So I have one of the USB keyboards and it works great, but takes up the port. There can be found here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1175316
I am honestly happy with that one BUT
1) I am wondering if there is a bluetooth keyboard folio/case yet for the Iconia Tab so the port is not taken
2) If there is an Acer branded keyboard so all of the keys will work with the specific tablet
3) do the Apple and Xoom bluetooth keyboard folio/case work with the Acer?
month later - anything?
thought I would bump this thread. Is there ANY Bluetooth keyboard folios / cases that works with the Acer yet???
I don't think that the xoom bluetooth shouldn't have any problems, because it's both Android and bluetooth.
I wouldn't buy apple's keyboard before you can go into a store and ask if you can try it (because it can have a security handshake with other apple hardware)
I'm looking for a case that can hold a keyboard and tablet in one, but havn't found one for the Acer just yes (if you find one, let me know)
Xoom keyboard does work and there is a keyboard that Acer makes, just google it .
But I haven't seen any bluetooth cases yet.
Here is one I am considering: http://amzn.to/xJLQIO
Reviews on it are a little hard to go by, since the only reviewers so far are Xoom or Thrive users, and I'm not sure how the dimensions compare.
The mounting solution is rather interesting. It comes with 2 different sizes of rubber pieces that slide over the corners of the tablet, then Velcro to the inside of the folio. With our tablets being a bit on the heavy side, I'm not sure how well or long that would hold.
One thing I like about this one over the USB one mentioned in the OP (aside from it leaving the port open) is that this is a free standing case that looks like it could sit on your lap fairly easy, whereas the other one has that narrow easel stand which requires that it sit on a flat surface.
I'm still torn between them. If I had the cash, I'd just buy them both and return the one I don't like but that's not really an option, so I'll just hope someone else on here has tried this case.
There is an acer A500 specific keyboard. I use it and it works well. It has quick access keys for swapping apps and such straight from the keyboard. Not sure about a folio case though. I just use a laptop sleeve to carry everything and a hipstreet tablet stand to keep the tablet up.
I use a BT keyboard designed for the HP Touchpad and it works great

Check out eBay, they have some nice folio cases, pretty cheap too

Thanks for the info - can you please provide some links to the keyboard you like and use and the sleeve, etc. Thanks!

I bought the Kensington and it is GREAT. It is the only case i use with my Acer now. The keyboard is really nice, no lag and the entire thing is first class.
this is the best android-buttoned keyboard (IMHO) that i have found. probably gonna get it when i have some leftover cash. has anyone here tried it with our tab?

The keyboard in the Kensington FOLIO KEYBOARD CASE is almost exactly the same as that sony one, and you get the full case/cover.
The wireless keyboard in the Kensington folio is just about the best wireless keyboard I have purchased to date, and you get the case with it. Can use with or without the case.
well, i'm not really into the folios, and the kingston doesn't seem to have the android specific keys like the sony....

what do you mean? all of the keys work with Android perfectly??
if you look at the one i linked to, it has dedicated keys for back, home, multitask, menu, and search. the "android buttons".
the picture quality of the kingston wasn't that great but it didn't look like it had the dedicated android keys to me...

the Kensignton one is NOT a cheap overseas one - it is much nicer
Check out this page on their website for info, videos, etc -
http://www.kensington.com/kensingto...niversal-bt-keyboard-case-for-10-tablets.aspx
This is their brand new one that looks amazing -
http://www.kensington.com/kensingto...pert-folio-keyboard-for-android®-tablets.aspx
I DID NOT buy direct from them as I found them much cheaper elsewhere
i said PICTURE quality was not that great. kingston is a good brand, i've bought their products before.
perhaps you could take a picture of your kingston's keyboard so we can see what the key layout is? i can't find a good pic online.
The touchstone is a QI standard inductive charger so it should work right?
This is what the general consensus is, but won't know for sure until we get one. I ordered a couple of them for 5 bucks just in case.

I think it should work, the problem however will be that the Phone won't stay on the touchstone, because the Nexus 4 doesn't seem to have magnets in the back of the device (That beeing said it shouldn't be too hard to mod the touchstone).
It seems like the official Dock uses rubber to make the phone stay in position.

Verge video stated that it does indeed have magnets both in the phone and the charger. The rubber? surface is simply to keep it from scratching.

This is what I had read too. That is does have magnets. Never used a palm pre or anything like this with wireless charging other than my tooth brush. I wonder how strong it is? Like will I notice there is a magnet holding the phone to the wireless dock when I pick it up?

looks like its strong enough to hold it up in the car if its placed upside down you can google pictures of it inside a car. i can link photos yet
That's cool. I didn't think about the magnets being strong enough to hold up in car. Let's hope so. Like this picture.

It has been confirmed by Androidcentral's Admin that Touchstone will NOT work on Nexus 4.
It's pretty cool. I hate Samsung's attempts to milk what few Galaxy Nexus users there were by coming up with a different (and super expensive) dock for every possible situation they could think of, instead of making one flexible dock.
Also, why are you buying Touchstones? We don't even know how much the ball costs yet.

People were buying Touchstone docks because they're like $5 and if it turned out they would work, they were afraid the cost would jump up.
And yeah, we DO know how much the ball will cost. $50-55.

