I'd definitely be interested, not sure whether the effort is worth it so close to a possible new Android release (Nvidia may push it?).

I love sony. I love Nvidia. What i did since getting my tab today is, update it to the end and then pull up the walkman to work on it. and then been downloading games. Have been developing for Xperia. haven't uploaded much though. I have a bit of experience. So i can help

I think that the main mod will be a custom kernel with more scheduler and more option.
Sorry for my English

Will try that once i get time. Working on an application and my projects are on top priority right off the top of my head!

That would be greatly appreciated.

Would be great !
What is the application on what you're working?

Tbh I was going to start playing with custom builds a while ago for this. But nvidia have done a pretty decent job on the build as it is, and I don't like fripperies , so there wasn't much of significance I could add to it. But always interested to see what others do, so go for it

The Tab as long as i have used it, Just amused me. Nothing less! I didnt find anything out of reach. This device is a beast. Ill see if there is anything the device actually needs!

Hi srcharged, You're wellcome on this forum.:good:
For sure.... I think no one will tell you the reverse. There are so few ROMs available and all based on original Nidia ones.
To say it all, for me, the most important for a new ROM are :
1 - Very light ROM. I hate all these supercharged ROMs with unecessary bloatwares just to make it fun.
2 - Not breaking the fundamentals of the tablet (stilus, GPS, Accelerometer, cover detection, ...).
3 - AOSP or CyanogenMod compatible.
For me, Lollypop is not mandatory since I had to test this new OS on other devices and I was very disapointed to say it at last.
BTW, nice to see new skilled people coming from others forums.

Try it. You will be blown away. Videos On youtube do it no justice.
Latest version, and official ROM is so good. Why don't you guys try it
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Or-9T44Bt7M
Shouldn't this be in the general forum if you're not actually developing it?
Yeah Im just posting the news. Never been to the general forum part sorry and I didnt know.
Just wanted to fill people in!
So yes it should be moved to the SGS2 General forum
The link to the ROM you posted was from July 9th...
Anyways, moving this to General.
The link is to the miuiandroid build, from the 21st, and that is not official?? I don't believe they are releasing the official until another 2 hours or so?

I used to wonder the same myself. To me it just looked like Android with an iPhone interface.
However I tried it and found things like...
toggles in the notification screen (configurable)
battery stats that go into a LOT of detail (configurable)
full skinning that allows you to mix and match theme elements on the fly (configurable)
built in call/sms firewall (configurable)
built in application security w/password (configurable)
They're just off the top of my head. There's so much more that it does above and beyond regular Android. Other than the configurable toggles in the notification screen (swipe left/right from notifications to get to a full screen of toggles) I've not seen anything that you can't do with apps, but it's all there and all works together.
Also, in my opinion it has the best browser available for Android.
There's more, but I guess you're getting that it's very configurable

this is the link to the download. but MIUI said on their fb they are uploading one by one and as of now the rom for s2 is still not up... =) fortunately i know a bit of chinese.
its been there since coupla weeks if am not wrong. and yeah they have weekly releases.
as far the MIUI port and builds out for SGS2 , I have tried a few and the general thing is battery life is not as good as sammy ROMs, battery stats are totally wrong (its a known issue). FM and Bluetooth work now.

You just got thanked! (accidentally)
The official rom is being released as we speak on the Chinese miui website... But that's in Chinese so we will all have to wait a day or 2 until miuiandroid translate it into english... But yes this is official support, and hopefully fixes alot compared to the .21 release...
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
The webiste is showing the S2 development rom for download. Only problem is, it doesnt give any info on installing this rom!
Does it have to be flashed via Odin?
ZIP placed on SD and Installed via CWM?
Do we Wipe any of the cache's?
Is data stored or everything deleted?
Anybody got the answer to these questions?

Thanks for the link. Personally, as long as my Nexus One gets ICS ROM, it doesn't matter to me who releases it.

"Does it have dedicated GPU" is the point that ruins the whole chart to me.
Did you ever see a PC powering up and showing something on the screen without any kind of GPU? And where was the screen connected to at that point?
The same applies for phones. Each SoC has its own GPU, good or bad, and such an item in the table makes it more of a joke.

well got a reply from CIWRL from CM team regarding that chart.
infact it was cwirl who made that chart
Ummm seeing as I made that chart....umm yea, that is the wrong conclusion:
Nexus One onboard RAM = 512 mb
Nexus One gpu = Adreno 200
So, you don't come to a solid 'no'; you get to 5-50% depending on if we can get libs for a similar chipset...
so lets hope for the best

I love how the chart says 512M or MORE. And yet the article says.
Long story short: if your Android device has 512MB of RAM or less (like the original DROID, Nexus One and pretty much everything from before summer 2010) you won’t be getting CyanogenMod 9 officially.

Reading. It's not hard. And as Jack says, what does "dedicated GPU" mean, all Snapdragon's have a GPU built in.
I'll be really surprised if there's no CM9 for the N1 at some point, but honestly folks, it's two years old...

Blackrose is used right now because /system is too small for ICS and the default apps, but you can minimize the apps in /system and it works, right? Video editor etc.. I assume those can be installed as user apps?
Curious... Why won't people do that vs blackrose? My N1 isn't my primary device now (sadly, still miss its notifications. DON'T miss its touchscreen insanity in the car) but I still haven't tried ICS on it partly because of messing with hboot.

