I have a rooted n9005 that I bought from Brazil and use in the USA on Tmobile. It has 4.2 on it now, but I want to update to kitkat. Can I flash any version of 4.4.2, or will it turn on the region lock if I flash the wrong version? Thanks in advance.

If ur device is SM-N9005, it is an international unlock version of LTE Note 3.
As long as u flash N9005 firmware, u should be fine. Just check ur storage, is it 16gb or 32 gb. U have to flash the correct one. Yours I believe is 32 gb, only hongkong 9005 is 16gb.
And jdomadia is correct, N9005 never comes with 4.2 since day 1. I assume is typo error on ur post.

Thanks! You are both correct: it is 4.3. It is 32 GB. I will do N9005VJUEND1 since it is from Brazil and appears to have no phone company connected.

Hey everyone.
I'd like to ask what's the differences between the n900w8 and the n9000-n9005?
I live in Canada and I would like to buy the note 3 but the only model offered here is the n900w8 and I don't know if there is any support here or i can flash different roms/kernels etc.
If I can't I will order an n9005 from Europe or USA.
Thanks!

About N900W8
it s one of the LTE edition of Note3
it means thr s same support for it like N9005
But thr might be difference between date of update or something like this
but kernel version and ROM will be same unless firmware or some minor update
So don't worry about buying it
:good:

If it's the snapdragon model then it may be possible to use 9005 roms, I wouldn't bank on it too much though as there is obviously differences in kernels, modem and firmware though.
Has anyone tried flashing 9005 roms on 900w8 ?
Yes cause hardware is same but u will have same kernel but rom maybe different

Hi all,
I just bought N900A, but I am a bit confused.
What is what. I am in Europe. And my N900A have 4.3 version and it says there is no update.
In Europe I see usually 9000 & 9005 models.
Also, I see that N900A have different usb charger than I am used (some usb 3.0 charger)....Is this same on all Note 3?
What is the "exynos" version ?
Can anyone tell me how and which rom should I install for europe.
Give me as much as possible informations as you can guys
I am not a new in flashing or rooting, but I need a starting point
A starting point.
Ok. I understand. But is it possible to install ROM from the EU models on this N900A model ?
I see forum is splitted, but I really would like to have EU rom, and not the US one

No idea - as you said yourself, this isn't the right forum, so there's not much point asking here. You need to go here.

Try to answer some of your questions
- N900A is Note 3 for AT&T network. While N900 and N9005 are international models. N900 uses Exynos chipset from Samsung, while N9005 and N900A use Snapdragon chipset from Qualcomm.
- You can install firmware from EU models (N9005 model)
- Because you are now in the oversea region, you may not get the OTA update. You can, however, download the stock firmwares manually and flash using Kies or Odin. You can check for the latest firmware by installing Phone INFO ★Samsung★ app --> open and press Menu --> select 'Firmware Browser'.
So, all N9005 roms are ok for.my N900A? I am right not on 4.3
What are your experiences. Should I upgrade to 4.4.2?
Not all. AFAIK do NOT use firmware for N9005 Hong Kong (TGY) and Taiwan (BRI) regions. Other regions should be ok.
I personally still on stock 4.3.
I want to use europe version. Not the one for us 4.3 or 4.4.2 however. If it works

Hmm..I just now saw that you wrote two times same model...:S
N900A has a locked bootloader, which means NO CUSTOM RECOVERY OR KERNELS.

Hi all,
My rooted phone just broke, and i want it repaired. I don't know my original stockrom, and i don't know if it matters. I live in Denmark and i use 'Telia'.
Does it matter that it is the original, or can i just use one i find on the internet, as long as it is to i9505?
I have at ensurance on it, so it should be free, but if i use a not valid rom will it be?

Thank you very much!!
I will chose the option that can be rooted later (http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/31852/I9505XXUFNB9_I9505BTUFNE1_BTU.zip/)
Also, I am suddenly very confused. When I bought my phone, it was the Galaxy S4 (on the receipt and everywhere else). Now, in that website they call it GALAXY S4 LTE. Does the LTE make any difference? I double checked, and the model number I gave you is correct: GT-I9505

Hi ,
Is a S4 capable to use LTE data transfer ( better than 3G) also your model has qualcomm CPU , that is the model use in Europe , I have a S4 3G ( I9500) and uses exynos cpu
The I9505 is a S4 LTE

Hi guys.
I'm planning to buy Note 4 in my country, Turkey and they sell sth called N910CQ. I heard that they disabled 4G in that model. I'm not sure if it's about that or not because we don't have 4G here yet. My question is, is it ok to flash N910C stuff to N910CQ? I read that the only difference is CSC and I read that it's about Signals. Thank you.
I am using Note 4 N910CQ - Turkcell device running Russian Firmware (N910C). No issues at all. Device does support LTE unfortunately we don't have a LTE connection.
My phone's about screen says it's N910C not N910CQ

Oh great then! So we can flash kernels and roms for 910C. Do you know what are differences between C and CQ?
There is no differences between C and CQ. Q stands for Turkey nothing else. You can flash C rom to your device.
One thing you should pay attention is when you flash a C firmware instead of original CQ FW, model number shows N910C which makes easier to detect odin flashed firmware if you care about warranity. But anytime you can return to stock CQ with no problem.
So I was wondering if this is possible. My phone (A510F running lollipop 5.1.1) is locked to a carrier but I was planing on flashing an unbranded 6.0.1 (from Italy). Marshmallow will eventually come to my country but I just can`t wait anymore. Will flashing this firmware brick anything ?? I am well aware that the phone will remain locked to my carrier, since the lock has to do with the phone`s imei number, but is anything else going to be affected ? Anyone had a similar experience ? Your answers are really appreciated.
Bad idea, never flash unbranded firmware on a locked phone as it leads to all sorts of problems. Get turn phone unlocked first and then u can flash any firmware.

what about flashing flashing a unlocked note 4 ?

why would you ask Note 4 questions in A Series threads when the Note 4 threads are at least 10x more active? Besides, no one will know the answer here anyway.
