Hi,
Currently I have a i337 galaxy s4 which I am using with tmobile sim card. I made it unlocked by ATT before I switched to tmobile. It has baseband UFNI1 and Android 4.4.2 installed. I managed to get it rooted using the Odin software, so I can use the tethering with the tmobile.
Now I am trying to find a way to use the Wi-Fi calling. I searched it a lot and figured out that I need a tmobile rom installed but it quickly got very confusing. It looks like what you need to do also depends on what android version you are using. For some you need safestrap, change the kernel for some you don't. For some you have Wi-Fi issues and need to change the modem etc.
So, I am trying to find the easiest and safest way that will make the Wi-Fi calling work. I don't necessarily need the very latest android version or the fancy custom roms etc,I only need something that will work without any issues. I am perfectly fine with a tmobile stock Rom if that's the most convenient way.
So,I would really appreciate if someone can help me on this. It would be great to have a set of noob friendly instructions. Thanks a lot.

Hi There,
Were you able to root your device for Wifi Calling. I followed the instructions of http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...nvert-i337-to-m919-wifi-caling-t2896719/page6 and went into the same issue. After TMOBILE stock rom, the phone does not boot. I was able to install the first rom and then able to get onto the latest version and able to use phone again with AT&T latest software update (android 5.0.1). Actually, this is the version I have when I started rooting.
If you find any solution, please let me know as I am on the same boat with you on installing TMOBILE ROM using the other thread.
thanks
Ram
You cannot install a T-Mobile stock ROM to an AT&T device. Samsung has safeguards in place to prevent it. You would need to root and then install a custom ROM, which on an AT&T is difficult to do with its encrypted bootloader.
However, this is not the appropriate location to ask this. Questions related to AT&T devices belong in the AT&T S4 forums.
Hi,
I am trying to flash the Galaxy S5 Stock ROM by @jamal2367 and am having some trouble. I do a full wipe and am able to flash the ROM successfully, however my mobile network doesn't work once it's flashed. I am able to connect via Wifi and the ROM seems awesome...I'm even able to download all of my apps and sync my Google account on it. When I try to text, make calls, etc. I don't have the service to do it, though.
I am currently running the PAC-man 4.4.4 ROM. I have a Note 3 through Sprint. Model number is SM-N900P, Baseband version is N900PVPUCNC5. Do I need to do something different with any of this? My bootloader? Any help is very much appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Scott
You should try the S5 port on the Sprint section of the Note 3. I believe it's made by Sac?
Thank you! I know...seems obvious now but that never even crossed my mind.

Currently I am running dirty unicorn. It works fine. A few hiccups but can deal with them.
I have installed a few other rooms but basically data doesn't work.
Darklord I can make calls and receive texts but can't send texts or get mobile data. Otherwise phone seems to run fine. Is there anyway I can copy files from DU to Darklord to get texting and data working?
I'm not sure what all files would be need. I found a few in build prop with apn info.
Also dom pop runs but no calls, data, text. I know development is ended here. Apn do not stick when set manually.
Cm for some reason shows my phone as tmobile not Verizon when I try to flash verizon and fails. If I flash tmobile it runs but again no service.
I'm also on 4.3 baseband I think. I'm okay with DU but would really like to try S6/n5 ports as a daily driver.
Please any advise would be appreciated?
Darklord partially runs on my SM900v developer edition (DE, Verizon). I can make and receive phone calls and receive texts, but I can't send texts or get data. I tried change APN manually but there is no option to do so (at least that I found). I am on baseband 4.3 I believe. I would like to try so get it fully up and running on my DE if possible, but don't necessarily know where to begin. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I am currently running Dirty Unicorn, so I am thinking I can pull some folders/files/buildprops from that ROM or Jasmine.
FYI, I don't mean to offend any developer and appreciate their great hard work, just trying to get it running on my VZW DE edition. I have no problem donating after up and running and will not repost, but will share with the developer.
Got it running on darklord note 5 rc 2.1. I selected the 900t and flashed as normal. Turned mobile data and it works. I can make calls and receive texts. I have received a call yet. Will test and report back.
HOWEVER, I still cant send texts. Any ideas what to do?
Are the APN settings correct?
No. According to what i found on verizon and other pages they arent. But when i try to change it, it does not stick.
Then add a new APN, don't change the existing one. Kids... :sly:
I have tried to change and add manually. It does not save either. I have said that in other posts above. I have also tried a slimapn.zip of verizon apns which adds new ones but that still doesnt work. I am going to try telephony.db and see if that works.
Borrowed
Will borrow this post so I dont open a new one.

So i have fully domestic unlocked l720 however i have a problem where if i turn on wifi my service bars stay on but i can not recieve or call other people its as if i have no service. Also it likes to drop randomly. Its over just unstable wether i use stock rom or http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-sprint/general/od2-domestic-unlock-t3116542 custom ROM. I find it is slightly more stable on OD2 then it is on kit kat so i decided to stay on that for now. I've tried custom roms to see if it produce more stability but utimatly it cause more problem as in not getting service at all. Or getting service but no wifi. I've tried the unicorn rom and wicked mod. Has anyone found a way to get a stable connection on the l720 on ATT? Atm i just tried to install some other roms but it didn't work out well for what ever reason. My best bet been stock firmware. When i get service and everything to work on a custom rom it says this when i call "sorry you phone has no been ativate"blah blah blah. This is easily fixed if i could get APN settings to work on custom roms but it seems it just likes to **** up. I was told by FAQ on wicked that the modem works properly on it. however it dosen't exactly. Atleast for ATT of course. I'm partly a newbie to this type of stuff but i understand the gist and i consider my self pretty tech savvy so if you a complex solution to this please enlighten me <3
