Dont think can use the stock firmware..
Hi Guys...
I bought my note 2 w/o contract from Samsung shop, but I'm using Starhub line.
So do I use the stock ROM for Starhub?
I'm thinking of flashing my ROM as I keep getting an error due to my mistake of "Force Close" gmail apps yesterday.
Now the Play Store apps keep closing when I opened it.
Googled and tried the suggested methods of deleting Google sync acct, hard reboot, still same.
Will try to factory reset and if still fail will reflash the stock ROM.

I'm same as you. Bought mine from Sammy shop running stinktel line.
There's no starhub,M1 or stinktel Rom.
You get lesser bloatware compare to Telco set.
Try to delete play store and reinstall.

Don't think that root will help. You may try to flash stock Rom from sammobile.

Will not work. If you don't want the bloatware, just change your CSC to XSP, but be prepared for a factory reset and back to XXALIB.

search cm recovery for galaxy y in google.itll give you link and instructions
Download update.zip file [google it] then send this file in sdcard.
After that turn of ur mobile.
Pres vol up key + Home+ power on buttons in one time
Then system console will open
Select flash from sd card
Use volume and home key to nevigate:screwy::screwy::screwy::banghead::screwy::screwy::screwy:
Select update.zip
And youre done

Do search "root samsung y" or "universal GB Root"

Why not root the duos phone like all the other duos users? Head over to duos development section.. see sticky threads.. DIC thread... get link to root thread in first post.. go to 20th page in root thread.. you will get updated file.. and see instructions in first page of that thread.. if you get problem.. the ask in help thread..

Download update.zip if u have downloaded it then go to recovery via 3 button combo
Apply update from sd
And then flash update.zip.
All done.

nothing to worry mate just go http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1465800 download rour stock rom and flash via odin it'll be allright !
By the way are you sure it was stuck there at y logo because sometimes you'd need to wait as long as 5 minutes after fresh flash ! And what were you flashing ?

Wow, I don't think you can run that, could be wrong, you would probably get it to flash, but the network may not work at all.

I'm pretty sure it won't brick your device as long as you flash your own kernel or a kernel for your device after flashing firmware but before rebooting. I have tried a few 9505 roms without bricking.

Okay, I get that, but it's kind of ridiculous to ask others to potentially brick their device to test something you want so that you don't have to brick your device. Get what I'm saying?
Anyways if you go into the original developement thread for our s4 there are kernels for our device. They are labeled jfltecan or i337m. These are safe for your phone. A kernel is a layer of software that starts the hardware and allows the OS to communicate with the display, radio, camera, speakers, etc... When you flash a custom rom from these threads it usually includes a kernel. This is the main part of rom flashing that can cause bricks. If the kernel is wrong you're going to have a bad time.
If you have a kernel you know works for your phone you can flash that after flashing your rom but before rebooting. That way the worst thing you should have to face is a bootloop.
Hopefully you find this helpful.

They will, but you will want to have a jfltecan kernel that you can flash before rebooting. Flash the 9505 rom then flash proper kernel, clear cache and dalvik cache then reboot.

It will bootloop if it does not work, I haven't seen software brick a s4 yet, unless you start playing with the bootloader/partitions, which if you are not a dev, shouldn't even be concerned with.

Most of us can't really tell u if it will work we r using att phones so we will have to flash a different kernel then u so what works for u will be different try it urself or go do some research plz
I soft bricked my capitvate a millions times back in the day its the only way to learn is to research or trial and error pick one

Hello,i'd like to ask if there is any way to use the usb bus drivers of S3 to my S3neo
I have rooted the phone and i would like to ask if it is possible to force the phone to provide power to the otg cable.I know that it might be a hardware thing ,but without even rooting the phone,the otg drivers where installed.

2- it supports otg "u can make sure using otg checker apk"
3- it doesnt read otg due to kernel stuff and I have been searching for kernels all day long but nothing so far
4-your choice is really good and its no big deal if it doesnt read otg cable

I know it supports but when on the road you need to have a power bank for the Y cable i have made that is why i am trying to find the drivers to enable the bus.
It s a great phone so if you could find a kernel please post it and i will try it!thank you
Heyho i also couldn't use an normal otg cabke ot the samsung adapter for my samsung galaxy s3 neo and i can't buy an y otg cable in austria so i wanted to ask if rher is an kernerl for GT-I9301I with wihich it would work???

just google : how to make a y cable & fallow instruction
then install usb otg helper & stick mount
Well i will try it out but i must say that it seems not to be so easy.

It is realy interesting that the phone could nanage a TB because as micro SD it only works zntil 64 GB

yes i made a Y cable {making a Y cable is so easy you need an otg cable & usb cable}
my s3 neo{i9301i} mounts 1 TB external hard in a few seconds

yes, it does support OTG. You have to connect the usb with an OTG Y cable.
As simple as that