I tried the texas ICS rom, but I missed IA2SD from Medroid.
Unfortunately the HWA version is not as stable as the pre-hwa versions.
I get a lot of reboots from time to time. What I mean is that it's running a few days without reboots and then 2 reboots in one hour.

Agreed, your rom is quite good, I am pissed off at XDA nexus management tho, it's the second time they close the thread of the rom I am using in my nexus... they can kiss goodbye any further donation from me! (I mean the board not the developer...) I do think that developer and thread starter and rom poster, deserve a fair analysis prior seeing their thread closed... the nexus had only 2 active ics rom, we lost one and gained one today...
I wonder if camera preview will be fixed eventually, if not it's quite a deal breaker for me since my phone is my most important work tools and camera is a good part of this!

I've had an iPhone since about three months ago (because they were the only phones readily available to be bought used and without a contract), but have always kept up with Android. It doesn't seem like innovation stopped. What are we missing now? Cyanogenmod seems to be packed with innovative features, so does AOKP.
BTW, great signature.

I don't think any iPhone is in the works for omni at the moment
I felt what was missing was a team to implement ideas that have never been imagined by the average person, or have been thought of as to be "too difficult" to implement.
I feel this rom, and the team behind it, is the answer to this problem, which should open doors up in other teams, including cyanogenmod
And thanks

It WOULD be a feat to crack the iPhone's bootloader past the iPhone 3G and get Android booting on there, wouldn't it..?
So, the OmniROM will not just be another copy of another custom ROM? Now that it's being mentioned, I do feel like a lot of them just have the same features.Maybe that's why I'm not fully satisfied when I habitually flash new ROMS.

I work with someone who builds for the iPhone. I might get them to add omni support for it.
Omni is based on aosp (the stock source from google). From their patches are added to support an array of devices. Then new features are added. Seeing as it's a fairly new project (only been around 2 months), there aren't a lot of new features, however there are a few ones to note
They are adding true multi window support
The quick settings tiles are flipable
There see, so to be a new app called "OmniGears". I'm unsure about what exactly this will do, but it seems to contain rom specific settings
I hope this is enough to convince you this won't be a "copy of another rom"

[Q] CyanogenMod 11 for L3 E400

Some developer is interested in building the CM11 to L3?
The S3 Mini already has a stable rom, why not L3?
That cuz they have developers for mini s3 unlike LG e400 zero support for this device ....even cm9 roms have so many bugs that didn't fixed like camera bug and phone bug like no loud speaker
Hello mate am also a fellow l3 owner and guess what I've a few such threads myselfs. You can see one request thread in the same section as yours which is mine so take this as an advice from a bit more experienced person, i now pity myself for creating that thread or making any other similar threads or useless posts around the forum, it's no use - nobody cares and the thing i learnt recently is - "this just doesn't work the easy way" - you can't just make a post/thread then sit back and relax hoping for someone to pop up see your thread and make something up for us outta nowhere just for the satisfaction of doing so.
As far as your question is concerned even cm10 seems a wishful dream let alone cm11
so many thread like this, even cm9 is developed by cyanogen mod still has many bugs. dont dream to cm10 or cm11. seem to no stable rom except it base on stock rom

Launcher is the same as now. That's the all apps widget from one-layer mode, rather than the default app drawer from two-layer mode. I am already using mine that way.
Seems its gonna be a bit disappointing to see same old ui. Guess its time to buy a new phone.

SMH, you'd by a new phone because of the UI? LOL That's ridiculous. These phones all pretty much look the same. If you want a new UI then install Xposed and tweak it.
First of all,it's testing version, not the final.Lots of stuff missing, some will be added.Maybe lots of stuff you saw into this video,it's the friend's google accound. Not all of us hate this "bloatware".I actually love them, finding them very useful and of my liking, even mirror! That's why i decided not to use all those custom MM ROM our friends here created and wait for stock MM.Or Echoe ROM version.
I got this from the Zenfone 2 Reddit page: http://digitalconqurer.com/asus/asus-zenfone-android-marshmallow-6-0-update-rolls-out/ Apparently the 6.0 update is starting to roll out from today.

I got this from the Zenfone 2 Reddit page: http://digitalconqurer.com/asus/asus-zenfone-android-marshmallow-6-0-update-rolls-out/ Apparently the 6.0 update is starting to roll out from today.

will see, actually I don't think that we will get it till june...
Just 1.3 of memory in use, i like it!
Everyone worked themselves up for no reason. There was no indication that 6.0 was going to be anything special for this phone. We already have a doze-like feature, and Asus isn't going to discontinue all the features on their phone that they are actively developing. A big change in UI would make all the themes incompatible. I have no idea where anyone got the idea that they would change much. Lollipop works fine on this phone and because of the specs, specifically the screen, the battery isn't getting much better. 6.0 is incremental at best for this phone. Honestly, it's a waste of time outside of the security updates.

This article is including a PDF document which was sent by ASUS to the author, you can read it at: http://digitalconqurer.com/wp-conte...0-upgrade-for-its-smartphone-range.pdf?13cd39
I think it's official, we just need to wait a little more
This video seems fake. I think (and hope) that they'll change something in the UI, and the little things showed in the video are easily "fakeable" (I don't know how to say, so I use that word )

This turns out to be the beta version.
Making some popcorn, waiting for ****storm. It's getting ridiculous what people are expecting from this update
