My acer a500 currently will not boot past the logo. Restarting and holding down the volume button will let me get to Skrilax's boot loader, but when I try to boot into recovery I'm greeted by an incapacitated android and a floating red exclamation point. Unfortunately, I'm not sure how to further diagnose the problem to find a solution or simply reset it to a factory default (at least, not without access to recovery).
Had worked fine with no issues.

When in this screen, hold vol- and tap vol+ at the same time. This will put you into your stock recovery.
Hi!
I have an unlocked bootloader & root with CWM.
The 4.4 OTA update became available with my phone so i installed it and now it is stuck on a boot loop. I understand that this can sometimes happen, and i'm cool with returning to stock. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2010312
However, i am having trouble switching off my phone because my power button and volume buttons have become unresponsive. Is there any way for me to boot into recovery using terminal? I'm on a mac.
Right now i cannot do anything because it's just stuck on that infuriating screen. Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks!
Hello Nexus 7 community,
Today my brother complained to me that his Nexus 7 (2012) was stuck on the new KitKat boot screen. I suggested he let it sit. Fast forward an hour and it was still stuck at the boot screen, so I held the power button down and it shut down. But now the tablet can't get past the "Google" splash screen and becomes stuck in a boot loop there. I can get into the bootloader with ADB and fastboot, but when I select "Recovery mode," the top right corner of the screen says "booting failed" and I am given the option once again to choose recovery mode, start, power off, or reboot bootloader.
So I'd like to ask if there was any alternate way to get into the recovery by bypassing the bootloader. I figure I might be able to re-sideload the JWR66Y-to-KRT16S OTA.zip to fix the issue. Otherwise, I don't know where to turn. This is a locked, non-rooted device, and I'd prefer not to have to wipe the data.
Thanks!
Hi all,
I have an issue with my D802 int LG G2.
I attempted to flash the 4.4 update from this thread via CMW recovery however part way through the install, the phone turned off and tried to restart.
As a result, the phone now only shows the LG logo and the LED changes colour constantly.
I cannot seem to get it to boot into a recovery mode, nor download mode..
Any ideas? I've had a search around but there doesn't seem to be too much help..
FYI, I can access the 'hard reset' menu by holding Vol - and power twice on boot, but that seems about it.
Looks like i've managed to resolve the problem - Get to the hard reset screen and opt to reset it to then go back to the custom recovery. Simply restoring my old backup worked.
I Just recently tried to roll back to the NCG kernel from lollipop on my verion s5 and now I am stuck in the recovery boot screen. Plugging it in to the laptop makes the phone go to the recovery boot screen. Also, i tried a factory data reset as well as a cache partition wipe but i have had no luck of getting past the recovery screen. Upon shutting the phone off and booting up, it just stalls at the samsung logo screen and then goes to the recovery boot screen. I have tried taking out the battery and sim card and booting after that to no success as well. If anyone has any info on how to get past the recovery boot screen and get my phone back to working i would be extremelly thankful.

You might have to use a usb jig. You power off you phone, plug in the jig and it boots you to download mode.

can you hold the buttons necessary to get into download mode? It's "looping" but if you can get into Dl mode, you can reflash the ROM
