications in lock screen similar to iPhone
Desktop Notifications - forward notifications to browser plugins for Chrome and Firefox for displaying it at desktop
if I enable any of them, spacebar disables language switch function
I solved the issue by deactivating the Speed+ engine under Accessibility
Hey everyone.
days ago I was able to change / swipe between languages by space key but now I have a new button on my keyboard as for changing language and it's icon is like a world globe!!!
Can anybody tells me how it make it like before??? I.e. changing language by space key.
I even did a reset in keyboard settings but no help!!!

Well I have found my answers thought to share with you all.
I have go locker in my phone and it has a need of being activated in accessibility 》service.
Making this app active there took this function away from me. Weird but um anyways!!!!

Im in messages, and everyrhing is fine, but I must've done something or other because now all my hideous mistakes are not being corrected.
When I searched this, it said I need to turn on "auto complete" or "correct" , but I dont have those options, and I do have predictive text tuened on. This is a tmo note 3 with wicked rom. Any ideas?

Language and Input from settings menu, choose which Keyboard you use then enter it's settings.
Thanks. The only setting I have that fits the bill is predictive text and thats already on. Also I noticed that when I select help, I get an error message saying the samsung keyboard has stopped working.

It's possible that help (user manual has been disabled/removed from the ROM) hence the FC - Turn predictive text on, then off and back on again, see if that fixes it.
Oh ok. I just thought it was strange because the green check over the Samsung keyboard is dim.
I just tried turning it off and on, but still nothing.

You can either try asking the dev of the ROM, or a reflash and see if that fixes it. Aside from that I am out of ideas.

Select two or more language and be sure that you saved and selected the languages, then in keyboard slide your finger on the space button either left or right to select the next language selected in your settings.
Hit "Thanks button" if this helped you.

There is a problem with your firmware .
Your firmware is damaged! You better update our flash a new firmware.
Its a problem with accessibility options. If you have installed greenify for example will cause this problem. Try removing any apps from accessibility or use another keyboard.

idon't have the option to change language on the spacebar key (no arrows on both sides)
i do have selected 2 languages or 3 on inputs but no change !!
anyone else have this problem ?
Go to settings>accessibility
and then scroll all the way down and turn off all the services. Test the keyboard again.
Reenable each service to determine which one caused it.
Fyi, greenify is one culprit.