It would've been hilarious if the charging portion of the Touchstone worked, but the magnet was flipped so it repelled the Nexus 4.

I bet the coil in the touchstone can be reversed. Still doesn't guarantee it will charge.
Will NOT Work!
I had a GS3 International and got the verizon inductive charging back for it. Worked flawlessly with all Qi compatible transmitter pads like the Energizer ones. However, the Palm Touchstone is NOT Qi compatible. Hence its a no go for the Nexus 4.
I am very interested in the Fatboy pillows though. Are they out for sale yet? The colors are quite interesting compared to the plain black orb from Google.
Confirmed by android central. palm will not work with nexus 4. Hopefully google sells one for less than 20 bucks.!

No, you THINK you know. Until you can provide a link with official pricing details, it's speculation just like everything else. Googles been putting "break-even" prices on all its newest devices, who's to say they won't surprise with a cheaper dock solution too?
The link to the definitive android central "no".
I've seen lot's of great recommendations for Car Docks for the Nexus 4 without the bumper, and even then most of them don't have USB to dock and go, so I wanted to ask, does anyone know of a car dock that (like the cheap infuse dock) has the USB plug and also fits the Nexus 4 with the bumper on?
Thanks!
Brodit/Proclip have a dock for Nexus 4 with official bumper. It's pricey, but I use it and it's perfect.

Seconded. It's perfect. I actually got a an adjustable one which allows to me to use different bumpers or go naked and still have a secure hold. Strongly recommended.
Hello,
I'm using that one. That's a very flexible car dock to use different phones in diffterent cars. I used the HTC HD2 (naked and also with bumper), HTC Desire HD (naked and also with bumper), Galaxy Nexus (incl. flip case) and the Nexus 4 (naked and Ringke Fusion case) in that car dock. I'm really satisfied using that car dock for 2 years now.
Maybe this one is similar and the Nexus 4 incl. bumper should fit.

iOttie easy view $17 through amazon.
This doesn't have the USB as part of it but it's a great solution to those of us that change phones and/or cases every now and then. I've used it so far with my Vibe, Sensation, GS3, Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 4 all with and without cases. It's adjustable but looks fantastic even if it is overly priced. Great permanent solution IMHO.

This is the one I use:

Just slide the phone, complete with the bumper, into it and the charger lines up perfectly.

Sorry, the one I'm using doesn't have integrated USB. Only the models strictly built for the Nexus 4 have a dock.
This is what I have: http://www.proclipusa.com/store/pro...le-holder-for-devices-with-a-case-246824.aspx
It has a range of 6mm - 10mm depth. The phone's depth is 9.1mm. With my Poetic Borderline Bumper Case I measured 11mm, however it still fits perfectly.
This is with the integrated dock, but only works with the N4 + OEM Bumper: http://www.proclipusa.com/brodit-de...d-cigarette-lighter-adapter-512488-19162.aspx
Good luck on your hunt!
I have the iOttie Easy View.

I'm looking for something like this and it looks nice.
Thank you
I have the Kropsson Aero but not the N800, which has integrated usb charging and other ports as well as a led lighting IIRC. A tad expensive and not portable like the Airframe. Also a little more expensive but well built. It ships from Korea, it took 3 weeks for my item to come in from there to the USA. Just food for thought.
I initially dismissed it because based on the size, it may not fit. But if it did fit, there wouldn't be a pass through for the USB on the bottom claw. But looking at the pics, there seems to be an opening. Maybe whoever wants to buy one, email the seller to ensure it can fit?

I can't post a link yet, but it's easy enough to find on the hp store.
Has anyone bought this yet? What are your thoughts on it if so?
I've been using a cheap Poetic case I had from when I had a 2012 Nexus 7, but it doesn't fit quite right and it covers the stylus, headphone port, and hdmi port so have been looking for a better stand case. Most of the universals just don't work because of the placement of the power button, ports, or stylus.

Hey guys,
I am looking for a case that has a kickstand, work well with magnetic car mount, and works with wireless charging (this part is not that important). So far, I have three cases from Amazon and returned all three. While they worked well, and I actually liked them, they failed at staying on my magnetic car mount. This part is very important for me. Other than that, they were amazing!
Is there anything you know that works well with magnetic car mount and has a kickstand?
I have a Note 10+
What cases did you try? It would help us to know what hasn't worked so far.
Here are the ones that did not work so far:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VPLR2TR/
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VL47P4H/
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07XQBGMTY/
Pitaka (if you can live without the kickstand) - and you can always use something cool like this (which is tiny when folded up - I even have it on a keychain!):

I looked at this case several time and have skipped it. I love Spigen myself. I looked the reviews and had mixed feelings about the magnetic mount. The foam could prevent a good grip for the magnetic mount.

Actually I didn't understand your reply because I thought it was alot cheaper than that - and it is! I agree right now it is horribly priced on Amazon, but when I bought it on Amazon (copy of my order is first picture) it was only $18.99!
The second picture has other places where you can get it closer to that price...
Also in that same first picture (the order) - note a really cool tiny item I have hanging on my keychain as well - the Nekteck USB Type C OTG Micro SD Card Reader with Additional Standard USB Port Connector (third picture shows more about it).
Thoughts?
