What would happen if I Wirelessly Charge & have it plugged in?
would the phone blow up? lol

Most likely the hardware has built in systems to prevent over charging, but feel free to experiment and report back ;D

Nexus 5 forums are saying the plugged in charging takes over and stops the wireless charging

Here is thread in case anyone else is interested. I wonder if Galaxy S5 handles it differently or if it's an android thing

Who knows..try it

The hardwire charging takes priority and turns off the wireless charging flow.

Phone shuts off and can't turn back on unless plugged

Hey guys,
Recently my phone will shut off even when I have a lot of juice left and it won't turn on unless I plug in the charger. Anyone else experience this or now a fix. Don't wanna have to send in my phone. Thanks in advance

Sounds like a battery issue, if you have a spare battery try using that and see if it powers on without being plug-in to ac adapter.

+1, I'm pretty sure a Hero or TP2 battery will work..
I'd just go to Sprint and swap it for another
Yup..battery
gotanykush, was this in fact a battery issue? I am having the same issue I think. My phone is an Epic Touch 4G,

Lock ups.

Has anyone ran into an issue where about 5 minutes after you plug your phone into the charger the phone locks up? Mine has done this now three times i think. I think it is something to do with the phone already being hot then plugging it in is making it hot enough to lock up or something. I dunno

Its a sanyo 800ma charger. Didn't think about trying the included charger to see if it still does it. Will try that

Give it a shot, see how that turns out. Some chargers can have poor voltage control (wouldn't expect that problem from a Sanyo), others are actually wired differently. Please post to let us know what the answer was.

rofl wtf is it rhetorical question or what ?xD
Im not sure what you normally experience when you plug the phone in... But charging is the usual outcome

I don’t have a clue!I haven't met this kind of case
I think he/she was having problems with charging, did a wipe, rebooted twice and now it works... This person would like to know if anyone else experienced the same problem. Maybe try thinking about what the poster was asking before you answer with sarcasm...

I don't understand. The title clearly says that I am having problem on charging.
Anyways, it refused to charged. Randomly opened car navigation app and voice control app and stopped charging. But its charging now.

Hmmm, just tested this myself. I plugged in the charger but it's been on 43% for 10 minutes now. Gonna dig a little here..
Try to wipe the battery stats.

It's solved. Plugged it into the wall and it's charging just fine now

Charging/not charging problem

For the last two days, my Nexus 4 has been charging weirdly. I leave it to charge overnight and when I wake up its at (usually) 78%. When I go to the battery stuff in the settings it switches between charging and not charging. It's back and forth. Has anyone seen this?

I've seen this on mine when connected to a computer. I was using a 10ft cable from Monoprice.
When using shorter cables it worked fine. Might just be a bad cable.

I`m using the stock charger and cable....never had problems till yesterday
I'm also using stock cable and charger. I used a tooth pick and pushed lightly the shelf to the left. It seems to have worked. If it does it again I'm rmaing.

Any idea about how to charge it, then? Do I need to buy another or just use a spare charger?

There is a mechanism in place to prevent overcharging while off.

Yep, I think it's supposed to stop at 95%.
