There is no answer to this question.
Only you can determined what the best kernel for your needs is. I suggest trying a couple out and seeing which one serves your purposes best. No one can tell you what the definitive 'best' is.

Yes and wrong section.
Well is it achievable? or do I have to guess?
It's achievable... Take a look in the original android development forum and there are kernels in there that allow u to OC...
I've got my s4 running up to 2.3ghz and it's reliable on mine but yours might be so stable..

To what end? It seems that these days people are treating android phones as pc rigs... Overclocking for the sake of simply doing so

I'm using ktoonsez kernel... Comes with its own tweak program which is easy to use... It's on the original android development thread as kt-sgs4 kernel.

I tried flashing that kernel and strange things started happening. The device started looping st the initial logo on boot. So I had to flash my rom again.

I'm creating this topic because there are currently no discussions regarding this particular model of the Galaxy s4 and I'm wondering if there are any roms that are compatible with this model besides the current cyanogen mod nightlies .

Also if someone could reply with direct attachments to the sch 970 stock firmware and kernel it would be greatly appreciated

My buddy had the same question. We both have looking for ROM for his U.S. Cellular Galaxy S 4 (SCH-R970) also and the only ROM we found was Cyanogen Mod Nightlies.
I just flashed the stock google edition rom 4.2.2 on my at&t galaxy s4. I installed the rom, then flashed the kt kernal, and then loki-doki. However when I turn on my device I get only a H instead of LTE. also I was youtubing videos of people who installed this and their about phone screen looks different from mine. Mine still indicates that it is a SGH-i337 while others show gt-i9505G when flashed onto an AT&T s4. Im new to all this stuff please help! ive attached a screen shot of what my screen currently looks like.
